I don't buy into the ref thing. Plus, what happens when you win? Was it rigged for you then? Nah, we left plays out there on the field against a team that is going for its 4th SB win in the last 6 SBs.

Love the player, but these kinds of blockbuster trades almost never work out for the team getting the player. You have to give up so much and all it takes is an injury and you're screwed. I'd rather find someone in FA and hit on DL in the draft unless the price was reasonable, which, why would it be?

I was so happy to see Allen win! Between his speech, just seeing him so happy, and the Oshei Childrens Hospital congrats video I definitely teared up quite a bit. Such a deserving player and person. You could just see from Deion's reaction how much the guy is loved. WHEN this team wins it all it is going to be incredible! I've never wanted the SB for a group of players and coaches as much as I want to see these guys and especially this QB get there and win.

Hopefully that division will make it harder for KC to get that #1 seed Chip had a decent start in Philly though, didn't he? Things went downhill when he tried a power play

Their job is to tank the season and deliver Arch Manning to the Cowboys and the new coaching staff next spring. It's crazy really... Losing a few meaningless September games that make the difference between 3-14 or 5-12 could mean 15+ years of being a top team. Assuming of course the QB is good.

If you're a Ravens fan it's a good thing this wasn't the year you broke through. We were possibly Lamar patting the ball and softly lobbing it into center field and Andrews dropping a ball and fumbling from this being the story of Super Bowl week.

With everyone crammed in so tight and everything happening so fast would the D notice if Allen ran up, lined up under guard, did the cadence and they quick snapped it directly to Cook who would run wide to the right side while Allen QB sneaked to the left but without the ball?

Tomlin went to 2 Super Bowls with Big Ben and won 1. So "Tomlin with a QB" equals 2 SB berths when the AFC has 2 Pat Mahomes to deal with in Brady and Manning. Plus the Ravens defense in the playoffs. McDermott has made the AFC Title Game twice with Allen, winning zero.

I can't think of a single NFL coach with more than 1 year of experience as a HC that wouldn't win 11-12 games with this team as long as Allen is healthy. Having the superstar QB is that impactful. Our defensive scheme is flawed and does not work against great teams. Like hardly ever, unless they royally screw up like the Ravens did. But you need that to happen 2-3 times in a row against the best QBs and teams and coaches in the league.

Nothing is going to change. This is the coach and GM who will get Allen's entire career. It just is. Allen will lead the team to enough wins and playoff berths that "you can't fire those guys!" and "you could do a lot worse..." I remind everyone: Jim Caldwell went 14-2 and took the Colts to a Super Bowl in the AFC when Tom Brady and Big Ben and the Ravens defense were obstacles. they lost (got outcoached by Payton) but they got there and if they recover that onside kick after halftime they almost certainly win. So McDermott will probably get there at some point with this team. And once you're in it you have a chance to win it. Allen will never have a different HC in Buffalo, or a different GM. Beane basically works for McDermott and gets him the undersized defensive players he wants to run his sit back, keep the game in front of you and wait for the offense to make a mistake scheme. It worked against the Ravens because we got lucky. When have you ever seen Lamar just pat the football like he's burping a baby and just lob it nice and soft into centerfield where there's nobody but a Bills DB there for the easiest INT you'll ever see? The guy threw like 4 INT all season. But it worked that day. We need it to work 3-4 times in a row for a playoff run, that's the issue.

McDermott needs to take the CEO role and be the new Pete Carroll. Hire a top DC to install a more aggressive system on defense and totally delegate that. Otherwise, we are going to see small, slow, character guys on defense who play a flawed scheme. that would be fine BTW. Hire a Saleh or someone like that and let that guy run the D. McDermott could be the CEO head coach and lead and set the culture.
