  1. The original "Rock Pile" was War Memorial stadium. Saw my first game there, Buffalo played the "Boston" Patriots. Was snowing so hard couldn't even see the field (we were wayyyyy up) The crowd below would cheer and we didn't have a clue what happened! It snowed 4" by the end of the game! I have sat all over the Ralph and I didn't like the rock pile seats. There was a bunch of idiots that were already drunk when they got in and all they did was fight, drink and raise hell. Didn't pay one bit of attention to the game. All the rest of the seats were good.
  2. The Mayans calendar runs out in December. They probably just got bored and said "screw it" we're done wit dis! The Bills would have kicked their butts in football! GO BILLS!!
  3. Two words; "Wide Right" I was on one knee in front of the tv at my bosses house. I slowly toppeled over lying dazed on his living room carpet. He didn't know what to say. After a few minutes he kind of weakly said "sorry".
  4. It used to be the Dolphins (remember "Squish the Fish"? Most of the Dolphin fans around here are rude jerks! BUT. My seething anger has been transferred to The Pats. I want to see us "SQUISH" Brady and his smug arrogance!
  5. You are right on the money and your draft picks are spot on! Great picks, looks like exactly what the Bills would do.
  6. Bills are not going to go after a QB at 10 mainly because they have so many other glaring needs! They just paid Fitz to be the starter and want to get another reciever to throw to. Plus they need a DE, LB etc. Using a number 10 pick on a QB would be a waste because he will be sitting for awhile behind Fitz.
  7. He might have been at the game but he probably didn't know he was.
  8. Ralph probably doesn't even know what planet he is on half the time. You see him on tv during a game and he looks like he is sitting on someone's knee with their hand up his butt making him blink. Don't think he's making any kind of decisions about the team but somebody is and they don't give a rats behind if Buffalo wins or not, just sell those tickets, sell those Bills jerseys, and to hell with putting together a winning football team. Do I sound bitter? I have been a Bills fan a very long time, and I will be a Bills fan to my last breath (except if they move the team, then I am done with them). What has been the common denominator, the one thing that hasn't changed in decades, was it the players? No. Was it the coaches? No. Was it the GM? No again. It was Ralph. Think it will change with better players? No. Better coaches? No. Different GM? No. Different owner? I hope so.
  9. "If at first you don't succeed, try try again......then give up, no use making a damn fool of yourself!" (WC FIELDS)
  10. Went to a couple of Bills games and sat fairly close to the Buffalo bench. You are right. No fire. It started with Losman. He would come off the field and walk to the end of the bench and pull the hood up and just sit there by himself. Granted his crappy play might have something to do about that but it seems there is no fire in these guys. They come off the field and just sit there. There is nobody walking up and down the bench getting guys fired up, nobody yelling at guys on the field. Fitz justs sits there looking at pictures of what went wrong, or with his head down. I have yet to see him pacing up and down where his linemen are sitting encouraging them or yelling at them for letting him get creamed.
  11. No matter who they draft, they will not get better. One or two blue chip guys can't make much of a difference. Something is broken on this team, and untill they figure what is broken and finally fix it, we will lose. Chan has said "I don't know how to fix it" so even he knows there is something wrong. I am no armchair head coach and I certainly don't have a clue on how to fix it but no matter who plays on this team we won't win till SOMEBODY say's "o.k. we need to ..............." There are a lot of injuries to key players, maybe that's it? No pass rush, could that be it? A Quarter back that is not really a "great" QB? Bad play calling? Could it be that Ralph needs to release the reins? Don't know. Everyone has a theory on how to fix this team but untill they do fix it = NO PLAYOFF spot.
  12. I have been a Bills fan since Jack Kemp was Quarter Back. Used to go to the Bills games at the old rock pile. I have seen good years and bad years and horrible years. I have always been and forever will be a Bills fan. That is unless they move the team. If the team goes away so do I. Yes it's been a frustrating year. I get together with a bunch of Bills fans at a local watering hole to watch the games. As the season went south so did our group of Bills fans. We are down to 4, from a bunch that started out with about 20. Granted we haven't had much to cheer about in the last 12 years but as I am a Bills fan (or brain damaged, I don't know which) I keep watching. Thank God for alcohol. Go Bills and remember there is always next year (sounds a bit redundent doesn't it?)
  13. I'll be watching with my Bills buds at Rivals Sports Bar in Williamsport as we do every game. It's surprising how many there is since we're in Steeler, Eagles country. These are "hardcore" Bills fans, not jump on the wagon type fans. I am from Buffalo (born and raised there) and will always be a "Buffalo" Bills fan, unless they move the team then I might have to cross over to the dark side........NAWWWWWWWWWWWWW. GO BILLS
  14. You know the ol saying "On any given Sunday". There are teams that have a winning rep and suddenly everyone is saying nobody can beat them. Not true. Who's to say the Bills get to Brady and he throws a couple of dead ducks that are picked off. Or their on a off day and make mistakes. Probably everyone (except the Bills) are saying Buffalo doesn't have a chance. If the Bills lose there are those that will say "See it was a flook that Buffalo won 2 games" What those pin heads fail to see is that Buffalo is playing better football. Who cares what some talking head rates the Bills at. All I see is a team that is playing better and finishing games insted of quitting in the middle of the 4th quarter. We will have our day in the sun again Bills fans. Maybe not Sunday, but the day is coming. Personally I think the Bills have a chance to win Sunday and hope they do, but if they don't win, I'm hoping they make a game out of it! GO BILLS!
  15. You know some people would B word if you hung them with a new rope! The Bills aren't looking to go to the Super Bowl, or the even the playoffs. What they want is to improve the team and build a contender for next season. With wins comes confidence. A good place to start because frankly I'd bet their confidence level after the 2009 season was in the basement. Then comes 2010, not a whole lot better but we saw a few flashes of what was to come. Then this year we start 2-0. Good confidence builder. I like the way the team is shaping up, and I love the way that they are playing together as a team finally. No superstars, no one man army, everyone pulling together. There is a reason that nobody is really leaping off the pages by playing like a crazed caveman. It's called cohesion. By working together and as a team they are building chemistry. Sure there is room for improvement. If you stop improving you lose football games. But everything is starting to jell. Will we win every game this year? Probably not. But let's all agree that there is light at the end of the tunnel. Relax and enjoy the new and improved Bills. GO BILLS!
  16. It's not just Fox that disses the Bills, they all tend to ignore the Bills. Even our local news channel didn't have the score for the Bills Chiefs game listed on the screen, like it never happened. ESPN glossed over the game, devoted about 25 sec of highlights, then went on to talk for 12 minutes about Mike Vick and the Eagles game. I wish the Bills would make it to the Super Bowl (and win) so that the sports posers HAD to talk about them. Boy that would really chap their butts wouldn't it? O.K. it is just one game but come on, how often do we get a great win like today?
  17. Don't think the Bills will trade anybody. Who have they got that would actually be worth a trade? McGee maybe. Trade him for a OT that has had knee surgery or "has potential" even though he has played on every practise squad in the NFL. Maybe we could trade him for a 5th round draft pick! Yeah that's a good idea. Yeeesh, we have what we have and dats the name of dat tune. Love em or leave em, I'm still a bills fan and if you cut me I'd bleed blue and white (used to bleed dark blue and red but had to change hemogolbin due to uni change)
  18. While it is not exclusively a "Bills Bar" Rivals in Williamsport PA. does have an active amount of Bills fans that come in on game day. They "reserve" a tv for us (the same for years) and anywhere from 4 to 10 Bills fans can be found there. The food is good and they pass out crying towels to us.
  19. Like Ozzy Osborne says "The nightmare continues!"
  20. I just watched the game on NFL Network. First set of downs looked good, everybody doing what they were suppose to do. Then "what happened?" Offense started to sputter, db's couldn't cover, linebackers couldn't cover tight ends. It was a mess! I watched McKelvin get burned time after time. Looks like he's playing so far off he can't catch up. Looked like all the db's were playing 10 yards off their man. Why? Sure our QB's are not the elite in the NFL but they could be playing better IF they had more time to pass, so that means the O line wasn't doing their job either. So who is doing their job well? Everybody can point their finger at this guy or that guy but all in all EVERY player on the Bills need to start playing to their potential or go play soccer or arena football.
  21. Fitz won't be going anywhere. Now he might be headed as a backup to Thigpen IF Thigpen out stats him. Chan and Buddy could still change QB's and not lose face.
