  1. It depends how many good things he does. If he makes mistakes but leads a game winning TD drive then I feel to myself that this guy has IT. There has to be continued potential.
  2. *ATTENTION ALL 'LETS BE PATIENT WITH ALLEN FANS'* If he has another meltdown against the Titans, throws picks, misses receivers what are you going to say then? We all expect him to play like he did against the jets, giants right? Or do we expect him to be better yet?
  3. Few years ago Barkley was rumoured to be the No1 pick in the draft, definitely top ten. I think he stayed in college and dropped as a result. Barkley doesn't look as good as Allen and that plays in some.
  4. You would have thought so. It all depends on how McDermott wants to manage the concussion/ development. If he's fine does McDermott want to let him ponder for a couple weeks. If it's close does McDermott air on the side of caution. If he's fine does McDermott believe the best way is for him to play. I don't think it's that people believe Barkley is better per se, I think it's to do with what in the bigger picture develops Allen more. Another two week gap watching and learning and back for the dolphins, or to play straight away and learn by doing. No concussion and there wouldn't be a conversation.
  5. Those rams unis are NASTY. Can't believe I prefer those Seahawks ones over them. Urgh
  6. McDermott 'look after the football josh, take what the defence gives you' Allen
  7. Lots of defenders will want to injure Allen in the heat of battle, let's not be naive about it. Already seen the jets guys cheap shot, burfickt, the patriots guy. Subjective to how dirty these hits are. When I think of Wilson, Rodgers, Brady, Manning when he played, Brees, Mahomes. They all slide.
  8. He's being given the benefit of the doubt at the moment with INTS and FUMBLES, SACKS, DEEP BALL etc which is right.. I think he should be given a certain freedom to develop with this stuff. INTS don't bother me so much. Where I do think he needs to CHANGE is running head first for a first down. TOO MUCH of a risk. Also, you talk of cam Newton. Look how f***** he is now.
  9. Its what every teammate says about every QB. They're not going to say different are they.
  10. But he's set his feet on some of the deep balls he's missed right? I take your point technically but it has to be in his head aswell, TOO many missed to be just a technique thing.
  11. Yeah I think it becomes a mental thing. He did that on one of the Jones targets against the pats and it was behind the receiver and picked.
  12. I admire Allen's courage and character. I think he deserves the benefit of the doubt once. McDermott HAS to have said to him 'slide we need you to stay on the field' But If Allen plays the Titans game and runs head first I just think theres a BIGGER problem that will never go away.
  13. Sure, that's fair. My comment was a little sarcastic yes but Allen's playing in a 'bipolar' way as we know. Good and bad. Perhaps the Pats game has concerned ME more than others.
  14. 'He has to be able to understand and retain the game plan at a very high level and process what he sees quickly. ' Allen wasn't doing this ANYWAY, maybe he'll start to do this now
  15. Didn't the browns play a SERIES with Quinn and a series with Anderson years ago? ??????
  16. Just talking about injuries, gutted when Allen got the concussion but did anyone else think an injury to this guy was just a matter of time? I was worried about an ACL or some s*** when he was getting brought down on the line of scrimmage. Ok so I'm a worrier ??
  17. Something like accuracy would be evident from day one. In the same way than Allen's athleticism would be evident from day one.
