It feels like, aside from Tucker, kickers are somewhat erratic. Just pick one and roll with him IF he's proven capable in the past, because you could end up with a headcase who starts to miss everything. Bass has proven in the past to be solid.

It seems like every epic, superhuman effort by Allen to put this team on his shoulders and will them to a win is ruined by McDermott's blunders on defense or game management That's why "this one is a true classic!" always equals a Bills loss
-
Not what I want to see, but IMO he's the "break glass in case of emergency" option for the rest of this year once McDermott totally loses the locker room, which seems close. If not, good, but it isn't going to be Brady, who just went from QB coach to OC 2 weeks ago and still needs to do that job. Because Brady just became interim OC, ANY interim HC would be on the defensive side, and only Frazier has any real experience to do that. Well-respected league-wide. Sweater vest. Experienced. Well-rested now (seriously with that story...). Scapegoated for McDermott's blunders like so many other before him. If you tell me the man goes to church every Sunday I'll say he should start moving boxes into Sean's office the minute a KC or Dallas loss goes final.

Josh Allen is the most physically gifted QB in the league, and has a chance to go down as the best Bills QB of all time. BUT he is going to have to at least play in a Super Bowl or two. That's why Rivers is not seen as on the level of Eli and Big Ben, even though he was just as good. Never got to the big dance, because he kept horrible coaches employed by winning just enough that they "couldn't fire a winner"
-
I came to post this same thing. It's either that or enjoy the defensive version of Norv Turner for the next 7-10 years. "Can't fire the guy with a winning record!"

Bryce Young looks like a kid playing in the NFL. He's freaking tiny. Even his arms and legs are like toothpicks. Jalen Hurts can squat 1700 pounds, as we're often told (and it might be 1800 this week) and at least looks built. Tua also has added some mass so that he's not made of balsa wood. Bryce Young is a tiny guy with minimal arm strength who looks like he will break if a DT hits him. I don't get what anyone saw in him.

Sal started his show recounting how the defense has failed to make a stop to close out games in multiple losses this year, and said it was a pattern the past couple of years now. McDermott is toast.

Do you wonder if the league is fixed?

If it is then the NFL script writers are sadistic when it comes to the Bills -
Can we have a conversation about Diggs?
TheFunPolice replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
I love Diggs and his passion. He's an elite player and a professional, so he's going to compete, but I think he's had it with this coaching staff/team and wants out. -
There's no way to know, but what would Jauron's record be with this roster? He went 7-9 practically every year with zero QB and a pretty pitiful roster. My guess? He would do a little worse than McDermott, maybe 10-11 wins each year but not much different. If that sounds crazy just imagine Josh Allen over Losman or trent equals 3 wins a season.

I'm torn on this SNF game On one hand watching Staley rip another win from the Chargers and then flip out on reporters post game would be good comedy On the other hand getting Baltimore another loss and possibly prolonging the Staley era is good for us

Just wait until tomorrow. He's going all out to defend McDermott tomorrow, you know it.

Who should coach this team in 2024?
TheFunPolice replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Burrow out for the season. Rodgers going out ruins the Jets season. Watson out for the season. Browns done. Staley ruining another Chargers season. This should be an open lane to the playoffs. It won't get easier next year. -

I wouldn't be surprised if that's how he feels given his past issues with the team -

He is here because he has to be at this point. Whatever happened last off-season was nasty but he is stuck. I doubt a season like this will make him feel differently this off season. It's only going to get worse. -

TheFunPolice replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall
Unless McDermott was lying Frazier is still employed by the team and we know he wants to be a HC again. Plus after what was at the time the latest McDermott special gut wrenching loss to Denver suddenly there's a Leslie Frazier article out there. Timing is never coincidental. -

I'm telling you now. IF (and it won't happen) McDermott gets fired mid season Leslie Frazier will finish the year as interim. Brady has been OC for 5 minutes and there's nobody else. Him emerging a couple weeks ago to say how amazing everyone is at OBD wasn't a coincidence. -

Than Marv Levy? Nobody yet. If McDermott retires today is he a HOF candidate? I think that's an obvious answer. -

Best coach we've ever had? Based on what? We have a guy who in the Hall of Fame and led the team to 4 straight Super Bowls. -

McDermott being back in 24 feels hopeless. They'll burn all their draft capital on defense that never makes a play when it matters -

Sadly we're going to become the Philip Rivers Chargers. Allen will keep McDermott employed and suffer for it. McDermott is our Norv Turner -

Not my choice long term but I want McDermott out ASAP. It would have to be Leslie because there would be no HC or DC -

I wonder if Leslie Frazier is feeling refreshed enough to become interim HC -
We are wasting Josh Allen's career. McDermott needs to go. Hire an offensive minded HC so that we're not constantly changing systems every time we have a great season.
