  1. Absolutely. We’ve seen that manifest throughout camp and in the two preseason games.
  2. Ah, there it is. What part of, “Now before anyone goes off, I’m not saying either is as good as Gronk; far from it,” was hard to understand? My post was offered in a far larger context than a mere comparison between the talent levels of Gronk and anyone on our roster. It was about Daboll more than anything else.
  3. With practices closed to the general public, I am just so grateful that journalistic titans like Thad Brown are there to give us the real scoop.
  4. Daboll has his Gronk and Hernandez to create matchup problems and dictate pace to exploit favorable sub packages. Now before anyone goes off, I’m not saying either is as good as Gronk; far from it. Just saying Daboll is discovering two new tools in his box, he has seen up close how those tools may be used, and I won’t be the least bit surprised to see him utilize certain schemes as a result.
  5. Petermanesque! Regular season Petermanesque that is.
  6. I enjoyed the BN article this morning where we learned that Allen insisted on taking the ball rather than deferring if we won the opening coin toss. Said he wanted to establish the offense early and get into a rhythm. Great sign of maturity there and I’m glad the coaches indulged his request. He seemed much calmer and more in command to start the game vs. last week when he was over amped. Sure looked like it, anyway.
  7. I’m guessing he means Allen is a fun loving kid at heart off the field and, based on the many videos, etc., of him enjoying various activities off the field, I’d say that’s true.
  8. Yeoman’s work. Well done.
  9. 20/20 foresight is so much more impressive than 20/20 hindsight. Can you please link us to all your posts objecting to the above signings WHEN THEY OCCURRED? We’ll wait.
  10. The term “disloyal fan” isn’t in my vocabulary. Especially when it comes to honest assessments of our opponents. If I can’t say an opponent is better without being labeled a “disloyal fan”, then whomever is labeling me as such doesn’t have a CLUE about competition. To the point at hand, what I’m saying is, our secondary is leaps and bounds better than theirs. And our poor receiving corps that got the better of them last season, is much improved this season. And again, none of our conjecture means squat when the regular season starts.
  11. I prefer the word “exploited.”
  12. So, your answer is the Jets receivers would perform better against our secondary than our receivers would against their secondary. While I agree that Anderson is good and I like Enunwa as well, the collective numbers from both games last year combined don’t suggest that their receivers got the better of our secondary than our receivers got the better against theirs; Anderson’s one long catch vs. White in the second game notwithstanding. And while I know that Darnold and Anderson didn’t play in the first game at MetLife and that was a huge advantage for us, that had no impact on how our receivers did against their secondary. And since we’ve upgraded our receiving corps and the Jets didn’t, I see no reason to believe that trend won’t continue. And I say that knowing that all preseason predictions go out the window the minute the regular season kicks off. ?
  13. Since their receivers and our receivers will never play against each other, I’ll ask a relevant question that fact poses: Which receiver group will have the better success vs. the opposing secondary; Jets receivers vs. our secondary or our receivers vs. the Jets secondary? Since Jamal Adams is the only one from the Jets would would start in our D backfield, I know what my answer would be. That O line question is huge. If they can’t stay out of unmanageable down/distance situations, it won’t matter much how good Darnold, Bell, and their receivers are.
  14. Not defending Goodell, but the PI review rule can’t be blamed on him. Blame it on Sean Peyton who lobbied the coaches who lobbied the rules committee to enact the new rule.
  15. Love watching him abuse Kiko. Never gets old.
  16. Thad Brown would have to call a doctor after four hours.
  17. He did, but none of the 11 completions was a “super” pass and the two incompletions were worst passes he’s ever seen. Ever.
  18. In touch with your inner Thad Brown, I see. ?
  19. Just a matter of time before we get Nance and Romo every week instead.
  20. My poor attempt at even poorer humor. Apologies.
  21. 15 yard punts are now “gorgeous?” My, how our standards have slipped.
  22. Then, like I do with Thad Brown, I’d be questioning your ability to check your bias and immediately question your credibility on EVERYTHING you report.
