  1. The Left’s Attack on the Secret Ballot and on Same Day voting. STEVEN CALABRESI Using the the Covid pandemic as an excuse, the Left in 2020 massively changed the way presidential elections are held in this country. Whereas previously the secret ballot and same day voting was the norm, and one needed an excuse to get an absentee ballot, suddenly the Left declared it was essential to switch to mail in voting, for any reason at all, over a period of many weeks. Swarms of Democratic vote canvassers knocked on the doors of thousands of people who had not yet voted "by mail" and offered to "help" them "make their vote count". Ballots were filled in by voters at home. possibly with canvassers or family members, "observing" how each person voted. Canvassers then "offered" to deliver the "harvested ballots" to "drop boxes" saving voters the trouble of turning them in themselves. The net result was that Donald Trump got more votes in Pennsylvania in 2020 than Barack Obama had in either 2008 or in 2012, but he still fell 80,555 votes short of Joe Biden because "mail-in" voting with no secret ballot and canvassers conveying your ballot for you to the polls or a drop box was such a hit. I do not myself believe that there was fraud in the counting of ballots or voting machine malfunctions. I do believe, however, that the unprecedented use of mail in voting over a period of many weeks, with the loss of the secret ballot, and drop boxes, produced a fundamentally illegitimate Biden victory in 2020 in Pennsylvania and elsewhere. I simply do not believe that in an honestly held traditionally run presidential election that Joe Biden would get 181,866 more votes for President in 2020 in Pennsylvania than Barack Obama got in 2008. As a result, many Republicans, myself included, thought that the 2020 presidential election was probably stolen, even though that fact could not be proved in a court of law. President Trump himself did not claim right after the election that mail in voting and the loss of the secret ballot had altered the vote count in the 2020 election. https://reason.com/volokh/2024/06/08/the-lefts-attack-on-the-secret-ballot-and-on-same-day-voting/ .
  2. The Myth That Biden Had Nothing to Do With the Prosecutions of Trump by Victor Davis Hanson The five criminal and civil prosecutions of former President Donald Trump all prompt heated denials from Democrats that President Joe Biden and Democrat operatives had a role in any of them. But Biden has long let it be known that he was frustrated with his own Department of Justice's federal prosecutors for their tardiness in indicting Trump. Biden was upset because any delay might mean that his rival Trump would not be in federal court during the 2024 election cycle. And that would mean he could not be tagged as a "convicted felon" by the November election while being kept off the campaign trail. Politico has long prided itself on its supposed insider knowledge of the workings of the Biden administration. Note that it was reported earlier this February that a frustrated Joe Biden "has grumbled to aides and advisers that had (Attorney General Merrick) Garland moved sooner in his investigation into former President Donald Trump's election interference, a trial may already be underway or even have concluded..." If there was any doubt about the Biden administration's effort to force Trump into court before November, Politico further dispelled it -- even as it blamed Trump for Biden's anger at Garland: "That trial still could take place before the election and much of the delay is owed not to Garland but to deliberate resistance put up by the former president and his team." https://townhall.com/columnists/victordavishanson/2024/06/07/the-myth-that-biden-had-nothing-to-do-with-the-prosecutions-of-trump-n2640130
  3. Trump $12 Million Silicon Valley Donor Haul Has MSNBC Surprised ... and Dems Worried by Ward Clark RedState has written about former President Donald Trump's sudden fundraising success, which has taken off following his conviction in the Manhattan trial. On Thursday, an MSNBC panel speculated about it, talking in part about it happening in Silicon Valley. The panel pointed out the early post-verdict fundraising numbers, including a major donation almost immediately on the heels of the conviction. But what's really great about the MSNBC speculation is the claim that President Biden was "too quiet for too long." That's rich, when one considers the recent history of President Biden saying, well, anything. https://redstate.com/wardclark/2024/06/07/trump-rakes-in-heaps-of-silicon-valley-donations-endorsements-n2175189 .

  5. Amber Rose response to Reporter asking her why she would endorsed Trump when she is all about women’s right issues, Trump’s conviction and why a lot of celebrities will be voting for Trump now: “Is Donald not about women’s issues. He tried to make America Great again that’s for women too right… People see the injustice and what happened and they want to vote for him more than ever… We just did our research… we’re not brainwashed anymore by the left…”
  6. Another week, another wave of fake Justice Thomas smears. Just like clockwork. They are so scared o the Supreme Court stopping their "revolution"
  7. Justice Alito Neighbor at Center of Upside Down Flag Dispute Tells on Herself in CNN Interview We are quickly approaching the one-month anniversary of the New York Times upside-down flag hit piece against Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito, and not surprisingly, the MSM is still trying to milk this non-story for all they think it is worth. As we reported, a series of Times articles on the Alitos' flag-flying activity have sought to call the impartiality (and credibility) of Justice Alito into question. In their view, due to the alleged Jan. 6th symbolism of the flags in question (including the "Appeal to Heaven" flag once flown at their beach house), Alito's wife, Martha-Ann - who the Justice describes as a flag aficionado - is sympathetic to the beliefs of the Capitol rioters. As such, the Times and their experts assert that her alleged beliefs have compromised Justice Alito's ability to impartially judge cases related to Jan. 6 and the 2020 presidential election. {snip} Plus, it's been over three years since this dispute, and presumably, the Badens have gone on about their lives during that timeframe free from any threats or intimidation tactics - because surely we'd have heard if they had run into any issues way before this point, right? I think we've figured out the inconsistent person in this story, and it's not Justice Alito. https://redstate.com/sister-toldjah/2024/06/07/alito-neighbor-in-upside-down-flag-dispute-approaches-15th-minute-of-fame-territory-in-new-interview-n2175163
  8. NO ONE is surprised. MATT TAIBBI: Twitter Files: Is it Okay to Lie About Trump Supporters? Brandon Straka was smeared as a Russian proxy after founding a movement to “#WalkAway” from the Democratic Party. Internal Twitter documents suggest he and his followers were set up. https://www.racket.news/p/nation-of-bullies?
  9. DO THE LETTERS “F O” MEAN ANYTHING TO YOU? Admiral McRaven to American people: “You need to shut up (except for me, of course).” “McRaven claims that those who criticize government institutions “undermine America.” “Undermining America” is a serious charge. And when it comes from a four-star admiral who commanded the entire United States Special Operations Command, you can bet that it carries some clout among those who are wielding power. For these reasons, McRaven’s comments merit close scrutiny.” Our entire ruling class has been peddling variations on this for the past 5 years or so, at the same time they were gleefully screwing up — dare I say undermining? — America in so many ways. They should be begging for forgiveness, or maybe a pardon, rather than issuing arrogant diktats. Plus, from John Lucas: “There are countries that do not tolerate speech critical of the government and its institutions. There are countries where citizens who publicly disagree with the actions of the government and its institutions are condemned as disloyal citizens, investigated and tried. There are countries where people with political views that differ from those of the governing authorities are subject to governmental abuse and ruin just because of their political opinions. We have a name for these countries. They are totalitarian.” https://johnalucas6.substack.com/p/admiral-mcraven-to-american-people .
  10. THAT’S ANOTHER 50,000 STATE JOBS: Argentina’s Milei To Cut 50,000 State Jobs Amid Legislative Challenges. This latest round of cuts follows a March announcement in which Milei proposed slashing 70,000 jobs from Argentina’s public sector work force, which employs approximately 3.5 million people. According to Infobae, 25,000 positions have been cut since March’s announcement. As a result, public employees rejected the measure and some of the largest unions in the country have called for protests. “We knew that the program was going to generate social tension. Bringing the number of ministries to half was not free,” the president said during his speech at the Latam Economic Forum in Buenos Aires. Since taking office six months ago, Milei has pledged to fix Argentina’s severe economic issues, including an inflation rate that has surged to a three-decade high of over 250 percent and a poverty rate impacting 57 percent of the population. To end the crisis, Milei has slashed state subsidies, devalued the currency, and closed several state agencies. https://reason.com/2024/06/06/argentinas-milei-to-cut-50000-state-jobs-amid-legislative-challenges/
