  1. One could only hope but after his 4.33 at LSU's pro day I don't think he'll be available.
  2. We lost Woods as an UFA and sadly Sammy has been injury plagued since arriving. How can you call that poor roster building? Personally if none of the top Safeties are on the board I'd have no issues taking Mike Williams to pair with Sammy or ultimately replace him as our #1WR if we can't re-sign Sammy. In terms of Davis, I'm not sure he's worth a top 10 pick but if we traded down to the teens I'd be willing to take him. I'm just worried since his injury not sure how fast he is and playing in the MAC vs the ACC is quite a difference.
  3. NRC was cut by us so he doesn't count in the formula of UFA gained/lost.
  4. The Texans might be up for it. Yet not sure they have the picks to move up unless we take some late ones this year or a conditional 2018 pick.
  5. Sounds like we're looking for another depth CB/ camp body.
  6. Treadwell ran a 4.63 in his forty which would have made him amongst the slowest in the 2015 and 2016 drafts. Mike Williams was a shade over 4.50 which puts him in the Dez Bryant/Michael Thomas speed range. The thing with Williams as he has shown he can break a long one after the catch which to me shows he isn't as slow as some make him out to be because of his inability to get away from tight coverage. http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2016/2/27/11125820/nfl-combine-results-2016-wide-receiver-40-yard-times-will-fuller http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2015/2/21/8079839/2015-nfl-combine-results-40-yard-dash-wide-receiver
  7. Chad be foolish to sign here. As he's already had some law problems here, toss in pressures to live up to his uncle's name and pressure playing for his hometown. I also think he's over hyped as a prospect so rather he go elsewhere.
  8. Solid draft. Fills needs and have some solid prospects to fill the needs. Ideally like to trade down maybe in the mid rounds to acquire an extra pick or two. Maybe in the 5th Round to acquire a lower 5th and a 7th to maybe add a TE.
  9. Mahomes doesn't warrant a top 10 pick, there are questions if he even warrants a 1st Round pick. Davis' injury concerns me as he did no offseason workouts so don't have a timed forty on him and being he played in a lesser conference in college I wonder how "good" he is. Foster might be the best LB in the draft but unsure we need a LB with our top pick as expect us to spent a majority of our time in 4-2-5 defense. I'd prefer taking a top safety (not Peppers) or Mike Williams or OJ Howard or trade down.
  10. There are ZERO scenarios in which I would trade up. Ideally I would love to trade down, perhaps now that Romo is retiring there might be a good chance the Texans will want to move up so would love to trade down with them.
  11. Davis injury worries me as he done no offseason tests. I favor Mike Williams as he plays bigger. His size and red zone/speed numbers remind me a little of Dez Bryant. We got a Pro Bowl talent at WR who'd likely been in a few if he could avoid the injury bug?
  12. Speaking of former Ravens, am shocked we haven't pursued Shareece Wright as he was cut so won't factor in comp formula and starting experience under Frazier.
  13. I'll start with the roasting, I don't feel comfy with Peppers at all. he's a great athlete but too small to be a LB and possibly too small to be a Safety. Being he isn't a great tackler he might be a great nickel CB and KR/PR but don't see him being all that great in the NFL except as a gadget player which is too much to risk on at pick 10 especially with Williams/Davis and Howard all left on the board.
  14. The issue is Sam might not come out after this year as he's still has three years of college eligibility so he could do a Luck/Manning thing and just stay in school to develop his skills.
  15. Until we have "the guy" at QB I say build this roster to be as good as it can be without him. To me it's obvious we need another WR that can either step in and replace Sammy because he's not healthy or no longer here (see leaving after his rookie contract). Williams to me is a Dez Bryant type in that he's not super fast but can be a guy who can win one on one matchups and a true difference maker. I'd take him at 10 so long as one of the top two Safeties is gone. Otherwise I'd consider OJ Howard or a trade down.
  16. Ahh Brand Names memories. Looking back though, it was odd though. I mean we had to fill out a piece of paper of the product we wanted, put it in the box and then have a clerk from behind the counter get the item for us.
  17. Talent wise Shady, Watkins and Dareus are all Pro Bowl caliber players on almost any roster. In terms of return value I think we'd get the most from Watkins due to him being paid the least and a guy you could also re-sign at a cap friendly deal as management can use his missed time as a bargaining chip to pay him less.
  18. He moved down in 2014 when we drafted CuJo as we moved from pick 41 for picks 44 and pick 153 (Cyril Richardson).
  19. Let's not forget the Panthers ran a nickel based defense more than 50% of the time under McDermott. I wouldn't be shocked if did same thing here. I see Micah Hyde playing the Shaq Thompson role as hybrid LB/S and look to draft a S/CB in one of our top 3 picks and the other on a WR and QB.
  20. If Jerry Jones doesn't hit on Zeke and Dak in the draft, Whaley could have easily been named GM of the year last year by adding Lorax, ZBrown and BTate last year.
  21. Or maybe he's trying to let Zach Brown know we have a starting spot open for him if he wants to re-sign here. Yet with Preston being his main supporter to re-signing here it might prove difficult.
