  1. Quentin Nelson was made to play guard in this league.
  2. I agree entirely. And I hope the coaches and players are taking it that way, too. I want them loose and ready to punch the Pats*** in the mouth. Too often we’ve come out over hyped and hyperventilating at game time only to get worn out by all that emotion.
  3. Gotta agree. “The Drive” and “The Fumble” games were two SB appearances denied.
  4. A taste of their own medicine. And I could see Daboll doing that a lot.
  5. Confuse Brady? Can’t see it. Confuse others on his offense? That I can see, especially if Edelman doesn’t play.
  6. Contrary to popular belief, the key to beating NE*** is stopping the run. Has been for several years now. Brady is hard enough to control when he IS forced to be one dimensional, it’s virtually impossible when he’s constantly in manageable down and distance situations.
  7. And one of those INTs was a pick 6 to Poyer.
  8. Night before, the whole team is at the team hotel.
  9. That defensive YPA passing stat is impressive considering we don’t get the number of sacks that the Bears do and thus don’t have the benefit of as much yardage subtracted from opposing teams’ gross passing totals over that time span.
  10. Absolutely! Words of wisdom and offered immediately on the sideline. That’s invaluable.
  11. The more things change, the more they stay the same. TV ratings for the Rams and Raiders in the local LA market have always lagged. Back in the day, the Rams and Raiders often placed third in their Sunday afternoon time slots behind Sunday matinee movies and reruns of Gilligan’s Island. And that is anathema to the local affiliates and one of the main reasons why the sheer size of LA’s TV market was never a factor in the league placing a team there.
  12. Other coaches do it all the time, or at least attempt to.
  13. He was gonna do that, anyway.
  14. Glad to see he’s being accountable for his actions while here. There was no shortage of posts in these parts suggesting the Bills were at fault and screwed RI by asking him to take a pay cut. Just posted similar thoughts.
  15. Your eyes deceived you. Oliver: 36 snaps, 59%; Phillips: 22 snaps, 36%.
  16. AGAIN.....NOTHING.....HE’S.....SEEN. Either that or he has seen each snap Oliver has taken and JUST DOESN’T UNDERSTAND WTF HE’S SEEING.
  17. Nothing he’s watched, apparently.
  18. This is an extremely myopic take.
  19. I can appreciate that. The similarity lies in his being flushed right and throwing while on the run in that direction. Allen can make uncommon throws with that arm and I think he’s too confident at times. But I far prefer that mentality to a QB that lacks any confidence at all.
  20. Gotta disagree here. Brady eats blitzes for lunch; he simply can’t be fooled. Gotta stop their run game and stay disciplined in pass D. That said, bringing occasional A gap pressure as Oliver eats up a double team might rush him a bit.
  21. Not having Edelman would be big. BB is gonna take away Brown and bracket Beasley as @thebandit27 has pointed out. Our TEs need to make plays early to get BB to come off that. Allen will have his hands full pith various looks, etc. so Daboll really has to be on his game as well.
  22. Well, considering NOBODY stops that “dink and dunk nonsense that is NE”, I’d say we are in pretty good company. The key to beating NE***’s offense is stopping their running game and making them do just that while hoping for a tipped pass and INT or other miscue to occur by having to take so many plays to get down field. Not it sure how we are gonna beat that defense, though. It’s for real and playing at a very high level. ^This. How many 70 yard plus drives did we have the first two weeks?
