  1. I think they put the chain at the 15 and 5, but spotted the ball at the 14... So they move the marker to the 4
  2. they spotted the ball incorrectly from what i read
  3. At least its in buffalo, in december... the great equalizer. The teams that beat them stopped ingram and forced him to pass. Can he do that in the buffalo wind? I dunno... probably. haha
  4. Yeah - not everyone's built that way... Allen's what 23? He has had the same girlfriend for a while now. I mean - she's a pilates instructor/instagram model so... it isn't like he settled. But you get the idea.
  5. Running an offense.. thats all about running and play action! ?
  6. he "promised" - even so... no extension would hit the books in 2020 anyway, all the new money would be 2021 and beyond. He didn't promise not to hold out if tagged - that much i am certain of. Good corners are important but i think 2 firsts and a 4th is quite a lot of compensation for any non-QB. It's basically like trading for a top 5 pick... and paying him the most at his position because you only got 1 cheap year.
  7. I mean - do you trade ramsey? You're just making a new hole at CB. 25 mil in cap space and the following players are free agents As for biggest holes - they have a ton and even carrying over the freed up space from 2019 - they have 25 million to work with. Fowler - starting De - will get paid Whitworth - Starting LT - Probably retiring Brockers - Starting DT next to donald Littleton - Starting inside linebacker Austin Blythe - Starting Center at the moment Zuerlein - kickers in the NFL are hard to come by and he's got a 50+ leg to boot. They'll likely have to try and flip their... 4 picks into 6 lower picks. I could see them trading woods, weddle, or NRC to try and a- create space and b- get some more picks because they have needs all over the place.
  8. Whaley's gettin that XFL money.
  9. Matt Hasselbeck comes to mind... Walter Jones and Steve Hutchinson... as well as Shaun Alexander to the tune of 1800 yards.
  10. They need to fix the oline - that fixes the offense. They had an elite oline in 2018, lost a couple players and others regressed. They were bullying people in their run game a year ago, and this year it's stuck in the mud. Problem - no draft picks, no money. They have 2/3/4/6/7 in 2020, and 2/3/6/7 in 2021. They paid - Goff, Donald, Gurley, Cooks, Woods, Higbee, Havenstein, and Hekker. They just traded 2 firsts for Ramsey who is a guaranteed holdout - and will fetch you probably 50 cents on the dollar at this point in draft capital (Whoever acquires him doesn't get a cheap year like you did so i would think you're unlikely to get the same back). Extending him doesn't eat into space in 2020 but it will be massive in 2021. You can create space in a few places (Woods, Weddle, base salary reductions) but any extensions, salary bonus deferrals basically result in doubling down on a roster of a non-playoff team with no draft picks. My friend whos a ticket broker thinks that all of this draft investment etc. was done to sell seat licenses to help pay for the stadium and try and get LA fans.
  11. CBS didn't even show replays of buffalo's o-line penalties so i don't really know that they happened tbh. Probably because they thought they tripped them.
  12. Gotta stop the run/screen game to have a shot in this one.
  13. Mercy rules exist in situations - Youth sports, bar league sports, etc - Where you as the player paid a league and refs to play. These guys are making millions of dollars - there's ad revenue at stake - play it out.
  14. Tyron smith has been struggling as of late, not sure if he's hurt or what - but i'm hoping hughes brings it. He's been pressuring QBs all year but i'd like to see him get home a few times.
  15. The chargers didn't figure out anything. They just "made him a QB" and he wasn't ready. He's shown he's more ready this year, better understanding of defenses and game speed. They're basically running a ton of 2 TE stuff - they tend to head towards the sidelines (safe), or cross (man beater), and run a lot of PA. The WRs have a lot of speed for big plays in PA game. If you screw up they can make you pay deep, but they're perfectly content running it down your throat and picking up 3rd and 3's - over and over again. Yeah - Ingram was a huge upgrade over collins. They still have Edwards to hammer you at 6 foot 240. Let's be real here. You have to score a lot to beat this style of team. I hope we have some tricks up our sleeves because its either going to need to be a windy sleet crap game where luck is in play, or we have to put up at least 30 points.
  16. Yeah - containing the TEs with our LBs, tackling well, consistent rush angles. If they do those things, and force LJ to try and beat us down the field in a december game in buffalo- they would have a chance.
  17. From a yardage and points standpoint the Broncos do have a top 10 defense. Penalties and drops really killed drives in the 2nd half. We had a very run oriented attack to this one, and putting yourself behind the sticks tends to get away from that gameplan. Feleciano red zone hold put us at 1st and goal from the 15. This one basically took 4 points off the board. Multiple penalties in the last 2 minutes kind of just - cratered any chance of that drive getting points. Mckenzie hold on a drive in the 2nd half put them at 1st and 20 instead of 2nd and 7 from the denver 40. Hard to say but this probably took points off the board in the 3rd quarter. Ford holding put them at 1st and 20. Right after a nice mckenzie 3rd down conversion we were on the denver 42. 3 big holding penalties that killed drives or took points off the board. I didn't see any of them on instant replay because CBS sucks (the mckenzie one was stupid and blatant) - but either way - gotta be better. Its probably like a 10 point difference in this one. I also think there were a few situations in a normal game i might go for it on 4th - or be more aggressive in Playcalling. But by the 4th quarter i didn't think brandon allen was going to make any plays so, why not just be a bit safe and win it that way.
  18. They really hurt you running, and with TEs. They built their offense around heavier personnel this year after the playoff loss last year to a team basically playing an entire game in dime defense. Ingram the feature back, Edwards the power back. 2 TE's drafted in 2018 are playing a ton and creating mismatches. And you have insane speed and elusiveness on every play coming from the QB. Their WRs are also fast, so they will take shots during the game - but the backs, LJs legs, and the TEs are the ones moving the chains.
  19. Our game was also a fundamental run defense error. Not sure how they addressed it - but the team has seemed to play a bit hungrier and angrier since the cleveland and Philly games. The fact that we don't have a strong screen game didn't help. Super windy day in buffalo and their o-line came in trying to make a statement.
  20. So hard to get them off the field - theyre always in 3rd and makeable. Lots of first downs, lots of TOP... Just going to have to score points and attack. It's in buffalo which is nice - not sure he's played a game in cold, snowy, windy, wet conditions.
  21. Because what you do in the regular season means nothing once you're in the playoffs. Offense is going to have to score points. Neither team has beaten anyone of note but dallas did beat the eagles who absolutely torched us with zone runs? The buffalo run defense is going to get a helping of OZ in this one with one of the best backs in the NFL. They better be ready to make some plays.
  22. Cost us 4 earlier and put us behind the sticks there . And it was a dumb penalty. No reason to do that
  23. Dumb penalty. Drop. Almost pick. Just a normal series once we cross the 50
