Apparently you don't know "the city" is slang for New York City. I can remember many a time at UB when heard "the city" from co-students in their new yawk or long island accents talk about it ad nauseam.
Or Payton is trying to see if he has the chops to be a QB so he knows what to do this offseason when Brees retires. As I can't see Brees coming back as his arm is shot, he's getting hurt and the Saints window for another title could be closing.
unless they pursue Jacoby Brissett in free agency.
Darnold to Washington makes some sense but then again Snyder might want to make a splash and try and trade up.
The offense they run now is good but you add a running element and you might turn some of those long FGs we saw against Arizona be lesser and realistically easier to make or may lead to a TD here and there but would definitely help us on the field and kill more clock or allow our D to rest more. The struggles we've had in the 3rd quarter on both sides of the ball need to be addressed.
Feliciano injuries are worrisome as he missed time in 2017, 2018 and now 2020 so yes, keep him around but be smart about it, I like Williams a lot, he is a a solid RT.
Butler is a must go IMO, Jefferson has had moments, yet being him only costs us $1.5m off the cap next year I can move on from that. Toss in Murphy is off the books we then have to find a depth DE that can develop either in the mid rounds of the draft or sign an UFA who could produce 5 or more sacks on the season. In terms of the draft I stay put and try to get a top end TE in the 1st or maybe find a G/C as am not sold on Ford and Morse's long term status could be in question. Yet CB and LB could also be possibilities. In UFA I would target Tarik Cohen though as he'd be a speed back we need.
Emergency backup I suppose but I agree, I like Yeldon in there as a receiver out the backfield and he seems to show better speed than what we have out there already. To me rather see him out there instead of Moss TBH.
I'll admit going into this season I envisioned Allen at best a top 10-15 QB and said that he'd likely never be a top 5 guy as didn't expect he'd ever be a better than 62-64% completion guy and maybe get 300 yards ever 3 games or so. Yet he really has improved his play significantly from last year. Though I do think he tried a little too much on Sunday which lead to his interceptions. He does need help in the running game and to me a better TE as to me Knox/Kroft are at best #2 TEs. I'd love for us to draft a kid like Kyle Pitts in the 1st round in 2021 and our offense be even more deadly. Yet the defense needs to middle out aka be middle of the road if we are truly going to make a run at the title the next year or two as giving up 25 plus points a game isn't good enough. Also the offense needs to wake up in the 3rd quarter or at the very least running game keep us moving the chains to get more points on the board.
Last I checked we beat the Dolphins in our only game this season and a better division record than them. I'm not worried about the division until the Dolphins have a better record than us which I don't see happening.
Shaq's playing time in Miami is dwindling aka he's not a full time starter as he's gone from 94% of their defensive snaps in the 1st week to 41% in their Week 9 game, Week 10 stats aren't up yet. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/L/LawsSh00.htm
If Johnson was better he'd be getting more snaps, Espenesa getting hurt didn't help his cause yesterday.
I'm just putting it out there as sometimes people think I'm overly critical, like yesterdays loss I'm much like you as upset but it hasn't made me hate on this team yet in other threads I was critical on Josh but moreso because felt he played bad then hate him as tbh I hated that we lost the game for him after he did bring us back etc.
Did Beane know Star wasn't going to play this season? Also we were linked to DJ Reader before he went to Cincy. Beanes biggest gaffs in free agency to me were Butler, but thankfully he can be cut next year and over paying Klein and not adding depth to our LBs.
