  1. Right, and he was addressing that few. The amount of fans, large or small, is irrelevant to the point he made which, again, is that some are too impatient and have already decided he needs to be replaced. I have no desire to discuss the flaws in his game with you. None. They exist. Period.
  2. Kind of sucks for Conor McDermott to be released days before he gets to return to his hometown for a game.
  3. I’m guessing The Duke because they are not happy with Zay.
  4. Benoit’s negative points are all valid. They’re just not balanced with equally valid positive examples. But that was the slant Benoit intended from the outset.
  5. Where's the D pairings? Oh-Crap Not-Again We’re-Screwed
  6. No, I think his point was that fans are too quick to run players out of town before they’ve shown enough one way or the other. Fans have plenty control over that. Like I’ve said before, if Allen isn’t allowed to have bad games, then there is no hope for some fans around here because he’s going to have more bad games and, BRACE YOURSELF, some of them may be as bad or even worse than last Sunday. Some fans may want to get out while the getting is good.
  7. No, I think Benoit, a respected NFL writer, authors a piece about Allen and either didn’t see or doesn’t mention the plays Allen has exhibited all season, including the second half of the Pats*** game, that illustrate precisely the ways his coaches have schemed to mitigate his flaws. But then, that would have mitigated his preconceived point of the article in the first place.
  8. I get the impression the author didn’t watch much of the first three games of the season. Nor did he take note of the second half of the Pats*** game.
  9. Sobotka on a 2nd line with Skinner. Scandella and Jokiharu as a D pair on the road in the Burgh with the ‘Guins getting last change and so many opportunities to get the Crosby or Malkin lines matched up against them. That at is one brass set of cahones you’re sporting with that bet. Good luck.
  10. Yeah, I read it. He’s got a point about those fans who’ve seen enough of Allen and already want to replace him. That’s not blaming the fans for anything, it’s calling them out for their impatience. Anyway, it’s 1:45pm, shouldn’t you be reminding us that we could have drafted Mahomes?
  11. So, Josh Allen ended up being terrible. Got it.
  12. Well, they’re 3-1 in large part because Allen put them on his back and got them there. Or are you forgetting the Jets and Cinci comebacks and his 200+ passing yards in the first half vs the Giants that pretty much put it out of reach?
  13. So, bench him for having a bad game, but make it sound like it’s out of concern for his health while making sure to sound as condescending as possible. Got it.
  14. I appreciate where you’re coming from here, BF4, but rest assured that my assessment of Scandella comes from one place and one place only; his utter suckitude on the ice.
  15. Well, if Scandella is easily replaceable, and I agree entirely that he is, that’s all the more reason for him to be the 7th D man. And perhaps he will be once Montour and Pilut return. I hope a reduction in minutes and subsequent less reliance on Risto along with exposure to new coaching and philosophies will result in better play as well. I kind of doubt it though. Yeah, he’s still a young player, but imo, he’s fully baked at this point. But he’s still a major pain in the ass to play against and that counts for something in my book.
  16. I agree Scandella is a inconsequential player. Which is why he should be up in the press box as the 7th D man. Risto, for all his mental lapses, is a pain in the ass to play against. If I could say the same thing about Scandella, I wouldn’t be opposed to him being in the top 6. But I can’t.
  17. Really? He’s good for at least two gorgeous, tape to tape passes to the opposition a game in his own D zone. That, and he can’t anticipate worth a damn.
  18. Pretty sure stage 4 is “frolicking.”
  19. First half, maybe. Second half, he looked like he could do it and wanted to do it.
  20. Exactly. And that’s precisely what he was well on his way to doing in the 2nd half on Sunday. Other than that questionable INT in the 3rd qtr, he did a great job of turning it around in the second half.
  21. If Allen isn’t “allowed” to have a bad game, there is no hope for him or this fan base. NEWSFLASH: Josh Allen will have other bad games. Some around here may want to brace themselves.
  22. Yep. The sooner he’s able to wash the bad taste of the Pats*** game, the better. Plus, he beat the Titans with a game winning drive last year as well. He’s familiar with them.
  23. That video shows exactly what I meant. And I’ll give Daboll credit as well. I liked the quicker tempo with Allen getting us to the LOS with a lot of time to survey his pre-snap reads. I’d like to see more of that moving forward. Seems we are constantly in too much of hurry with the checks and snapping the ball barely in time.
