  3. Back to the thread. Dr. Fauci: 'Level of Vitriol' During Hearings Was 'Quite Unfortunate.' Really, Doc? By Ward Clark The chutzpah of this guy! Late on Monday, Dr. Anthony Fauci appeared on CNN's The Source with Kaitlan Collins, to talk about the "level of vitriol" in the Congressional hearings being undertaken by the House of Representatives Oversight Committee's Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic, before whom Dr. Fauci testified on Monday. Dr. Fauci said: I've testified literally hundreds of times over the last forty years in front of Congress and there's always been differences of opinions, differences of ideology, criticisms and things like that. But the level of vitriol that we see now just in the country in general, but just played out during this hearing, was really quite unfortunate, because the purpose of hearings is to try to figure out how we can do better, so that we can, next time, if and when we are faced with a pandemic, we'd be better prepared, and we could benefit if mistakes were made, we could identify them, and we try to correct them for the future. Wow. Just... wow. What a load of steaming, odoriferous output of the digestive process in the male bovine. To sum up, yes, Dr. Fauci testified, and he also tossed some of his staff members under the proverbial bus. We also know that there will likely be little or no accountability for this cluster foul-up, even though some states have grand juries looking into it. But the statement above, with Anthony Fauci complaining of vitriol, that's just a bridge too far. Were I to reply to Dr. Fauci, in that Congressional hearing, on CNN, or anywhere else (and I guess I am, right here) I would say this: Dr. Fauci, what about the level of horse squeeze we endured from you people's panic-mongering for over a year? What about the education of our kids, when between your COVID mandates and the teachers' union's official policy of "we don't want to go back to work" you messed up schooling for months upon months? What about the trillions that were added to the national debt in the name of COVID-19 emergency spending? https://redstate.com/wardclark/2024/06/04/dr-fauci-level-of-vitriol-during-hearings-was-quite-unfortunate-really-doc-n2175033
  4. Thanks for erasing Billsy's response when responding to him. That's how it's done. .
  5. WHOOPS. NEW: Hunter Ex-Wife Testifies He Could Function While Addicted ABC NEWS 12:40 PM | June 05, 2024 In what could be a blow to one of Abbe Lowell's lines of defense, [Kathleen] Buhle said Hunter Biden frequently interacted with friends and family, worked, and socialized while under the influence of crack cocaine -- and would often try to hide it from those close to him. "Did you see him, for lack of a better word, function?" prosecutor Leo Wise asked. "Yes," Buhle confirmed. I'm pretty sure that's already apparent from the millions of dollars Hunter raked into Biden Inc during this same period. Some have questioned whether the prosecution may make the jury more sympathetic by leaning into Hunter's addictions in this way, but they don't have much choice with a charge that relies on establishing that Hunter used drugs when purchasing and possessing a firearm. This testimony will make it clear that Hunter had the capacity to know better and violated the law anyway. I'd still worry about jury sympathies in this case, though. Especially in Delaware. https://abcnews.go.com/US/live-updates/hunter-biden-gun-trial/?id=110723981#110865540
  6. "The state has proven there's no God !" Vermont to Christian Foster Families: Change Your Religion, Or Else ED MORRISSEY Is Vermont still in the United States of America? Or has it joined the Khmer Rouge, the Soviet Union, or other relics of totalitarian regimes that demand "re-education" of citizens with opposing viewpoints for access to government programs? Two fostering families filed a lawsuit this week, as reported yesterday exclusively by Mary Margaret Olohan at the Daily Signal, for violations of their First Amendment right to free religious expression. According to their lawsuit, these two families have a long track record of success in foster placement, especially for babies born from mothers struggling with addictions. Care to guess why Vermont, which faces a foster-placement crisis at the moment, kicked them out of the program? Oh, let's not always see the same hands ... A new lawsuit alleges that Vermont blocked two families from fostering children, despite the state’s foster care system crisis, because the families held traditional, religious views on gender and sexuality. Brian and Kaitlyn Wuoti and Michael and Rebecca Gantt accused the Vermont Department for Children and Families of mandating an “ideological position at the expense of children” in a lawsuit filed Tuesday. Both Brian Wuoti and Michael Gantt are pastors, and both families hold traditional, Christian religious views. Between them, the families have not only established records of success in fostering at-risk children, they have also adopted five of them along the way. And that's a good thing too, as Olohan reports, because Vermont is practically begging for families to open their homes to children in state custody -- especially with the uptick in drug addiction in recent years. It had gotten so bad last year that Vermont government agencies went out and campaigned for more families to enter the program, as they had been forced to leave children in emergency rooms and police stations to live. https://hotair.com/ed-morrissey/2024/06/05/vermont-to-christian-foster-families-change-your-religion-or-else-n3789672
  7. LOL. Wednesday afternoon drunk posting is the best. (and if you are not drunk, how embarrassing for you with your Trump lies rant) .
  8. President Biden landed in France and almost immediately called a lid for press coverage for the day. It is unclear why he did that. Biden arrived in France early Wednesday morning time in America. Perhaps he needed a nap. This isn't just a trip commemorating brave young service members who fought for freedom during WWII. That is all it should be. It is enough. But, no. Joe Biden will turn this trip into a campaign event. He is both desperate and shameless. That is a dangerous combination for a politician clinging to power, hoping to win re-election. Joe Biden promised to have the most transparent administration ever. That turned out to be a bogus promise. His is a very secretive administration and very unfriendly to the press. We can recognize that Trump was highly critical of the press but he spoke with them daily, if his schedule allowed. He stood and answered questions at every opportunity. That is not how Joe Biden governs in the White House. He avoids the press. We've seen how Biden is approaching his re-election campaign. He holds very small events in battleground states. The press is kept as far back as possible. He usually does not take questions. Most of his events are held in Pennsylvania because it is near Delaware and an easy trip from Washington, D.C. Biden has to win Pennsylvania in November to win re-election. {snip} The grand finale, though, is a speech scheduled on Friday about "the importance of defending freedom and democracy" at Pointe du Hoc, a promontory that overlooks Omaha Beach, the site taken by U.S. Rangers on D-Day. Biden's intended audience is American voters back home. There is no doubt in my mind that Biden will use his speech on Friday to talk about the threat to democracy another term for Trump will present. This is a key Democrat talking point in the election. They have little else to run on so they have to scare voters. The irony is that Team Biden is doing what they accuse Trump of wanting to do - destroy democracy, aka, America as we know it. Biden has introduced lawfare into the presidential campaign to keep Trump out of the White House. That can never be forgiven. Biden and his fellow travelers are the true threat to our way of life. https://hotair.com/karen-townsend/2024/06/05/biden-takes-his-campaign-to-france-n3789670 .
  9. JOHN BRENNAN COULD NOT BE REACHED FOR COMMENT Today’s New York Post cover story updates the saga of Hunter Biden’s laptop: “Hunter Biden gun trial jurors shown infamous laptop first exposed by The Post in dramatic courtroom reveal.” Yes, indeed, the Post is entitled to keep taking victory laps over its coverage of the laptop from hell. https://nypost.com/2024/06/04/us-news/hunter-biden-gun-trial-jurors-shown-infamous-laptop-first-exposed-by-the-post-in-dramatic-courtroom-reveal/ Over on the editorial pages, Miranda Devine keeps running. Hunter Biden’s “Laptop from Hell” is government exhibit 16 at the first son’s gun trial in Delaware. The silver MacBook Pro 13, covered in a clear plastic wrapper, was first publicly sighted Tuesday at 2:10 p.m. when it was carried across the court by prosecutor Derek Hines to his first witness, FBI Special Agent Erika Jensen, who confirmed it was Hunter’s laptop from the serial number on the back. Sitting at the bar table, Hunter was inscrutable behind salmon pink reading glasses as the laptop that threatens to put him in jail and politically scorch his father coasted serenely across the room. Three years and eight months since you heard it first in the New York Post, Jensen said that the laptop was obtained by the FBI in 2019 with a subpoena from The Mac Shop in Wilmington where it had been “abandoned” by Hunter. She said that investigators corroborated content on the laptop with Hunter’s iCloud that they obtained from Apple with a subpoena. {snip} John Brennan, Jim Clapper, Mike Hayden, Leon Panetta, and the rest of the Deep State 51 apparently couldn’t be reached for comment. Then-presidential candidate Biden lied to the American people that the laptop was a “Russian plant.” He was lying, but he had the Deep State 51, the Democrats’ media adjunct, and the social media giants in his corner. https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2024/06/john-brennan-could-not-be-reached-for-comment.php
