Democrat Self Reflection Post Landslide? Zero point zero.
B-Man replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Like so many other Dems, she emphasizes the word “chaos.” It was obviously from one of their talking points memos. Their problem is - no one outside of the Swamp sees this “chaos.” All the public sees is a bunch of funding frozen and federal staff laid off with zero impact to daily life. And the longer this goes on, the bigger of a problem it becomes for Democrats. They desperately need the public to buy into CHAOS, but it’s not happening. They’re terrified of the money spigot closing and the accountability spigot opening. Meanwhile, election-deniers are calling this peaceful transfer of power a “coup,” and declaring today a “national day of action” to oppose it. Sounds insurrection-y to me. https://x.com/ITGuy1959/status/1891151367567274451 . -
RABBI MICHAEL BARCLAY: 500 Days We Must Never Forget. “Five-hundred days. Exactly 500 days ago, the world saw some of the most evil and heinous crimes ever perpetrated by humanity. Hamas attacked Israel from Gaza. They didn’t attack military bases or soldiers. Instead, they demonstrated themselves to be the personification of evil as they consciously attacked civilians — specifically the weak, old, female, and sick.” https://pjmedia.com/rabbi-michael-barclay/2025/02/17/500-days-we-must-never-forget-n4937040

Assuming the Democratic Party needs someone to come in and remake it, as Trump did for the Republican Party, who could that person be? I asked Grok, and it set out 4 "key attributes" : "1. Charisma and Media Savvy.... 2. Outsider Status or Unconventional Background.... 3. Clear, Bold Vision.... 4. Connection with the Base...." Grok then came up with 5 individuals who might have the attributes, and I'll put this below , so you can guess before you look — guess, then laugh... or cry: 1. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez 2. Beto O'Rourke 3. Stacey Abrams 4. Gavin Newsom 5. Pete Buttigieg https://althouse.blogspot.com/2025/02/assuming-democratic-party-needs-someone.html#more So they have nobody. Got it.

Judge Rejects Bid to Block DOGE’s Access to Labor, Health, and CFPB Data A judge has upheld DOGE’s authority to access data at three federal agencies. by Kimberly Hayek The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) can continue its de facto audit of certain executive agencies, according to a ruling Friday in the District of Columbia. U.S. District Judge John Bates in Washington on Feb. 14 declined a request by unions and nonprofits for a temporary restraining order (TRO) to prevent the DOGE team from gaining access to records at the Department of Labor, the Department of Health and Human Services, as well as the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. In denying the plaintiffs’ request for a restraining order, the judge noted that the plaintiffs failed to show a substantial likelihood of success on the merits of their claims, which centered on the idea that DOGE’s data access policies were illegal because they were implemented without proper rulemaking or legal authority. https://storage.courtlistener.com/recap/gov.uscourts.dcd.277150/gov.uscourts.dcd.277150.29.0.pdf https://www.theepochtimes.com/us/judge-rejects-union-bid-to-block-doge-access-to-some-federal-agency-data-5810678?

60 Minutes Caught Misleading Viewers Again—Here’s the Real Story Behind the USAID ‘Firing’ Alex Mark Another day, another half-truth from the mainstream media. This time, CBS’s 60 Minutes wants you to believe Kristina Drye was “fired” from USAID during the agency’s chaotic shutdown. But there’s a problem with that narrative—she wasn’t a USAID employee. Not even close. Drye was a speechwriter working for XLA and Jefferson Partners, firms that provided services for USAID Administrator Samantha Power. When Power resigned, Drye’s contract ended. That’s not a firing. That’s what happens when your boss leaves and the job disappears. But CBS didn’t bother telling you that, did they? The USAID shutdown wasn’t some random event—it was part of a larger overhaul led by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) under Elon Musk’s administration. The goal? To clean house. DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility) initiatives were scrapped, propaganda TVs were unplugged, and woke language was purged from government websites. The establishment wasn’t happy, and neither were their media lackeys. Week Four: No Rest for the Grifters American Thinker, by Clarice Feldman FTA This reorganization is absolutely essential. We are 36 trillion dollars in debt. A trillion (if all these zeroes are hard to grasp) is 1000 billion. By last count I saw, in a matter of weeks, DOGE has already eliminated about 60 billion dollars of waste and fraud. As the legacy press doesn’t seem to be giving this the attention it deserves, let me give you a sampling of the cuts and diversions which caught my attention this week. RFK Jr: CONFIRMED Trump 47 HHS Secretary
B-Man replied to BillsFanNC's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Planned Parenthood Appears to Have Scrubbed Instagram Acct. After RFK Jr. Swearing-In. Why? by Ward Clark Curiouser and curiouser - on Thursday, hours after the swearing-in of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as director of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Planned Parenthood apparently scrubbed their institutional Instagram posts. As in, all of them: Planned Parenthood caught the internet’s attention on Thursday after all of its Instagram posts were deleted within hours of Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary RFK Jr.’s swearing in. The organization, in an apparent nod to this move, posted a pair of eyes on a black background on its Instagram story with no explanation. https://redstate.com/wardclark/2025/02/15/planned-parenthood-deleting-instagram-posts-what-are-they-hiding-n2185632 . -

And even if he was, the fact that we are all sinners, doesn’t seem to connect with dolts like homey-lander. He is too busy trying ( and failing) to claim a ‘gotcha’ its all he has. 😀
