  1. To ensure he gets his targeted player rather than depend on a player wanting to sign as a free agent or going unclaimed on waivers until it was the Pats*** turn to submit a claim.
  2. All opposing RBs are spied every game as they are someone’s key on defense on every play. Usually an LB and usually the MLB. As such I think we will see a lot of Edmunds vs. Bell. I suspect Milano will have coverage responsibility as well at times.
  3. I’m looking forward to the re-introduction of the tight end into our offense.
  4. Well, if we go off last year’s performance, why not start with head to head play?
  5. He was largely absent during the ‘Hard Knocks’ series this year. Can’t remember when we saw as little of a GM while filming that show. They are usually a focal point. Hmm.
  6. Right. Like we don’t know AB’s side of this already.
  7. Tell us what you see in the following images:
  8. Probably because he wears that skully too tight.
  9. I’ll bet Amari Cooper is happy they traded Amari Cooper at this point.
  10. I agree that nobody can say they saw all of this coming. But that one mistake in 9 seasons? It’s all I needed to see to convince me I wouldn’t want him anywhere NEAR my favorite team. He broke the code. Showed his true colors. And the fact he felt he needed to begrudge his teammate a much deserved team MVP honors only served to underscore my assessment of him. Didn’t want him then. Happy we don’t have him now.
  11. Haha. My bad. I get my sucky Carr QBs confused all the time!
  12. One of the reason I don’t want to see AB suspended is because I’d love to see him realize the difference between BR and DC at quarterback. BR is one of the best ever at extending plays while allowing his receivers five seconds to get open (which no DB on the planet can prevent) and then finding them. David Carr? Not so much.
  13. That about covers it. I’m not gonna criticize him on the draft picks until we see how they shake out. Ferrell is a good player. But I’m glad they took him which helped Oliver fall to us.
  14. Indeed. That’s why they play the games. Bell was certainly on another level with that great Steelers offense, but I need to be convinced that he will simply pick up where he left off after being idle for 19 months on a less talented team.. Lotta New York media hype in the meantime, though.
  15. I don’t get it, either. The Jest ran the ball 46 times for 161 yards against us last year. I get that they’ve added Osemele and Kalil and have L Bell, but are they that much better? Not imo. Thanks for this. Additional context is important. When we start playing with more leads, especially in the second half of games, our run defense will improve greatly from a statistical standpoint.
  16. Overrated or not, Beane had nothing to do with Davis or Boldin quitting. You take players at their word, make the leap of faith, and hope for the best. Like Beane said about McCarron, “AJ isn’t who we thought he was”, the same can be said about Davis and Boldin.
  17. I’d bet that Mayock wasn’t on board with the signing from the beginning. Mayock may leave before Brown does, given the power structure in Oakland. When the HC is getting paid $100m, the GM isn’t gonna win any differences of opinion on players.
  18. When Ryan Leaf calls out your character, that’s all that can be said. Oakland Raiders. Still practicing subtraction by addition.
  19. Not surprised to hear this. In the first five minutes of his introductory press conference, Krueger displayed more mental capacity than Housley did in two years.
  20. I’m thinking the same. Especially where any potential deal with Winnipeg is concerned. Both Connor and Laine are in a holding pattern and their deals will have a big impact on the Jets’ salary cap moving forward so slotting Risto needs to wait. My hope is that in order to slot Risto, they give us Ehlers to make it work.
