Trade out of 30 for 2022 1st?
Jauronimo replied to OldTimer1960's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Any GM who accepts a trade for the 30th pick THIS YEAR for anything less than a first round pick next year should be shot on the spot. Its a bold a strategy but typically offering 85 cents one year from now to get a dollar today is an offer with no takers. -
As far as I know, you can't unless you're an investment bank or a high net worth individual who has those connections. Better explanation copied below:

Go back and read that whole exchange before you embarrass yourself some more.

I absolutely HATE our team’s focus on Special Teams
Jauronimo replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This argument is residual angst for letting generational players like Foster and Da'Rick go so that we could sign special teams players like Matakevich. -

We retained Taiwan Jones and FireChans world is ending. Crying about special teams spending is like worrying about an aphid infestation when you have a meteor the size of Texas (i.e., budding QB controversy) hurtling towards you. -

I really don't see how anyone could muster the energy to care about special teams signings when we have the seeds of a QB controversy slowly taking root. -
Well, that's just like your opinion, man.

Its really a Catch-22, isn't it? There's just no good answer.

Signing Mitchell Trubitzky after using a high draft pick on Jake Fromm is a clear sign that every one on the team has to earn their starting role every year, week, and day. This has serious shades of Rob Johnson and Doug Flutie. I think the locker room is strong at this point but I really hope this isn't the start of another QB controversy. Lets not forget, Trubixy was the SECOND OVERALL PICK in the draft not long ago. The guy was considered a serious talent. The NFL is a what have you done for me lately league. One or two bad games from Allen, or god forbid an injury, and I think its very realistic we could have a debate about the starting QB and a locker room divided. I hope I'm wrong fellas....

We need to re-sign Da'Rick to keep up in this WR arms race.
-
Its true. Eichel and Skinner have scored zero goals since Krueger was fired. Same as it ever was.
-
Needs scoring...wants Taylor Hall...weird.
-
The good news is that you don't need an account to watch it! You're welcome.
-
Krueger being fired was kinda exciting until you think about Kevyn Adams or Kim Pegula hiring the next coach. Maybe with the price of WTI back at $65 PSE can afford a total reorg and put someone competent in charge of the hockey operations.

Why would the Texans want to tank his trade value?

Brissett to the Dolphins
Jauronimo replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Signing Brisset hardly means Miami isn't interested in Wilson or Watson. -
And Kane was so enamored with it that when he wasn't losing on the ice he was busy losing at the tables in Vegas to the point where he has lost his NHL career. You have to admire his commitment to losing.

Pats apparently in on Fournette and Carson
Jauronimo replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It could mean lots of things. Possibly hes pimping out the cheerleaders to corporate sponsors, suing little old ladies who can no longer afford their season tickets, serving expired peanuts and beer that he bought for pennies from defunct airlines, or hes trying to buy a super bowl in free agency like Snyder did in the early years. Nothing would surprise me.
