Culture - Do you believe in it?

totally. He's the most underpaid player in the league. He doesn't care though - endorsements more than cover the difference I'm sure. -
Is McDermott/Bean just Jauron/Levy II?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BADOLBILZ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't see the parallels. They overspent on mediocre free agents, and drafted poorly. They over-committed to mediocre QBs, and didn't draft particularly well. Post-Levy our GM was Russ Brandon. What kind of succession plan is that? -
I'm not married to peterman in any way whatsoever. Draft another one. Don't want to blow our shot because we were set on trent edwards, JP losman, or EJ manuel. The out is decent, I just don't want to use the 10 mil savings to bring in a Tannehill or McCown type. Seems like we're just getting worse.

He was a huge key - But they also had the number 1 defense in scoring, and yardage (and probably any other metric you can find). It's a team game. Still not a great example to use a first team all-pro player. But i think the idea is that you can lose a lynch or watkins or whatever... and still be a good team because of the players and environment around them. The broncos, seahawks, steelers, and packers are a good example of this - Yes the QB is a huge part of this, but only if he's the right QB for the team/system.

Who will be our outside WR?
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to USABuffaloFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Holmes sticks until we can either bring someone along through PS, or if someone becomes available after roster cut downs. I think the comp-pick is too good to pass up. Powell also doesn't factor until his suspension is up - so he could also move up if we still want to move on from Holmes. -
There could be tons of reasons to move him... injury risk, expiring contract and reluctance to use franchise tag, wants too much money, doesn't want to play here, selfish and doesn't care about winning, diva attitude, not a hard worker, clashes with fans, clashes with media, drama etc... I've never met the guy sooooo it's hard to say what impression he left on beanie and McDermott.

These are all marketing moves.

The timing of the trades - right after the cut-off to cancel season tickets - seems to have brandon's fingerprints on it. -
I Feel Bad For Kyle Williams

Watkins and Zay Jones combine numbers
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yeah - but he's a lot cheaper for the next 3 years. -
There's not much left to trade honestly. You want to keep some of the solid vet's around to show the guys how to do it right. Dareus and Glenn contracts make them untradeable. We have like no running backs so i wouldn't trade shady. I like it. At least they got called out for a lazy going through the motions practice. Last year that seemed like the norm.

Watkins and Zay Jones combine numbers

For wide receivers, there are a ton of other factors. Sammy was super strong at the LOS so he was hard to jam, and he had the speed to blow off the top if you chose to play press. He also has really good feet for route running, and comes out of his breaks with speed. His hands/eyes were also incredible as he was able to make plays on not great throws. Zay seems to have really good hands, and you don't catch 150+ passes without having some semblance of route running ability. How he handles press man coverage will be a big learning curve in the NFL. He wasn't a very good route runner, and doesn't come out his breaks with enough speed. That's why he wasn't used a ton over the middle. His hands aren't great, and he honestly wasn't even that good of a deep threat. He had trouble finding the ball in those over the shoulder catches that should be his bread and butter.
