I mean - one of his INTs last week was a dime to cooper that he just booted up in the air. Their run game has also not been as consistent, and with Tyron Smith out they were having all sorts of problems on the left side of the line. The left side guard is the weak link already, a backup left tackle vs an all-pro left tackle is a huge drop off. Collins went out in that game too so pass protection will be an issue unless those guys are healthy. Looks like smart GMs are trying to build strong offensive lines right now - there's just only so many quality guys in the league at those spots. Look how much money Saffold got and he got ripped up in that game. dallas GB Indy NO - even pittsburgh and Carolina. It's not all about pass pro too, teams seem to genuinely want to run the ball - and good linemen allow you to do that.

yeah after patriots week and all that attention im glad we're in the background. Thanksgiving will be the next time i think we're really in the thick of it. Also - didn't realize that they play in NE on sunday before the thanksgiving game. I'm hoping for a letdown game. Hopefully we can rattle Dak as he's been looking strong to start the year.

I think lost in all of this - i don't think there was anything alarming about his play specifically in the NE game. Most teams might wait for a bye week to make a change like this. I think there may have been some kind of confrontation or issue at a meeting/practice for them to just decide to put him on the bench.

What are we missing offensively?

I feel we can occasionally get a little too pass heavy. The empty sets on first downs etc. It seems like it works - we get to the plus-40 and then we get sacked. Then we're behind the sticks and end up punting. -
Rain saturated natural grass, raining at the time of the kick... he had the leg for it too, just tough out there. 4th and a long 4 is tough though, especially with how many drops and just poorly located passes they had all game long. Yeah - sometimes that 2 minute defense is a teams Achilles heel though. They play off, give up tons of free yards and get you in position to have a couple shots inside 25 yards. You make the FG and kick off... you force the 3 and out and its about 2 minutes left and you have the ball at the 40.

There's teams out there that aren't super happy about their WR depth charts. Philly, New Orleans, Oakland come to mind. The nice thing is he's under contract next year too so its sort of an investment in a young player, and less a rental. -
They've invested in receivers.. in the line... running backs.. etc. Not to say that they have all been hits - but that offense is consistently stuck in the mud. Someone has to go in and embrace what he does well or he's doomed to fail.

Remember when he traded tyrod... and his bonus... and his bloated contract... for the 1st pick of the 3rd round? -
He also misses a lot of the sideline ones that tyrod makes... Like 60 of his yards were a te screen pass.

48 yards in rain on natural grass? Not a gimme -

And almost all the guys he drafted were at the senior bowl. I wonder if we end up with Mahomes if he were a senior... -

Yeah - 10 turnovers in 4 games... tied with bengals, and giants... and just ahead of the dolphins and redskins. The rams have 11 but have played 5 games. And its a major reason they are 3-2. -
How the Pats exploited the Bills Special Teams

In that situation - I'd bring the guys in and punt it out of bounds... 4th and 15 or whatever is a long conversion and you're backed up. But if that was 4th and 5 from the 35+? I'm probably saying take that snap and throw it up to johnson past the sticks... its a what 30 yard throw to the outside with 0 coverage - i can make that throw. -
Lets not act like these are all drops or something. Allen has missed him by a mile quite a few times.

Even if that was the play - the snap was basically on the ground. I imagine the teams guys are getting drilled pretty hard this week on what to do in those situations. -
Josh Allen - Accuracy on the Long Ball
Bleeding Bills Blue replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Patriots seemed to play under coverage in man meaning he has to drop it in a bucket and can't throw those deep crossers as bullets. His poor footwork and drifting in the pocket means hes all arm, and drifting is making the throws way more difficult. -
Did dawkins miss some snaps? I thought i saw Nsekhe playing LT which would explain ford playing RT. Olines definitely a work in progress. But we're probably still improved vs. last year... Ducasse, Bodine, Miller, Mills.... Yuck.
