  1. Wouldn't mind him in the 3rd or 4th rd
  2. Misery by Metallica reflects the Bills and there fanbase as a whole! Lol 🤣
  3. I'll take the Dark Emperor or Shanny Jr. We know Belichek has the formula for winning titles and he'll have his franchise QB in Josh . Shanny Jr would also be amazing considering he's never had a QB in the realm of Josh Allen and it would be crazy to see what he can cook up with v this offense. Either one would be a massive upgrade over McClappy! At least the other guy that doesn't get it done doesn't have a all world QB and has gone to 2 Superbowls without one.
  4. It's not bad idea to see what other players are available for trade for other positions the Bills need. As far as Burks is concerned trading for him won't be the last move they make at Wr. I still would draft one high. How were gonna to use him really depends on him and how he fits in the offense. What we do know is he's made some big plays on the NFL level and whatever glimpses Elam has shown Burks has as well. Burks was heading in the right direction when Tennessee started opening up the offense but he was derailed in his best game of his young career via injury. That game vs the Packers he already had over 100yds in the 3rd quarter. Maybe a change of scenery or schemes will help both Elam and Burks because obviously it's not working were there at.
  5. It's not just about being aggressive it's about having a feel for situational football. Coming out of that 2 min warning vs KC knowing they have a couple timeouts and we're at the 26yd line u have to run the ball . Josh Allen was running at will I don't think he had a run the whole game for less then 5yds and Ty Johnson was also running it really well so instead of throwing the ball to the endzone its on Mcd to use that 2 min warning to make sure his OC knows what needs to be done to finish this game. Which is kill clock kill the timeouts and score a TD by doing that we win the game and give the ball bk to Mahomes with around 30/40 seconds left or less with no timeouts. Obviously the next 2 plays Allen goes to the endzone as if he only had 15 secs left in the game. That's situational football and that's something Mcd has proven over and over again that he lacks a feel for.
  6. This was the perfect off-season to let him and Beane go instead we're going to trust them to rebuild something they couldn't fix to begin with. What I mean by that is the Dline these guys used massive amounts of resources to build the Dline for the majority of the time they were here we spent the most cap space at that position ntm many high picks in the draft. I lost all faith in McBeane from the way Mcd coaches in the playoffs to his schemes to the way Beane drafts it's been a disappointment. The best off-season we had while Mcd was here was in 2017 and we all know that was Whaley's scouting staff and personal department that lead that off-season even if Mcd made the calls they scouted those guys . We've been living off that off-season ever since. I don't believe Pegs has what it takes as a owner to make the critical move to get these guys out that having been riding Josh Allen like a prized horse . Hopefully he figures this out next season.
  7. If they can keep him for near or at the cap hit if he's cut then why not otherwise he has to go.
  8. I didn't know Burks played with Josh Allen. Btw not everything is about the underwear Olympics. Burks had a 70yd play this yr and in his rookie season I see a few big plays from him as well in 22 one game in particular was against the Packers where he had 111yds on 7 catches before getting injured on huge play in 3rd quarter he was also facing Jaire Alexander and Douglas at the corner spot that day.
  9. So u want to wait in see if this new technique will work for Tre while the team is over the cap by 45 mil ? Then if he's good move another corner that's just fine at there position to safety I don't think that's logical its time to move on and use the cap savings on a real safety.
  10. Tre doesn't have any trade value coming off an Achilles injury. He should be released were probably going to have another Von situation where Tre just doesn't have it anymore. When it comes to a Burks for Elam deal. It's about finding a way out and fresh start for both these young players . Burks has shown some potential at times but has had some bad luck with injuries and horrible QB play he also played in a heavy running offense. I'm not saying if we trade for Burks we're done at Wr I still think we should draft one high . Elam has not cought on with this defense in 2yrs what makes u think he will in his 3rd? He's just not a fit for Mcd defense he never was really. It's time to find a team for him that plays the type of defense that his talents can be showcased.
  11. If it ain't this deal we need to find a deal for him somewhere especially if we're running the same defense. He's just not a zone corner
  12. Do we also have the guts to move on from Poyer, Morse & DaQuan. The Bills need to move on from these older vets. Morse - still a good player but he's 1 head injury away from missing extensive time he's also north of 30 and saves 8+ mil on the cap. Plus we already have his replacement in house with Bates. Bates just turned 27yrs old and has performed at a high level when he's played. The Bills have serious cap problems and can't afford for Morse to get Injured again while eating serious cap space it's time to move on from him and give Bates his chance. Poyer- Poyer is another older vet 33yrs old and has lost a step this last season do we really want him to stick around and see if he loses another this upcoming season? Poyer has around 6mil in cap savings if released and the safety market is full of young players and won't cost much to get his replacement maybe a player like Jeremy Chinn who's still young and has shown massive potential early in his career and can come in here and play at a higher level then Poyer has this last season. DaQuan - Another player that still has some game but coming off an injury and entering next season at 31yrs of age do we really want to sign him back to a 2-3 yr extension? The Bills don't have the cap space to take chances. There's potential free agents like Tair Tart or Raekwon Davis that would cost way less and play nearly as good as DaQuan. Mof I think we can sign both these players for around what it would cost to keep DaQuan. I say that's a win for us. This off-season is a great opportunity for the Bills to enter a mini reset phase get younger & cheaper. Move on from older vets and take on some young hungry players all while fixing there cap for upcoming seasons. The question is does McBeane believe these guys are even old ? I don't believe they do actually I think they will bring all of them back.
  13. I was looking around at depth charts of different teams for possible Beane type deal and came across Treylon Burks Wr from the Tennessee he's been underwhelming since being drafted by the Titans and now they have a new regime in place . The Titans have a desperate need for corner help and we have a big need for Wrs . The Bills should make an offer there bust for ours 😂 maybe Elam will be a better fit in the Titans new Defense and Burks can finally play with a real QB in Buffalo. Win win everyone. 😂. What u think fellas would u like a deal like this?
  14. Andy Reid sure loves him some cheeseburgers! 😂 Btw I'm the one who posted that great KC Cookbook! 😂
  15. Now did those teams play some zone absolutely they did but the core principle is man to man. Coughlin, Wade, Belichek, Bowles & Spags run majority man to man u can't deny that. That's 8 championships right there
  16. The common denominator in there schemes is the man to man press schemes. That's the point! Most of those defenses are 3-4 defenses or hybrid . We don't run that D . My point is this is the way to go if u wanna win big
  17. Do u realize the last 3 QBs we beat in the playoffs and who they are 2 3rd stringers in Rudolph and Thompson and a Rookie in Mac Jones and guess what they all scored good points against us. 😂
  18. My point is they clutched they grabbed with the Wrs that's something we don't embrace on a high level were not committed to it. U mention Seattle, Carolina , Atlanta using Cover 3 and 1 and having great success but now I can go Pats 3 KC 3 , Den 1 , Balt 1, NYG 1, Rams 1 & BUCS 1 that's 11 Champions since 2012 that ran man to man press defenses. I'm not sure exactly what Philly ran so I didn't put them in there but that's basically a sweep .
  19. Are the Chiefs the most talented team in the league? I doubt anyone would say that but when u add the combination of talent and winning philosophies u get these results more times then not.
  20. It also won't hurt to implement some of these schemes teams are using that are very successful during the playoffs. At the same time they need to have players that can play those roles instead of cookie cutter scheme types. Mcd is definitely married to his schemes and won't back away from them no matter how bad they get cooked in meaningful games. As much I hope Babich changes some of our philosophies on defense it just seems like he's an extension of Mcd and his schemes and will operate the status quo.
  21. Yes they were the difference is they played a ton more man to man then we do and we're much much more physical them us as well. Remember they played that clutch and grab style in the secondary that year they lead the league in penalties.
  22. Not at all I'll take Pacheco over lil Cookie any day of the week and twice on Sundays.
  23. I was thinking the same thing last night while the Chiefs were at the podium. That would've been legendary! 😂
  24. Pressure makes diamonds that's a quote Mcd likes to use at times. I believe he uses it in reference to team building and competition but there's much more to it. The Chiefs are the newest example of this and they know and have the recipe. I hate to say it the Chiefs are just better then everyone else they have the mentality the physicality and the strategy the Bills are lacking. They pressure u at nearly every level even when they punt they can't lose. Townsend was backed up multiple times last night and threw out the playoffs only to boot the ball 70yds in the air and flip the field position. Mentality - The Chiefs play every down like it's the last and don't let up every inch on that field is a physical fight some might think that fumble on the punt return was luck but they created that luck by not letting up not taking that play for granted they create there luck every step of the way. From Sneed punching out the ball from Zay Flowers hands at the goal line to Chris Jones getting timely pressures and sacks to even there no name role players making huge contributions they all have that mentality that there going to make the plays when they need it most. This is also something that many other Superbowl winners shared from the Pats to the Steelers to the Seahawks over the last 20 or so years. Strategy - Andy Reid and Spags will probably go down as the best Coaching combo in the history of the game or at least in the discussion as one of them. The defense that Spags imploys is a Superbowl ingredient no doubt about it. From the Pats, Steelers, Broncos , Ravens and many more over the last 20yrs many championships were won with this strategy a man to man hybrid defense with hands on Wrs How many teams do we have to watch win Superbowls till we implement this strategy? The Pats were masters at this and KC ain't to far behind in that regard as there corners and safeties are constantly redirecting Wrs routes by holding clutching grabbing pushing using arm locks at times and by doing this it gives there Dline more time to get pressure it's brilliant and many teams haven't caught on to this yet. I like to call it a net positive they know they will be called for it here and there but overall the refs will let it pass way more times then they call it. Offensively Andy Reid is a Bill Walsh tree West coast offense protege and over the yrs he's tinkered with that offense and has mastered his abilities to call the right plays for the defenses that there seeing it absolutely helps him that he has a general like Mahomes leading his offense that can make plays off script when it's necessary. Otherwise they have answers for nearly every defense u can throw at them. Last night was even more scary because Mahomes actually looked like Brady dissecting the defense and making it look real easy with pitch and catch plays. He looked like a master game manager and used his legs when it mattered most. Nothing to shiny about that just pitch and catch knowing were the weakness in the zones were. Remember Wilks is a Mcd protege. I wasn't shocked to see the 49ers secondary back up in OT on that 2nd and 14 I felt like I was watching a classic Mcd meltdown defense right in front of my eyes. Physicality - The Chiefs are built for a brawl from the oline to the running backs to the special teams and defense there team size is massive. There really not that fast as a team overall but they wear down there opponents all game long using there physical advantages. Not only are they physically imposing but they also play like it. Last night's game kind of reminded me of a heavyweight boxing match in which we saw the Chiefs cruise threw the first half while the 49ers looked like they emptied the tank. The Chiefs definitely imposed there will on the 49ers in 2nd half and in OT and took over the game. This all comes from whatever Andy Reid is doing to keep his team in top shape and from experience in big games knowing how to pace themselves. Got to give credit where it's due the Chiefs are built for Success. To finalize there seems to be a common denominator when it comes to winning titles in the NFL and other sports as well. Most of the teams that have won in this era are very similar in schemes and concepts and in physical and mental prowess. I believe the Bills are on the path offensively to having such advantages. We seen us morph into a more balanced offense in the last several weeks of the yr and hopefully this off-season Brady can add a few weapons for Josh and implement more schemes to get Wrs open and to open up a even more devastating running game that can flourish towards the end of the year. Defensively I believe we are pretty far off schematically from the formula I stated above because we run more of a zone defense although there's been some success with that scheme in winning titles the teams that won had devastating pass rushes that can get home using only 4 rushers the Colts, Buccaneers (2004), Giants & Rams (2000) had those devastating pass rushes and we are far from having one . With that being said there's way more man to man defenses that have won and they didn't need the top notch talent on the Dline to get it done either. With all that being said obviously there's other factors that come into play in winning a Superbowl but I wanted with this post to be more about the philosophy and not the positions of the players that help win a title because there's all kinds of examples of teams winning with all kinds of different strengths positionally. I would argue that other then QB a team just needs another 2-3 difference makers to win it all and it really doesn't matter what position they play.
  25. Can't really argue close to 37 points against in elimination games . Could've been worse if Cinny didn't take the foot of our throat last yr. Is there really anything else we can say?
