Logically, one might come to the conclusion that our head coach who is very experienced in developing defensive backs in his system, has decided that the guy you might have expected to play has been determined to be worse in this system than the guy that is playing ahead of him. His coaching and development of DBs earns him the benefit of the doubt. Benford is very very good and most of this forum was wrong about him and Elam. Sean was right.

Grab a couple kickers off the street. For the next two games, put them on a high school field somewhere in Buffalo during gametime. Load the stands with all the haters on this board and WGR callers, and instruct them to heckle the kickers while they kick. Every time Bass lines up for a kick in the real game, put these guys on the same yardline on their field. Have them make the same kick at the same time. Whoever has the better percentage gets/keeps the job. It's the only way to be sure.

He can and has made kicks. You are making an exaggerated claim, like due to being in your feelings, and not thinking this through. He hasn't been good. But we take a big hit for cutting him, and there isn't a clear upgrade path where the guy we bring in is better to justify the financial pain.

Who is better out there? You are going to take a kick in the ass with dead cap and money owed if you release Bass, so you need it to be an upgrade on what you have for it to make sense. Lots of people in their emotions on this but not thinking it through
