Coaches get plenty of personal time, just not so much during the season.
Don't let them fool you. The "I work 22 hours a day and sleep in my office" bit might be true here and there. But there's as much legend as there is reality in that.
It's a gig where you make tens of millions of dollars, make your own schedule, staff members wait on on you hand and foot, and you go to work in sweatpants and a hoodie and spend all night eating pizza and watching ball with the boys.
Staying so late in the office during the season is as much about making a point about how hard they work as it is actually productive.
If I'm wrong how come kids who play Madden are better at managing the clock than some of these NFL coaches?
