  1. Please welcome to the stage, Governor Tim Walz !! https://x.com/KristanHawkins/status/1826460624919937067
  2. The theme of last night’s show was “freedom” — freedom, Democrat style, or the new New Freedom. The emphasis of the new New Freedom is sex and abortion. Democrats have adopted the sacramental view of abortion. It’s a holy right, if not a holy rite. Anything that tends to restrict it is evil. We may be surfing on the fourth wave of liberalism. I will have to check with Charles Kesler on that. Along with abortion, the alleged banning of books by Republicans was a motif reiterated by speaker after speaker. They never did tell us what they were talking about, but it sounded bad. It is a manifestation of the Democrats’ mania to normalize the bizarreries of the sexual revolution. Nature imposes no limits because nature does not exist. The old order of freedom has long since faded. Democrats intone the word while placing their hands ever deeper in our pockets and in our lives. Tim Walz is the perfect exemplar. Rights that precede and limit the power of government are obsolete. They are the relic of an oppressive regime that is to be extirpated. All in all, I count 28 speakers and performers scheduled during prime time last night. Let me take the most notable in approximate order and offer brief comments on them. 3. The RFK factor NBC News reports that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. will suspend his presidential campaign on Friday and endorse President Trump. NBC adds that the Trump and Kennedy camps are working toward a joint appearance. Kennedy is to make what he styles an “address to the nation” this coming Friday afternoon. Perhaps the endorsement will come then. The suspension of Kennedy’s campaign could help Trump. So says Cook Political Report editor Amy Walter here on X: “In The Cook Political Report’s Swing State project survey, RFK voters in swing states are more likely to be Trump (46 percent) than Harris (26 percent).” You never can tell. I hope his endorsement, if it happens, doesn’t hurt. And you never know what other tricks the Democrats may have up their sleeves. I’d like to hear the rest of RFK running mate Nicole Shanahan’s story. https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2024/08/the-rfk-factor.php
  4. Scott Jennings Stuns Other CNN Hosts: ‘Democrats Have Controlled White House for 12 of Last 16 Years But Everything is Trump’s Fault?’ (Video)
  5. Tweedle-Kam and Tweedle-Tim By J.B. Shurk The more I see of Tim Walz, the more I realize he’s just a fatter, whiter version of Kamala. They both laugh at inappropriate times. They both say weird things. They both yearn for a communist America. They’re both on the wrong side of the IQ bell curve. If we lived in a society that encouraged talented people to run for political office, Tweedle-Kam and Tweedle-Tim would not be known. Because our political system excels at promoting mediocre minds attached to lost souls, the Democrat Party gives us a babbling baboon and a cackling hyena for veep and president. I thought Tweedle-Kam had a monopoly on obnoxious laughing, but I was wrong. Every time a camera pans over to Tweedle-Tim, his head is thrown back in a chortling fit. Every subject seems so funny. Food and fuel costs are a nightmare, Tim. Ha-ha-ha! Foreign nationals are killing Americans on neighborhood streets. Tee-hee-hee! You misrepresented your military rank and service record. Hey now, that’s not funny! You’re right, coward. None of it is funny at all. It’s increasingly clear that the Tweedle-twins laugh because they have nothing significant to say. Or, rather, anything significant they might say, they can’t admit until after the election. As Nancy Pelosi would tell us, you have to vote the Tweedle-twins into office before you can find out how they plan to screw over America. Nobody wants to vote for open borders and mass amnesty for foreigners. Nobody wants to vote for more spending and inflation. Nobody wants to vote for social credit scores and expanded government regulation. Because the Tweedle-twins can’t say what they want, they must laugh during all the awkward silence. It’s just weird. But Democrats are the party of weird. https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2024/08/tweedle_kam_and_tweedle_tim.html
  6. Nielsen: DNC Television Ratings Crash 22% from 2016. The television ratings of the first night of the Democratic National Convention (DNC) sunk 22 percent from 2016, according to Nielsen. The ratings crash suggests that Vice President Kamala Harris is far less popular than the media purported. https://www.axios.com/2024/08/20/dnc-ratings-monday-biden-harris

  8. At first it makes little sense, Kennedy endorsing Trump. They have many, many policy differences, as well as personal differences I am sure. BUT, they both recognize that the entrenched government threatens all of us and MUST be dismantled. .
  9. The cliches are coming out. You can't just disagree with their history of lying and divisive policies. It HAS to be racism.
  10. Kamala Spends Day Two of the Democratic National Convention Going In Circles Duane Patterson As a Republican, I feel like after watching the last few speeches from Chicago's United Center Tuesday night, Donald Trump dodged another bullet. Imagine where the polls would be right now if the party elites tossed Kamala Harris aside along with Joe Biden and Michelle Obama were parachuted in as the party's 2024 nominee. All this alleged falling in love with Kamala Harris? If the idea of Michelle Obama as the nominee were remotely possible, the delegates would jump ship in a New York second and you'd really see what a lovefest looks like. Fortunately for us, the Democrats still are saddled with Comrade Kamala and Tim Tse-Walz, who spent the evening in Wisconsin at a rally two hours up the road from the convention in Chicago, a curious move to say the least. https://hotair.com/generalissimo/2024/08/21/kamala-spends-day-two-of-the-democratic-national-convention-going-in-circles-n3793445
