  1. Move the threads about the Redskins, Jason Peters, Willis McGahee, etc. off the wall too, then.
  2. I'm not offended. I just think that hearing the same jokes over and over again isn't funny.
  3. That does not make him "one of the worst draft picks in Bills history." Was McGahee a great pick, or even a good one? No, as most first round RBs aren't. That being said, he is far removed from the countless first and second round busts who amounted to nothing.
  4. I agree that the "humor" about Brady and his disposition on this board is redundant. Hearing the same jokes over and over again isn't funny or creative. http://www.washingto...mjQKD_blog.html Above is an article including a scouting report on Brady before the 2000 NFL draft. Buchsbaum, like most scouts, thought Brady lacked the build and arm strength to succeed in the NFL. Edit: Below is some more information on how Brady was perceived in 2000. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/04/12/brady-6-highlights-the-inaccuracy-of-the-draft/
  5. That's not true; other studios, E.A. or otherwise, have done new game engines in the same period of time. EA Canada, for example, does far more on an annual basis to improve its NHL franchise than Tiburon does with Madden.
  6. "The best yet"? It took out basic features that had been in the game for years. E.A. Sports Tiburon is complacent because of their monopoly. As they have an exclusive license, I don't believe that the lawsuit has a valid claim. Nevertheless, E.A. Sports has consistently been lazy with Madden; as new features are added annually, old ones are taken out. The following year, E.A. claims that they are adding brand new features, which are simply the re-introduction of old ones (for example, this year's Madden will bring back owner mode, multiple offline franchise teams, imported draft classes, and other features that were inexcusably removed). The amount of new development done annually on Madden is shameful.

  8. More glaringly, the "writer" spelled E.J. Manuel's last name as "Manual" in the body of the "article." USA Today is far from being a quality publication, so I'm not surprised that their social media staff linked to this nonsense. I agree that Woods should probably be on the list over Dobson.
  9. What does Stevie shear? I don't think he's particularly good with sheep. I think many of you are severely underrating Hakeem Nicks and Vincent Jackson.
  10. It's a theoretical situation. Use Freeman's numbers from last year instead, then. I don't think Kolb will actually perform like that, but the question remains: if Kolb performs well next year, what do you do for 2014-2015?
  11. That's like saying you want RG3, Russell Wilson, or Luck. All of them are on rookie contracts and won't be free agents for a few years, so what's the point? Tannehill isn't going to suddenly become available.
  12. Let's say Kolb starts and plays a full season after a strong training camp. He puts up 3,265 yards, 26 TDs, 8 INTs, completes 63.3% of his passes, and averages 7.3 yards per attempt. Those were Roethlisberger's numbers last season. Buffalo finishes 8-8 (as Pittsburgh did last year) and doesn't make the playoffs. Manuel looks good in practice and is healthy over the course of his rookie year. What do you do for the 2014-2015 season?
  13. There is, as many have pointed out, a very good chance that this "draft board" is a ploy by Jerry Jones and the Cowboys to mislead fans and other teams.
  14. Again, for those of you accusing Lawson and Branch of skipping out on voluntary workouts: http://www.buffalone.../130529830/1003
  15. You have no idea why Branch is missing OTAs. He may be missing them because he doesn't feel obliged too, in which case fans should be upset. He may also be missing OTAs because of an undisclosed injury, family reasons, or other personal reasons. Edit: I found a link with an explanation as to why both players have been out: Besides safety Jairus Byrd, who is unsigned, two other veterans have not yet appeared at the voluntary organized team activity workouts. They are defensive tackle Alan Branch and linebacker Manny Lawson, both unrestricted free-agent acquisitions. “They have things going on personally, and good situations for them, where they have to be supportive of their families,” coach Doug Marrone said this week. “Again it is a situation where these workouts are voluntary.” Source: http://www.buffalonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20130521/SPORTS/130529830/1003
  16. Woods, apparently, wasn't on their board. Goodwin had a sixth round grade.
  17. Rogers has played very poorly most of the time. Brooks has barely played, yes, but he's looked decent compared to Rogers/Williams. You're right about McKelvin; he's not one of the top sixty CBs in the league. I don't think, though, that he is worse than most teams' third CBs. McKelvin isn't very good, but very few teams have solid (Gilmore-level) second CBs. The Packers, Bengals, Bears, and Seahawks have two or more great CBs, but that's pretty much it.
  18. Those were the O.P.'s rankings, not Galliford's.
  19. Gilmore is, right now, about the 20th-35th best CB in the league. I'd put McKelvin in the 50th-65th range. Brooks is likely in the 100th-115th range. Rogers is, maybe, in the 130th-145th range.
  20. Teams don't generally draft nose tackles in the first round.
  21. Dareus could also continue to be what he has been: an inconsistent pass rusher with bursts of greatness, and a generally mediocre run defender. I do think, though it's early, that we'll draft a pass rusher, given the incredible depth in the 2014 draft at this point.
  22. We'll draft 10th and take a pass rusher.
  23. The question, "whose career is more likely to be salvaged?", is a great deal different from what you seem to be asking: which of the listed players will break out this year? Carrington was very effective last year, and Sanders was on I.R. before the season started. I think Carrington will be as effective as he was last year, and he might see more playing time. Of the others listed, I think Troupe will actually see the field and contribute, which will be an improvement.
  24. Walter Football's April Fool's pick for Buffalo was mildly amusing: Buffalo Bills: E.Geno Barkwilbray, QB, Buffalo Laboratory General manager Buddy Nix is fed up. He's tired of not having a quality quarterback. He's also tired of missing out on the top quarterbacks in the NFL Draft. "Why couldn't we have a doggone high pick last year when those guys named Luck and RG3 came out?" Nix lamented. "Now, there's not a true franchise quarterback in this doggone draft. Just a bunch of OK guys. So I put my scientist to work." Nix's scientist apparently stole blood samples from E.J. Manuel, Geno Smith, Matt Barkley, Tyler Wilson and Tyler Bray at the Combine. He then infused a corpse with all of the blood samples. The new being was supposed to have the best traits of Manuel, Smith, Barkley, Wilson and Bray combined. Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned. "E.Geno Barkwilbray was supposed to have the best doggone abilities, but he has the worst doggone abilities!" Nix groaned. This is true. E.Geno Barkwilbray is inconsistent. He misses wide-open receivers routinely. He leads a laid-back, Hollywood-type Southern California lifestyle. He has no arm strength. And worst of all, he spends every night throwing beer bottles at cars. We believe that one day, Buffalo will finally have a franchise quarterback. http://walterfootbal...3aprilfools.php Who's the QB that "threw beer bottles at cars"?
