  1. Thanks. Had no idea who the players were, but Duchene was traded well after 1/1/17. Must be a glitch in the Uber video timer. Anyway, it sure lends credence to the idea of locker room cancer. That is just embarrassing for that organization, especially in light of the Karlsson situation previously.
  2. I think he tore them while he was in the midst of Hulking, so the league gives him a pass.
  3. To his credit, he cited PI in his post.
  4. You forgot number 4: incomplete pass, which is the most likely outcome. They are called low percentage plays for a reason.
  5. Tried that, too. Their voices are now in my head and I can’t make it stop! Where’s my zippo?!
  6. Most Monday nights, while listening to Booger and Wittless, I have an overwhelming urge to skewer both of my ears with hot metal spikes. Not any more. I no longer think that will suffice. I’m thinking I now have to douse myself in jet fuel and light a match to have any chance of escaping the suffering.
  7. Agree totally as the book on McDermott is far from written yet. I’m just saying comparing Belichick to any other defensive minded coach is a stretch for me. Like all HCs, McD has to fully understand the entire game and nobody has ever done that to the level of Belichick across all phases and aspects of the game, imo.
  8. I agree with your larger point here, but starting out as coaches in the NFL on the D side of the ball is where the similarities between Belichick and everyone else ends. Hes not just a “defensive minded coach”, he is a total master of the game of football, in all phases, in all game situations. He’s a football savant if there is such a thing. I mean, he was breaking down game films for his dad at the Naval academy when he was 9 years old for crissakes.
  9. When was that recorded? The time stamp on the taxi camera says it’s from 1/1/2017. That was a while ago but the Sens weren’t the poor team they are now. Curious.
  10. Admittedly, I didn’t hear his pc so I don’t have the full context, which is why I asked for it. If there is no further context, then it was an asinine thing for a HC to say after another blowout loss. If there is further context, I’m all ears and more than willing to give him the benefit of the doubt as I usually do.
  11. Does the who and what of it really matter? Ya just gotta rage against something; anything. It’s all the rage and the cool kids are doing it.
  12. Not in the FlexSeal line of products, so not interested. Appreciate the offer, though.
  13. I just want to take this opportunity to say how much I love the entire line of FlexSeal products.
  14. Someone please tell me the the full context of this quote will make it look less like the “WTF” comment it appears to be on the surface. My biggest concern is that he’s selling the same garbage to that locker room.
  15. I like to think of it as the season is half begun.
  16. Agreed. There is a lot to like about the Jets D. One question, how can one really tell when things aren’t going well for the Bills offense? Seems we’d need a comparative good performance to gauge against. Do any of us remember such a performance?
  17. Sold the farm? More like they expanded the farm first and then parceled off a few acres instead. They had 8 picks in the last draft, including 2 in the first round and currently have 10 picks in next year’s draft. Retaining that many draft selections is not the definition of selling the farm. We we can argue that they should have kept the extra acres instead and I get that, but I don’t fault Beane for executing his plan, especially in the short term, to position himself to select the players he had targeted. That’s why he acquired those extra acres in the first place.
  18. Not necessarily, there isn’t a hard and fast rule. Zone coverage ability does require a stronger conceptual understanding of passing schemes and how OCs utilize various personnel to attack a defense. Discipline in drop angles and depths is important. Also, taller, longer players are preferable to many coaches who use zone coverages predominantly. Ideally, a CB would be great at both man and zone coverage, but that’s more rare than we might think.
  19. All true. And I don’t take anything away from Lynn who should garner some CotY attention, but it sure helps when you inherit a Hall of Fame QB.
  20. In a word: insubordination.
  21. I could watch Aaron Rodgers play QB and never get sick of it.
