Woof then. He needs to ease up on the 1/15 deep ball type of games then. I'm not a big stats guy, but in all of our losses this year - he was ineffective. I think he honestly needs to run more, and not worry about getting hurt. I know it's not college etc. But you watch some of the more athletic QBs in college, and they do a great job of taking what the defense gives you.

Hey - does a throwaway count as a "bad pass"? I can't tell from the way they present the data. This is all they say: Quarterback Bad Pass Percentage measures the percentage of a quartebacks pass attempts that were considered to be poorly thrown (otherwise known as un-catchable) and leads to an incompleted pass. Part of the reason I ask is that he throws it away WAY too much while trying to find people. He needs to use his legs more and just get positive yards. I hate when he scrambles, has a path towards a possible first down and chucks it 50 yards to hunter only for it to be incomplete. If you have one man to beat for the marker, try and beat him to the marker!

"Experts" Picks week 9 versus the Seahawks
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to CodeMonkey's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I could have seen a victory if Seattle hadn't dropped an NFC game to New Orleans a week ago. Now i just see them more ready to play, no let down. I see them absolutely stacking the box against us and daring us to pass. Tyrod is going to have to play well for us to even have a chance, and i doubt it. On the plus side, their offense has been bad at pretty much everything in the past few weeks. Their line is awful, they don't have dynamic playmakers, and their backs are banged up and not that good. Wilson being hobbled also definitely hinders what they're trying to do. Seattle wins a snoozefest 12-6. -
Wow...talk about being screwed...

I like that they call it that way in college almost every time. They don't blow the whistle, and review every turnover anyway. So if its a pass it doesn't matter, but you don't end up with hoculi situations that cost a team a game. -
Somewhat unfair to evaluate Whaley against what like 6 gms before him failed to do. The drafting strategy needs to include more qbs, specifically the ones you really like. But you can't use one of your top 2 picks on a qb every year. Fact is we never should've drafted ej. We should've traded back, and for picks in 2014. Either we very poorly evaluated him, or Brandon needed something to sell to the fan base. I trend towards the latter

What A Difference A Healthy Shady Makes
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's also hard to win. Against the patriots. A team that wins 12 every year, wins the division every year, and goes to the AFC championship every year. -

Seems like Bill still trades them. He just likes to get something in return when he's going to lose a player anyway. -

I assume their intention is to extend him. They have the payroll to frontload this and have him be the face of their Defense for the next several years. Their top 3 cap hits are haden, thomas, and tramon williams at the end of deals. I assume they cut RG3, McCown or both, and draft someone #1 overall. They drafted several WRs so they should have some depth there. I believe they will try to extend Pryor as well. Crowell and Duke aren't a bad pair of backs. They have 5 of the first 65 picks in the draft, including the likely #1 overall pick. 3 other comp picks in rounds 4/5. And a ton of young people under cheap contracts. Next year is fill out the roster with more talent. The year after that, they probably make some FA splashes to try and make the jump. -
Jeeze How unlucky are we to miss out on Prescott
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Yeezus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This year they really can't. Next year they can split it up between 17/18. It helps when your new QB's cap hit is so absurdly low. -
I'm 50/50. I have wilson in fantasy, and he has been a massive bust. So i assume he'll beat buffalo to pour it on me. Other part of me thinks that offense is just bad, and will have problems with our defense.

Brady is a tough matchup for really anybody. You need a solid front 4 pass rush. Someone to cover Gronk/Bennett. AND corners who can play tight man to man, and recognize their pick plays. And even after all that ... he still probably burns you for 20 plus. And then you have their defense, which is largely healthy and pretty good.

Gilmore needs to go
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to offsides#76FredSmerlas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Blitz more - leave Gilmore in more single coverage by design. Now he'll blame the pass rush for not sacking the QB. Give him safety help, he gets beat underneath. Truly great corner's don't get beat. They just don't. He's mediocre. -

Meeks shaded to the middle - which is what Brady saw to make him throw there. If Meeks doesn't shade to the middle, someone else was probably open anyway. -
OK, let's do this: Tyrod Taylor

If we drop a few games under .500 i'd say time to evaluate cardale. If we're still in the hunt, you have to stick with your guy. -
I could see the argument on Cardale, but that's it.
-
EJ isn't under contract next year, TT might be. Who would you prefer to evaluate? The guy who will absolutely not be on the team? or the guy who might? Also - what from yesterday pushed you over the edge? The fact that we lost to a vastly superior opponent?

Ugh - he sucked yesterday. Probably sucks in general. I don't think there's really much to talk about from that game. We knew we were going to get smoked. Then we got smoked. Honestly though, he needs to run more. They lost contain on him a few times and he chucked it down the field when he easily couldve taken 10-15 yards. Those 10-15 yard scrambles frustrate coordinators, force them to account for it more, and open things up a bit more. The option play though - what were we thinking snapping that. they overloaded the right side... even I could see the bills were going to do that option again. So you HAVE to give it to the up back there, or you don't snap it at all. -
My wife and her family are all also patriots fans. It's rough. They just expect to beat everyone. And are cocky as though they're like... on the team or something. MAKES ME SO MAD!!

Pats game day experience....terrible
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I just don't get it... I get that alcohol is obviously involved. But I just don't get why people can't just get along and be polite. I drink a bunch before the game, but I'm not there to start a fist fight. Just enjoying beers with friends and family and making some good food. -
Corey Graham Post Game Interview
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Fadingpain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they call a play, and someone messes it up, it's the coaches... we were gonna lose this game. The patriots are the best team in the league, we have injuries... and we aren't that good. It's not Tyrol, it's not the injuries, they're just a lot Better than us
