  1. As I understand it, every team in the NFL has to have at least one player on the Pro Bowl team. With Moorman gone, I cannot think of one player who would make it. Any suggestions?
  2. I have to give fans that go to the games a lot of credit. I was a season ticket holder for years. About 3 years ago, mid December I am sitting in the stands. I'm cold, but still there and I am about 10 rows up looking at the players. I realized I wanted to be there more them they did and I was paying and they were being paid. I made a pact that day not to return until I saw evidence of a changes attitude amoung players and coaches. Simply put, that has not happened. We have seen the same misdirected, unpassionate team ever since. We have changes coaches, players, GM's and still the same thing. I have heard it all. It't the players, its the coaches, its the refs, its the Patriot's cheating, its the league front office becuase we are a small city team. The reality of it is, is that this team (and the teams of years past) have found ways to lose football games. Yesterday was just another prime example. They are up, at home against a very medicore team. 90% of other teams would put that game away. We have a holding call that takes away a critical first down, then an interception (the worse possible thing that could happen) and then a defense breakdown. Bottom line is someone has to pay for this, if for nothing else then to show the remaider of the coaches and team that this is unacceptable. The fan base and people making personnel decisions have been too nice for too long. Why is it that coaches on good teams get in a ref's grill when a bad call has been made. Has anyone since Marv Levy did that for the Bills. The answer is simple and readily apparent. There is a lack of passion on this team and there has been for the last decade plus. This lack of passion starts with Mr. Wilson and flows all the way down to the long snapper. This is a bad team with a bad culture. There are some bright spots, but they are few and far between. So firing Wanny does not mean that he will be replaced by someone better, or that there is someone better that will come it. It simply is a message to the remainder of the team that this is simply unacceptable. Its a message that no one is safe, and that its a privelege to have this job and those who are fortunate enought must play with passion. Its a high paying job and i believe they deserve the money for the pain their bodies experience and the dollars they generate, but it does not discount the fact that you have to play with passion.
  3. You could only use the "that's not how I do business" excuse if you are sucessful. If you are unsucessful and say that you look like a fool!
  4. The only way we get a bonafide coaching staff is with new ownership.
  5. OK. Bye week is here. Defense is an absolute waste. There is no reason Wannstedt should not be fired other than finding a replacement. Is that really a good reason? (Keep an absolutely inept person because you can't find another inept person?) Given this, is it any wonder that this team has been the definition of futility over the last decade plus. Ralph, please for the love of God, sell this team to someone capable of running it. I know your ego gets in the way, but please show some mercy. Thanks.
  6. OK. Since the overwhelming majority support canning wanny- it's pretty clear that he will be here for the duration. You see anything we could see this clearly, they can't. Seriously, please move this team Ralph, if you refuse to sell it.
  7. Dear Ralph: If you are not going to sell the team, please move them and spare us more agony.
  8. Well at least we can't blame Ralph this year about the pass rush!
  9. Your right Macaroni - he's the best owner in the NFL! Seriously, he has been abusing the fan base for years.
  10. Where the hell are my fuzzy dice for my wheelchair!
  11. Ya - not looking good. I surmise he is second guessing all the millions he has saved over the years by not spending even near the salary cap. Perhaps he was saving cash for that sporty walker.
  12. Despite the fact that I am a glass half empty kind of guy- I must say- Congratulations to RW and the Buffalo Bills. Great job!! This is the kind of thing this franchise has need for nearly a decade. This is how you sell tickets. Whether the move turns out to be good or bad- it was the right move for this franchise at this time. My only hope is that RW continues to realize that he has the best fans in the world here in WNY and continues to invest in this franchise.
  13. Ralph must be out of the country and out of contact. When he finds out that his folks are trying to spend money- heads will roll.
  14. Ok. I have had a chance to calm down after watching SJ screw his teammates and fans by his very selfish act. Watching bowl games last night, I was taken back by how they young men in college were able to control themselves in the biggest games, and potentially last games of their lives. I did not see one show boating call all day. Makes you wonder who the pro. Unlike many, I agree with what Chan did in this particular case. This does not mean that I think Chan is a good coach, just that I agree with him here. Had this been a playoff game- or a game with any meaning whatsoever, it may have been different. It was just an end of the season game with nothing on the line at all- we are certainly use to those. With that being said, my original opinion was screw this guy-let him go. I am still for that if we could use the money to bring in big name free agents. Given the history- this is not the case. We will be well below the salary cap next year and will stay that way, until Ralph Wilson a.k.a Kim Yung Il meets his maker and we get new ownership that actually realizes the bottom line can be increased with wins. Spending money can make money. Hey- what do I know, Ralph is the billionaire and I'm just a working schelck. So I would have no problem bringing SJ back with the understanding that if he is called for an excessive celebration check in the future, his game check would be forfieted. Thoughts?
  15. Ralph must go in order for this team to become viable. If its in Buffalo so be it, if not then so be it. I would rather have them leave for greener pastures then be made to look like an idiot for caring for this sub-par excuse for an NFL franchise. I am over blaming the players. This fish rots from the head down. An owner who refuses to spend the necessary funds to compete with other franchises. We have no real gm, no real coaches, and no real attempt to get free agents necessary to be competitive. We are the laughing stock of the NFL and given my choice between that and no team- I will take no team. I urge the worriers who think this team is going to leave to pull our a map and look. Where exactly is this team going to go- LA- nope, Toronto- nope, San Antonio _do you think Dallas and Houston would agree to that? Western New York has supported this team well beyond what they deserve. If they think they could find a more loyal fan base somewhere else- go for it. Ralph- please do the right thing, I would rather see you leave on your own as a statesman and pioneer than wait for you to pass, so a judge could oversee the sale of your baby.
  16. Wouldn't it be nice if: Once, just once, we saw a coach, general manager or owner blow their stacks at the players, coaches, referees or league after a game. This team is loaded with players who are not playmakers, coaches who are underachievers and management that is sub par. Don't you think that someone loosing their cool will result is the team getting fired up and getting some respect for the league. Right now this team is like a bunch of little girls who simply get no respect. Please show some emotion. What is the league going to do- penalize you? fine you? Have some self respect.
  17. Fraud: a deception deliberately practiced in order to secure unfair o unlawful gain. The Giants are not a fraud. I don't recall hearing one of them say that they are better than their record. To the contrary they say that they need to get better and reduce mistakes. This is what I believe the Bills are saying to themselves, that they are 4-1 but they need to get better. When they say that and believe that they can will, they will win. The best thing this team could do is shut out the media and the fans statements of grander and get better and believe in themselves. So far it looks like they are. They should not be full of themselves and if the coaching staff gets that impression I could think of 10 games over the last 3 years they could view on tape to humble them.
  18. I am a Bills fan and have been my whole life. The reality of the situation is that for the last 10 years or so, the Bills have no track record of winning. They have not established during this time that they are winners. Until they do so consistently, one cannot make a bold statement that any other team cannot beat them. This does not mean that we do not like the Bills, it is merely the truth. Until such time as this team can consistently win on the road and at home, every week will be interesting. This team like the team several years ago can rip off 5 losses as quick as 5 wins. Don't get me wrong I like what I see in the coach and the team, but winning is the only thing that can cure a decade of being irrelevant in this league.
  19. The Bills still need to prove themselves. The lost for way to long to be taken seriously by the rest of the league by simply winning 3 of 4. They need to show that after a loss they can regroup and go 3 and 1 in the next 4 games.
