  1. Ok. I just rewatched it again. I had been looking for a leg trip. Didn’t think about him tripping him with his hand. He did grab and apply pressure to his inner thigh/knee. I stand corrected.
  2. It does seem that way to me too, but in what way? We’re blitzing less than any team in the league (yet leading in sacks). At times he’s dropping back some DEs into coverage and bringing Bernard or Milano to take their rush spot. In general, it looks like Bernard has been playing an attacking style, trusting his instincts and being decisive, replacing the exact opposite in edmunds. I think a lot of it has to do with confusing the QBs with different coverages (and playing vs bad OL’s), but others could probably be more descriptive in how we’re getting it done. The addition of Floyd has had a lot to do with it as well. overall…..I’m very pleased with our D and mcdermott calling the plays. We seem to be playing very fast. But also….Zach Wilson, Slimmy G and Sam Howell. Sunday will tell us a lot. I’m not so much worried about them going over the top as I am breaking screens and runs for huge gains and TDs
  3. No doubt. 9 in one game….. this % will change drastically as the games mount. Nothing against our pass rush…..it’s one of the best DL’s in the league, but we won’t maintain this pace. I’d be happy with 9 sacks over the next 3 games combined.
  4. For sure. Our pass protection was amazing. I don’t think Josh got touched all game. Has anyone rewatched and found out how many times we used the TEs and RBs to help? Iirc, I think we used 6 offensive lineman on a handful of occasions as well. Get Josh ample protection and we should roll
  5. Great post, thanks. I agree with everything you said…. except Tua getting sacked 9 times. 101 pass attempts he’s been sacked once. Their offense gets the ball out of his hand so quickly, I don’t think it’s possible to sack him more than 2-3 times unless McD can put together the perfect coverages and take away their looks in the first 2 seconds. Gonna be tough, but maybe McD is the man for the job. He’s been up to the task so far
  6. I’d love him, but not for our first while he’s already getting paid. 2nd and other draft/player consideration, sure
  7. Glad you went to the game, saw our boys kick *** and had blast 👍🏻 Latavious Is a beast of a blocker and a beast of a tackle breaker. He’s still fast “enough”. I love him as our 3rd down guy and hope he’s that guy all season. I definitely prefer him over Harris. One of my favorite Beane gems of the offseason. As of right now…. Beane looks to have had a GREAT offseason Lawson was also to blame. He hit the RT with an inside jab step then accelerated around the outside and was all over Howell pretty quickly.
  8. Thanks. I haven’t rewatched the game in detail yet, so I can’t comment on his overall blocking. What did you make of the “trip”? I’d call it a great block.
  9. Yeah those were money!
  10. Can mcdermott disrupt the timing on their quick pass attack? Can our offense control the clock and run the ball effectively. if we can do both, I think we can hold them to 18-24. if we can do one, but not the other, 27-32 If we can’t do either, 35+
  11. I’m going to give him the benefit of the doubt atm. Yeah he played 36 snaps. 🤷🏻‍♂️
  12. Lol….my bad. Thought you were talking about Kincaid being an idiot. yeah I agree. He’s made some really bone headed play calls in key situations. The 3rd and 12 screen to Diggs too….. 🤦🏻‍♂️
  13. He wanted to get paid. No one was willing to pay him….maybe because there was a glut of vet pass rushers still available. Beane pounced at the right time. I’m ecstatic to have signed the guy, but I also feel bad for him in some respect. He deserved to get paid more than he did. He’s extremely undervalued league wide imo
  14. Examples of being an idiot other than his illegal shift?
  15. Little to no chance you win that bet…..as long as Dorsey isn’t an idiot
  16. Thanks for not making a new thread on this. I wasn’t a believer after last season and was hoping we’d move on but didn’t think there was any chance of that. So far this season, he’s trending up but he’s susceptible to making really bad play calls in crucial situations. I’m feeling better about him after 3 weeks. I’ll probably be all in if he figures out how to best use Kincaid and Harty…..while keeping Josh under center the majority of the time
  17. It’s not just you @Don Otreply. Looks like the website has been remodeled
  18. For sure. He loves to play “I told you so” and to play that game, you sometimes have to make snap judgements. I’m also guilty of giving my opinion on players before they play a game, or after only - handful of games. I didn’t think Bernard was a good pick and didn’t think he could hold up vs the run in the NFL. He didn’t impress me in limited reps last season. After a handful of games, I look to be incorrect. And I’m very happy about that. He’s been fun to watch the last 2 weeks. I disliked the Elam pick. I thought he was a 2nd rd prospect and knew that he’d need time to adjust to zone. I was happy about his play last year and I haven’t given up on him yet. I wish we’d dress him over Dane, but he doesn’t play STs, so I understand why he doesn’t dress. Jury is out, but is trending towards bust than a good pick. G I thought Spencer Browns suck could put a kink in our title hopes the last couple seasons. I’ve been right about that to date….. but he’s shown some improvement this year. Let’s hope the improvement continues. I loved the Harty and Sherfield signings. So far, Harty has done nothing and it doesn’t seem like we can get him open (or he can get open). Maybe he needs that superdome turf to look super fast out there. He hasn’t looked nearly as fast in a bills uniform as he did in NO. I look to be wrong about his signing (so far anyway). Sherfield isn’t being used very much as a WR and I haven’t focused on him as a run blocker yet. Tough to tell if he’ll be a nice piece come playoffs, but he might. I said the Leonard Floyd signing was our best offseason signing (not including the draft picks). I was confidant that he’ll be a force…..and he is. I was very vocal about Kincaid being a future star and Torrance being a quality starting RG for a long time. Time will tell.
  19. Great point regarding run success early on. Does anyone have access to the splits on 1st and 2nd half rushing YPC league wide? I believe you in that it’s tougher to run in the 1st. I’d just like to see the actual difference. Do you have thoughts on Kincaid seeing 2 quick targets and then basically being told to stand in the corner after the bogus tripling call?
  20. Sure it may. This is the post game thread are you happy with Kincaid getting 2 targets on the first series and then zero the rest of the game, while Harty is touching the ball 5 times within the offense? Do you think that’s good strategy? and I was one of the guys that really liked the Harty addition. Kincaid deserves more targets…..and not only on 1 yard passes and screens. Yeah I hear ya. I’m usually battling with you on this one…..I just don’t find it mind boggling anymore. I just expect it
  21. Idk…. I’m discussing the good and the bad. What I liked and what I disliked. I loved pretty much everything about the defense. The DL was unstoppable. The LBs were everywhere. The DBs took advantage our DLs dominance. I loved the pass blocking. Josh and Diggs played great. I didn’t like kincaids usage (especially compared to Harty). I question Dorsey’s ability to use either of those guys atm. I didn’t like a handful of Dorsey’s calls. I didn’t think the OL was getting much movement in the run game in the first half. 2 offensive TDs to 3 FGs- should the the other way around If you’ve been on this board awhile you should know that the people that are focusing “most” on the bad, do the same thing every week…… it’s who they are. Common knowledge and expected imo.
  22. I meant playmaker AND OL focused. Invest in offense over defense. Whatever can help Josh become even better
  23. And OL focused. He realizes the importance of blocking. From my experience reading Scott’s posts, I would best describe his feelings as: the bills have invested too much into the defense and the defense always fails us in the playoffs (he’s not wrong). We have Josh Allen, so stop investing so much into the D and give Josh what he needs to become the best he can be.
  24. Agreed. I understand why people gave you downvotes, but I do see where you’re coming from with regards to the run game. I thought our run game was poor in the 1st half. The results show this to be true. Our designed runs: 1st qtr- 1, -2, 1, 8, 2. 2 yards per carry That’s not good. 2nd qtr- 2, 4, 3, 2, 1, 7, 7- 3.71 ypc. That’s not good. 3rd qtr- 10, 3, 5, 3- 5.25 ypc. Solid- but only 4 rushes 4th qtr- 1, 5, -3, 10, 1, 7, 6, 34, 1, 1- 6.3 ypc- great- not much to make out of this imo. Game was over. Washington was demoralized at this point and looking to go home to their families. Many of the yards were our backups. Good nonetheless. I thought we did a very good job in pass protection, especially considering the talent level of Washington’s DL. I can remember Dion getting smoked on a 3rd and goal which forced Josh to throw it out of the end zone. Also Spencer brown getting beat another 2 times, but Josh felt it and escaped. Eager to rewatch and see how many times we gave the tackles help and chipped with TEs and RBs
