  1. I read his book and it is probably the BEST description of what it feels like to have MS, without dwelling on the negative. (got it new for $7 incl shipping on eBay) I plan on being there. -- - - - - - - -- - - - - Rochester D&C June 7, 2006 Squiggy actor speaks here on multiple sclerosis David L. Lander, the actor best known for playing Squiggy on TV's Laverne & Shirley, will speak in Henrietta this month. He will be joined by Dr. Steven Schwid co-director of the Rochester Multiple Sclerosis Center and associate chair for clinical research, speaking about the latest treatments and research, and by Joel Weintraub, who combines professional comedy experience with his physical therapy master's degree to talk about "humor for the health of it." Lander was diagnosed with the chronic disease in 1984 but hid it from the public for 15 years. His book Fall Down Laughing: How Squiggy Caught Multiple Sclerosis and Didn't Tell Nobody was published in 2000. The event starts at 6:30 p.m. June 19 at Doubletree Hotel, 1111 Jefferson Road, Henrietta. It's free. Register in advance by calling sponsor MS ActiveSource toll-free, (866) 955-9999.
  2. This was performed last night "live" at the installation of officers for my Masonic Lodge. Very nice.
  3. 6.022 x 10 (to the 23rd power) The calculated value of the number of atoms, molecules, etc. in a gram mole of the Beast, according to Avogadro.
  4. What about 665: "I coulda been some body!"
  5. This I agree with. Not unless I know the VERY well, if they are drunk! Your neighbors are kinder and gentler, millbank! I agree is it was an annual thing, move on - your turn to party will arrive. If it is every week, call one minute before the local noise ordinance starts.
  6. If I am going to blast classical, I need to list: Also sprach Zarathustra (Strauss) (link) Blugrass: The other night I was cranking "Hardworking John" by David Bromberg, and Pebbles had a look of pain on her face!
  7. Everyone knows that 666 is not the number of the beast. It's just the AREA code!
  8. Agreed. Also, I did not like the poll choices. Rom Mexico is winning, btw.

  11. I only "married off" one daughter so far. I walked her down the aisle and 'gave her away' to a very fine man. As father of the bride or groom you traditionally have a place in the wedding party, reception line, a special dance with the wife and the new bride, etc. It is rarely only on the "father of the bride's dime" anymore too. My wife and I paid for the reception (including an open bar) and wedding dress. We would have helped more, but at the time we were pissed at the new in-laws for trying to control everything, so we let them - and we let them pay for it too! My son-in-law is a great husband, father and second son. How he came from such POS parents astounds me. (I bet they feel the same way about me!)
  12. Check out Best Man and his Task List Traditionally the best man is an honor but also a lot of work. Personally, if my son (who is probably as old or older than you!) asked me to be his best man I would be extremely honored! He is one of my few best friends. But, I would politely decline so I could enjoy the wedding and bachelor party, not plan or work at them. Have you talked to your Dad yet to see what HIS thoughts are?
  13. You are such a soprano!
  14. That is correct.
  15. I always tolerate the foibles of others, and I do not even know what the heck a foible is. All he wanted was a night's sleep, not too spoil anyone's party. All he wanted was what he paid for. What is more important, the possibly (50/50) once in a lifetime event or the swim meet? Depends on which service you were buying. They both were. You are right though, if a coin drops don't pick it up because some moron will think you are stealing it!
  16. Where is my present, Harriet!
  17. It's Tillamook on Google. where to find Tillamook ice cream good picture of custard ice cream cones Rochester's best
  18. This happened to me with comic book artist George Perez. I saw him at a convention in Buffalo early in his career. I commissioned two sketches and got a couple comics signed. I still have the items, but a year or two later, he became very popular and changed his autograph to make it less "artsy" and quicker to sigh when faced with lines of hundreds of fans. I have shown this to a couple people who said they would never think that was his signature. As far as the bad jersey/fake autograph, I would still report him to eBay just to get some attention; he IS an eBay store after all. As was pointed out there was some question about Moulds autograph too. I was approached by a buyer to cancel a couple auctions and he would give me a higher bid. He also wanted to buy other items "off eBay". I just declined his 1st request, but let him know that his other request was against my eBay sellers agreement. I guess he was a low-life or a eBay mole! I do a bit of business on eBay (mostly selling) and I am VERY conscious of buyer and seller integrity.
  19. Thanks! 53 feels real good! It has to be my birthday - got my tickets to the Bills opener from Jay today. HFBD to your others to!
  20. L. Smith ended up retiring because of it - never recovered. He tried suing the Bills but they came out squeaky clean and never had to pay him. Now THERE is gratitude!
  21. The Kiss of Death. Some stats should be outlawed.
  22. That jingle song, for us as kids, was like the call of the Pied Piper to a city of rats. news link mister softee DOT com Web site has a clip of the jingle. The last one of these I saw was in Greenwich Village at a festival a couple years ago.
