  1. With the talent we have at QB the wishbone might be our best option. I know QBs get hurt easily but I think it's almost worth the risk looking at how bad these guys are. It worked with Kaep for a year with Roman as OC. That's where my hope lies.

  3. Sure he can run. He can run for a couple yards if the picket collapses. But you can't design run plays for him. He can't get to the outside and cut upfield. He's not very elusive. He can run for scrambling. You asked what plays can Taylor run that EJ can't, and now you're saying "I'm not comparing them." Frank Summers could run, you want him to replace McCoy at RB? Because that's about the difference in ability we're looking at here
  4. You can't even compare EJs running ability to Taylor's. They're in different categories completely. Taylor can run like a young Vick.
  5. Yea I know Taylor isn't good but if he is just as bad at throwing, at least he can run. Plays can be designed for him that EJ couldn't execute to save his life.
  6. https://vine.co/v/eHhgbgUnnHE Not good. To me this is obviously on EJ. If the throwing ability is all equally terrible sign me up for Tyrod
  7. Thanks everyone for the info. I am very excited to move, I'll be there in September. The job starts on September 21st. I'm looking forward to the stupidly high cost of living and the lack of water, a real one too punch that make moving there so attractive. Vader, thanks for the heads up. I will definitely try to get there as much as possible. I love the Bills and would really love to be around fans, especially if we have a good season.
  8. Im moving from NY to San Jose in a couple months and really would love to be able to watch the games with some other fans if possible. I looked in the Bills Backers forums but there doesnt appear to be a south Bay group and it is not checked often so thats why I am posting here. Google brings up a site which says that people meet in Britannia Arms but the site doesnt seem to be updated frequently so I dont know if people still go there. So does anybody know of a South Bay contingent of Bills fans and what bar, if any, is the best place to watch? Maybe Ill have to make my own
  9. You say theres "No way" we pay him...why? keeping an aging Mario and Kyle is better than resigning a 25 yr old Dareus? that makes no sense. If we have to pay a franchise QB than that is a great scenario to be in and we can get cost in many other ways. You shouldnt not-sign a franchise D-line player in the anticipation of signing a franchise QB who is not even on the team right now. Also there no way TN takes Dareus for the #2 pick for us to get Mariota.
  10. Its funny, this weekend I just went back and watched the Dolphins, Chargers and Bears game in rewind (couldnt stomach the Texans game) and I walked away glad we turned it over to Orton. I actually went in trying to see if maybe EJ was better than I remembered but he was just as bad except for a couple drives in the Bears game and the Dolphins game. I vote that Cassel wins this competition.
  11. Apparently he was with Jimmy Gaines. I just heard this piece of info, take it for what it's worth. This could all be for nothing.
  12. My brother works valet at the Lafayette in downtown Buffalo and he told me that Brandon Spikes is there right now. Maybe there are negotiations ongoing.
  13. The fact that you would want the Bills to trade Clay for Cousins might even be worse. Cousins is awful. Not even on the same planet as Dalton and Cutler as far as ability
  14. This pretty much was all covered in previous posts but one thing I didn't notice before is the line "Maybe the Redskins will give us Cutler". That makes it even better
  15. We feel that EJ may develop (some of us) but no team would give up anything for him, especially a competant starter even if Clay is in the deal as well because they already have a good TE. Also the Bears are not really re-building. They think they can compete now. They have a ton of weapons on offense and still have Cutler, and pretty good secondary. Last year was a down year but they are not in full blow-it-up rebuild mode. Clay is not nearly valuable enough to trade for Cutler especially given his huge contract. Send them Dareus and they might listen.
  16. Why oh why do people think that these ideas make any sense at all? Trade Charles Clay for Dalton? IF the Bengals wanted Clay that bad why wouldn't they have tried to get him? They already have Eifert, so they'll have two TEs and no QB? Smart. The same applies to the Bears with Bennett. I really don't understand why the people that make these posts think the players on the Bills are so valuable to anyone else in the league. Just because we over payed for Clay doesn't mean anyone else wants him, especially given how much money we gave him. Abs are by far the most important position in the league and you think teams are willing to trade one for a mediocre hybrid TE? oh throw in a QB that has never shown that he can make it in the league, that'll sell them.
  17. I think Cassel is best suited for this. This is exactly what EJ has been awful at this whole time. Recognizing the op en guy quickly and getting him the ball..
  18. We kind of are the Packers on defense, with Aaron Williams, Duke, Gilmore, Dareus, Kyle, Leodis all being major contributors last year who we drafted. Weve added pieces that played for other teams (Mario and Jerry) but the majority of the defense is home grown. Unfortunately because our talent on defense is so mismatched with what we have on offense we are in a position that in order to capitalize on this defense now we have to pay to get playmakers on offense, hence all of the signings. Itd be great if we had home grown players on both sides of the ball, especially QB but we dont.
  19. I think a lot of people, myself included, like to convince themselves that what they have or the decision they made is the best one and justify it. If we had kept Kiko and signed Murray this thread would be much more in favor of Murray over McCoy but since McCoy is on the team a lot of people are convincing themselves McCoy is better. In reality theyre both really good but good at different things. I think Murray actually fits the Roman system better, based on what he ran in SF (which may not be what he wants to run here) meaning that he is more like Gore than McCoy is but hes oft-injured. McCoy is a game changer though in a way we always hoped Spiller would be. He can get mediocre yards for a large portion of the game and then break a huge run for a TD at any moment. The difference is that we would still have Kiko on the team. While its easy to discredit him because he wasnt on the team last year and he is coming off of an ACL injury its dumb to suggest that you dont want him on the roster. If this same preposition was made for a team none of us care about I think a lot more people would choose Kiko + Murray. Did you see Phillys line two years ago when Shady had his big year? Evan Mathis was first team all-pro and Jason Peters was second team.
  20. Stevie is a better WR with a MUCH better QB throwing him the ball. All signs point to Stevie. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hogan cut honestly. I don't think it will happen but I wouldn't be shocked either
  21. Bring him in for a workout. There is no down side to bringing him in.
  22. maybe nobody but why not take a chance. Upside and potential are worthless if they can't realize it. Might as well give us a better chance at finding a QB. Many QBs that start were found later in the draft, after guys that had more upside.
  23. I think you mean Flash can be cut. I highly doubt anyone would give up any assets for an oft-injured guy that couldn't see the field on a team with a terrible offense.
