  1. You are probably right VADC, but he certainly earned the right
  2. You can't hold the level of his competition against him. He did everything they asked him to do- plus. He earned a chance to run with the 1st team defense.
  3. I just hope Marrone is not gonna be scared to give the kid a chance
  4. Well, if it's truly an open competition, let him have a run or two with the 1st team def
  5. I was at the scrimmage last monday- he did the same thing- lit it up- he even ran one series against the 1st team def.
  6. Everytime I say it, I get criticized but I will do it again. When will people realize that this guy will do nothing but embarass himself and this team. "why so serious", "Happy New Years", dont work out in off season, bomb Boston and now this. Seriously. Past behavior is always the biggest indicator of future behavior. Let's be done with this guy. If he was a ferious competitior it would be another thing, but those folks would never get penalized for wearing a stupid "why so serious" shirt. Hey Jerk- your team has not been in the playoffs for over a decade- it is serious.
  7. Best wishes to Jim and his family. He is a true ambassador of this town and a gentleman. GOOD LUCK JIMBO- fight hard, we are behind you!
  8. Not a chance- it's Doug- trust me I know.
  9. As many of you know, I am Mr. Negative. I didn't like Marrone as I though it was a marketing plan to get Syracuse ticket buyers. I thought they would take Nassib for the same reason. Well, I am here to eat crow. I have not been this excited about this team in a long time. Marrone looks like he knows what he is doing. They have a plan and they are executing it. Some of these players may not pan out (a good draft produces 3 starters), but I am very confident in the decisions that were made at OBD for this draft. E.J will be a star in this league. I just watched 15 mins of video on Woods- this guy is polished. Still not playoff material, but if these guys work out- watch out NFL in 3 years. Speed, speed and more speed!! I haven't said this in a while-- GO BILLS
  10. "How do they get their names on the shirt so quick?" "So when they get to the third round, their names are not on the shirt?"
  11. Hey, my only point is that this is a team sport, and Stevie "why so serious, happy new year, i dont work out" Johnson has consistently put himself before the team. This team rewarded him with a large contract, when frankly, his behavior would have made it difficult for him to find a job in this league. Talent or no talent, good teams would not have put up with his on field antics. Could you imagine what a guy like Coher, Parcells, Shanahan, Coughlin, either Harbaugh, would have done to this knucklehead if he had pulled that crap. Now, he got his money, and with that comes being a team leader. A team leader does not make foolish statement (and before anyone gets all wound up- I agree it was a feeble attempt at humor) when the team is in a constant state of rebuilding. FOLKS lets be honest, this team sucks and has for the last decade plus. That should be his mindset, not offending oppents who have beaten us like bad kids and sent us to bed with no supper. Do you know how stupid this behavior is outside of Buffalo fans. And yes, I agree that he is only one player, but he is the team leader and reflects the team mentality. So yes, I stick by my statement, that this team will never be better than a .500 team with this guy on it.
  12. Hey here's an idea, put the phone down stevie and go to the gym.
  13. "Why so serious" "Happy New Years" why work out in the off season. making fun of war and bombing an American city. This is all fun and funny if you are winning. But Stevie you have proven to be a mediocre reciever an on a very poor team. How bout positng something that is not controversial and good for the team. How bout being a leader (you are certainly overcompensated for it). It will be interesting to see if Marrone actually has the testicals to deal with this jackass. Again, as long as this guy is on the team they will be under .500. And btw the tweet is a subtle admission that you (Stevie) feel that this team cannot beat the Pats- what a funny boy- "why so serious", because year after year we support this team and the team fails to deliver. So yes, you should be serious and you should understand that if you were on most other teams your behavior would not be tolerated. Seriously, what a loser this guy is.
  14. One of the most underutilized positions over the last 10 years in buffalo. Winners consistently have good tightends- Can't possibly hurt if the price is right!
  15. If Geno is there at 8 they should take him. If not E.J. Manual in the second. I really think this kid could be the best qb to come out of this draft.
  16. Baltimore rolled the dice by not giving him a long term deal last year. They lost the bet and now they must pay. He is a super bowl winning quarterback and did it in MVP style. I think he is worth close to that. He produced, you rolled the dice, now pay the man. BTW- Stevie - i could work harder- johnson contract was nearly 37 million for 5 years with close to 20 million guaranteed. Given that he has never been to a playoff game and is not a quarterback - I think Flaco is a bargain at that price!
  17. Maybe he met what he said and does what he says. If that's the case do you really see him as a team player. This franchise accepts this type of behavior from the top down. That culture needs to change and yes - it may get worse before it gets better. Do you think the leaders in New England, Baltimore, Atlanta, or any other good team would stand for this guys behavior. He is not a great receiver - and I agree he is the best we got. But his attitude is a detriment to this team. Look at his behavior last year, and now his stupidity in this interview. This behavior would not be tolerated by a true contender. So if everyone is happy where we are, then we should keep him. If we want to be a winner- we need to start acting like winners from the top down and yes, sometimes the decisions that have to be made are difficult and will cause steps back.
  18. Settle for none hard work mediocraty and that's exactly what you will get. I wonder how many teams he would be a "number 1" receiver on and I wonder how many playoff teams would keep this guy around. "why so serious" "happy new year".
  19. Seriously. This guy has some real issues. Is it any wonder why this team is the laughingstock of the NFL. CUT THIS GUY. Trust me he is not that good.
  20. Look at the up side- one less good awful, poorly coached, uninspired game we have to sit though at the Ralph!
  21. I am reading the news out of OBD and I really don't understand what has changed in the front office. Russ' move really just confirms what was widely speculated. That is that RW's health or mental condtion left him in a position where he could no longer run an NFL team. RB appears to be doing nothing more than he was doing- except that he has a new title. It appears that he will have full authroity but he still reports to RW. RW ownes this team and he can fire RB at any point for any reason. So really what has changed. As far a coaching is concerned, I will reserve judgment until we have a coach. CBS Sportsline reports that Whisenhunt could be cheap as his contract is guaranteed. That means that the Cards will be responsible for paying him over 5 million for next season so the Bill's could get him cheap. I am not sure how accurate that is, but it certainly seems consistent with the Bills' history on paying coaches. There is a lot of talk (again) about getting the right man for the job. We heard the same things for Chan, Mike, Dick, and Greg ect. Is Whisenhunt really the best man for the job? He is 45-51 overall as a head coach. His only winning seasons came when he had a HOF quarterback (Kurt Warner), Without Warner he had two 5 win seasons and on .500 season. So I'm not so sure he is the established guy we are looking for. Lovie Smith is 81-63 over all and Reid is 130 -93 overall. They have more divsion titles, more wins, more games played and a better winning percentage. Both come from cities that must produce and have handled the pressure well. Thoughts.
  22. Dude- I appreciate the optimism but this team could not represent its ass on a toliet seat- let alone the afc in the playoffs!
