I just don't get why people like Quick over a Holmes/Streater. What has he done that they didn't do? If he was good - they wouldn't have spent 34 million on Bob Woods. Right now it looks like Jones is taking over the Woods spot of #2, probably moving over to the slot in 3 WR formations. I don't think he's an upgrade there, but Woods always seemed to have a sore something... and he fell over a lot. Holmes is #3, and Brown is #4. Last year that was goodwin/hunter. Goodwin has speed, but he isn't a red zone threat, and is a poor route runner. He didn't seem to have a good football sense/toughness either. Hunter was added mid-season so it's tough to evaluate him. Streater may provide some depth, and tate probably returns kicks. Watkins needs to healthy, and then we're better than a year ago. 1 Healthy watkins is a big upgrade over the 1/2 watkins we had a year ago.

Buffalo Bills Myths

Isn't it just a matter of faking a cut (which he's good at) and getting the defender on their heels... then taking it either inside or outside? -

Or just.... every bills dolphins game where they throw little passes to landry over and over again. It's not particularly effective but they definitely do it. -

Have you watched a steelers or dolphins game recently? Brown and landry each get like 5 a game.... -
Trapasso: Is Preston Brown Good or Not?

We averaged like 1 ypc on 1st down. Set up our limited QB to fail with the #4/#5 WRs starting. -

Rex's system requires so many checks and changes based on the offense. The 4-3 3-4 wide 9 whatever... it's all football. His defense is fundamentally different in the run fit's and it saps a ton of the aggressiveness of some of your players. 32 yards on 14 carries from our running backs. Gross. And we started Hunter and Goodwin at WR. Was McCoy still hurt? -

Or the pittsburgh one. Dareus was like a shell of himself last year. Hopefully he comes back and brings it. Makes everyone around him better when hes attacking his gap and dragging doubleteams. -

Ragland struggles in man, but was a fine zone defender in college. He has some edge, and hits hard. Attacks run gaps, doesn't get caught up. Better pass rusher than brown too. -

I posted a link earlier in here to the article, but he was incredibly predictable with playcalling. -

I was frustrated with his game-calling on offense. Run-Run-Pass-Punt. http://www.sharpfootballanalysis.com/blog/2015/how-a-rookie-head-coach-derailed-a-rookie-quarterback-then-vanished-with-4-million -

Turnover on this team is staggering.

Lol... seems like he has about as much chance to make the roster as i do. The year off under club rex clearly didn't help him grow/evolve. -

I mean - they might now? They did fire like everyone to start fresh. I think the idea is - stop changing coaches/gms/systems every 2 years. -
Nice Holmes news per Rumblings

I look at it like it was tough circumstances. The Raiders had a lousy O-line and just lousy offense in general in 2014 (holmes last year mostly starting). They replaced james jones with crabtree on a 1yr prove-it deal, and had the 4th overall pick. The top 2 were QBs so you basically get one of the best non-qbs in the entire draft. Would his numbers have improved if they hadn't selected cooper or brought in crabtree? Probably - but they did and they stayed healthy so his snaps went massively down, and he clearly isn't suited for the slot. Assuming he played well on teams that shows to me that they valued his depth. He's still relatively young, and was a UDFA so its a hard road to even making a roster in that situation. Would I like to see more production out of our projected #2/3? Yes. Is he a buy-low possibly high upside kind of guy? Sure. -
Rodak: Mike Tolbert could emerge as #2 RB

and looking at our depth chart - probably the most likely 3rd down back. -

He's the best blocking back in pass protection. Sorry guy - but he's probably going to see the field a bunch this year. And he's a big fall forward style chain mover. I think we can use a guy like that. -
Music in practice?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BuffaloBud420's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Having played touch football at the rose garden with a live DJ blasting music in the background; I can safely say once you are on the field, this has 0 effect on performance. -
Didn't we just cut graham because he wasn't playing to his moderate contract? And Has Levy or Flowers played a full season recently? What about the end of Byrd's tenure here makes you want to bring him back? After signing harvin TWICE to terrible contracts and watching him cash in on IR, I should hope someone with the organization learned something about signing oft-injured veterans...

And its making their product worse and worse. They have 11 channels that i never watch - im switching to fios and i don't have it anymore. Kind of a relief. Unfortunately my fantasy baseball is through ESPN so i have to go there a few times a day. -

I don't think that was the plan. I think the plan was to extend him for less than he got. -

So you're saying keep him for 2.7 million, then let him leave in 2018? -
Rodak: Mike Tolbert could emerge as #2 RB
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here's a few reasons why we did what we did IMO 1 - If you are trying to extend him- Start negotiating at 2.7 mil per year instead of 1.5 per year. You basically have a 0% chance of extending him - so it is a 1 year deal and he walks next year and factors into your comp picks for 2019. 2 - 2.7 million is the 2nd round tender - that makes him the 13th highest paid player on the team by cap space. For a backup running back. 3 - Adrian petersons cap hit this year is 2.25 million... just saying... 4 - A 5th round pick in 2017 isn't bad compensation for a UDFA back we picked up off the scrap heap 2 years ago. If he walked after next season we probably don't even get a 5th comp pick in 2019.
