  1. Biden Was the Fluke in 2020, Not Trump in 2016. By Salena Zito President-elect Donald Trump's win two weeks ago in Pennsylvania was always right in front of you if you were objectively listening to the concerns of the people and the data showing the most important, misread trend of all: The Republican Party had now become the party of work. In interview after interview, waitresses, welders, rank-and-file union members, plumbers, HVAC small-business owners, hairdressers and barbers would tell national news reporters, including me, that they were voting for Trump. No matter how often these voters said this, it often was dismissed as an outlier. Or it was placed in a silo of race, meaning it was only the white working class. The blindness among reporters and Democrats was that they thought it was only white middle-class voters behaving that way, missing that working-class voters of all races were voting shoulder to shoulder. Why? Because these voters are culturally connected to each other through their communities where they live together, their children attend schools together, and they work side by side. Plus, they share other cultural touchstones, such as church attendance, elevated concerns about crime in their neighborhoods, and the economic stress that affects them all. https://hotair.com/salena-zito/2024/11/23/biden-was-the-fluke-in-2020-not-trump-in-2016-n3797268 Middle-class Latino, Black and white voters voted together as a continuum of the working-class realignment in this state that catapulted Trump over Vice President Kamala Harris. This was a direct result of Democrats shedding voters from formerly guaranteed Democratic Party constituencies.
  2. LOL. See @The Frankish Reich
  3. Most people wouldn't post until they knew what they were attempting to say, not our Frankie. Of course, he could claim that this is just another failed attempt at "edginess"
  4. "Insight, untested and unsupported, is an insufficient guarantee of truth". -- Bertrand Russell Meanwhile: Axelrod, Left Panic Over Prospect of 'Competent' Presidential Wingman at DoJ Ed Morrissey How soon they forget! Or pretend to do so, anyway. Yesterday's events proved rather traumatic to the Left. In one fell swoop, Donald Trump managed to strip them of an easy punching bag with Matt Gaetz' removal as Attorney General nominee, and then moved quickly to appoint Pam Bondi instead. Alternate headline: Strange New Respect for Gaetz Breaks Out on Left. It didn't take long for them to realize that their situation just got a lot worse within a few hours, thanks in large part to Republicans keeping their own house clean. Suddenly, competence and ability have become something to fear, as it means that [checks notes] the incoming administration will deliver on the agenda that won them the election. Maybe Democrats are unfamiliar with that concept ...? Because this looks and sounds more like an endorsement rather than a warning. Competent. Can do the job. Experienced. Effective. What more would Democrats demand from a Republican nominee at any position? https://hotair.com/ed-morrissey/2024/11/22/axelrod-left-panic-over-prospect-of-presidential-wingman-at-doj-n3797249 .
  5. Neil DeGrasse Tyson Flunks Science? Ed Morrissey He flunks Scientific American, anyway. Bill Maher put Neil DeGrasse Tyson on the spot last night on his HBO show Real Time, discussing the politicization of science and the populist revolt against the radical progressive Left in the latest election. And the pop scientist can't bring himself to acknowledge that the 170-year-old magazine sold out science years ago for social-engineering quackery and radical politics. The debate begins with Maher blaming the election loss on the disconnect between Democrats and biological reality, using the meltdown by former Scientific American editor in chief Laura Helmuth as an example. Despite Maher's repeated probing, Tyson refuses to acknowledge a biological difference in sports performance and declines to rebut Helmuth's claim that all such differences are due to social bias. In the end, Bill Maher says, "I'm going to file you under part of the problem," and he's right: https://hotair.com/ed-morrissey/2024/11/23/neil-degrasse-tyson-flunks-science-n3797286 Neil DeGrasse Tyson Is an Ignoramus, Part Deux David Strom Ed wrote about Neil deGrasse Tyson's idiotic performance on Bill Maher's show earlier today. (See above) Tyson matters because he is a science "influencer" whose job it is to be an ambassador to the masses for scientists, who are generally not known for being outstanding communicators. Like Bill Nye the Science Guy, he is a fraud, selling not science but The Science™. He is a self-absorbed, politically motivated, profoundly ignorant, and compromised ignoramus. I want to take another shot at Tyson--not just because I despise his pretentiousness, although I admit I enjoy poking at him every chance I get--because he is dangerous. As one of the "experts" who mislead people, he has an outsized impact on public opinion and needs to be taken down about ten pegs. https://hotair.com/david-strom/2024/11/23/neil-degrasse-tyson-is-an-ignoramus-part-deux-n3797294
  6. The Pentagon's DEI Mafia Has Set Their Sights on Saving Themselves From Pete Hegseth Pentagon officials speaking on condition of anonymity are claiming that should Pete Hegseth be confirmed as Secretary of Defense, he will demolish the efforts by the Department of Defense to stamp out sexual assault. According to Politico, "Officials fear that Hegseth, whose nomination had already caused controversy due to his opposition to women serving in combat, could also hurt efforts to recruit women into the military." https://redstate.com/streiff/2024/11/22/the-pentagons-dei-mafia-has-set-their-sights-on-saving-themselves-from-pete-hegseth-n2182373
  7. And now: Trump selects Scott Bessent for Treasury secretary By Kathryn Watson, Olivia Rinaldi Bessent is also openly gay, and he and his husband, former New York City prosecutor John Freeman, have two children. If confirmed, Bessent would be the first Senate-confirmed gay Cabinet member of a Republican administration. Ric Grenell was acting director of national intelligence under Trump, but the Senate never confirmed him. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/donald-trump-expected-to-pick-scott-bessent-treasury-secretary-source/ .
