  1. We need a QB. I don't know how well he could throw the ball with those hands.
  2. I think you are in the minority, by a lot. A Heisman winner, BCS champion, led many comebacks this year when we thought they were out of it, lost 1 game in two seasons and was by anyone's account the main reason FSU had that remarkable run in his two seasons. He knows how to play the position as well as anyone I've seen in my time watching football. He's up there with Luck as far as football knowledge for a QB. Yes, he was an immature college student, but he's still a first round talent. Young or Russell were not even close. JMO.
  3. but might be good enough now. Considering what we have on the roster right now. By the way, I think EJ is our best shot next season. If Rex can make it to 2 AFC championship games with Sanchez, EJ might be ok.Hope he works out.
  4. Canada's(CFL) best.
  5. For a second there I thought you wrote "Good notes from Matt Millen". Yea, we want his advise!
  6. He's too short. Plus he's a Dennis Rodman fan. No thanks.
  7. Pretty specific on your wish. You knew this was going to happen if Rex was hired?! Would it have been ok if he did Domino's commercials, had Fox Sports1 follow him around and done a different show?
  8. He got a promotion to night shift manager.
  9. Yep, I missed it. Thanks. Here's one for you too. Please don't tell me you don't drink, cuz I already poured it for you.
  10. I feel your pain, brother. Here ya go.
  11. Is Steve Austin/Lee Majors still alive?
  12. I'm leaning to Mario being elite, not just good. Also, I know Kiko didn't play last year but, he is an added piece that should be factored in.
  13. Personal feelings aside, he coached for 2 season here and got paid for it. I believe it was a 4yr deal at $16mil or $4mil per year. There is a lot of tension in the FO w Marrone and no extension. So he leaves with a $4mil. exit check. Sounds like he made $12mil in 2 years here. He is 50 yrs old, has a family, tension at work and fans who want him gone. I would do exactly what he did and say "You want me fired?! Screw you guys and your feelings. No extension, not on the same page as the front office, and fans screaming for me to get fired. Me and my $12 mil are gone. Even If I never get hired again, I'm rich, biotch." Well, he did get hired and will make a decent salary and a FREE $4Mil. I find it hard to believe no one here would take that offer, especially at the age of 50. He's got a lot less stress and is making $4mil + the Jags salary to be an OL coach. We got what we wanted, he's gone and yet some are taking it personal?! Why?! As the ever popular Stevie Johnson AKA the Joker asks "why so serious?!"JMO

  15. Do I think it's possible that Goodell came up with any of these ideas? Yes, I think it's possible. And Why would the owners be disinterested? As to your point that this " Obviously that makes little sense." that is an opinion you express and not everyone agrees. You will not get me to agree that Goodell has no say so in any of this. I am quite sure he has input in some of these decisions. Unless you can PROVE he doesn't, then you are just giving an opinion like everyone else, and it's not any more valid than any of ours. JMO.
  16. I get that you are an all pro and have over 13k posts, but some of us need more than just your word. How do you know these ideas came only from the owners? Goodell could have come up with a couple of these ideas, or even the competition committee. You ask "How could you possibly not know this?". What I want to know is how can you possibly know this? People ask for links all the time. Can you provide some proof, or is it just your word we are banking on?
  17. I think you answered your own question. And don't get me started on the use of same sounding words like their/there/they're and our/are. The last sentence just looks better when it ends with a period, but that's just my opinion. Oops, I mean that is just my opinion.
  18. I don't like Skip Bayless but he called this a few weeks ago. http://ftw.usatoday.com/2014/12/skip-bayless-johnny-manziel-alcoholic-browns
  19. I like Marshawn Lynch.
  20. ODB is the best receiver ever!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3kf6TDw5Tg
  21. Not sure if anyone else heard this yesterday, but I was listening to the Dan Lebatard show last night. They had someone on who did some research and found that from 07 through this season the Pats had an avg. of 1 fumble to every 76 plays and the league avg. is 1 fumble per every 45 plays. They chose 07 because that was the year the nfl changed a rule allowing teams to bring their own balls, instead of using the new balls that hadn't been broken in yet. That's one spin on this controversy not many have thought of. I am wondering what the stats for dropped passes look like for them compared to the rest of the league during this period. No wonder their no name receivers catch everything thrown their way. Someone should ask Welker why his #'s have dropped so far since leaving the Pats. http://podbay.fm/show/301023639/e/1422316977?autostart=1
  22. I missed it then. I saw the rb go to the ref and announce he was ineligible. I listened to see if the ref announced it over the PA but didn't see/hear it. Must have just missed it then.
  23. I think the refs are supposed to announce whether a player reporting is eligible or not. That didn't happen in this case. Sure the player reported to the refs, but the ref did not announce it like they would if a lineman reported as an eligible receiver. Correct me if I'm wrong, but Wr's and Rb's must wear a # within a certain range to help determine who is an eligible receiver. If you don't have a # within that range you must report as an eligible receiver. If you wear a # that belongs to a WR or RB, you must report as an ineligible receiver in the case of the Pats game. This rule is in place and the refs announce the eligibility of a lineman for a reason. They should also announce that a guy wearing #34 is NOT an eligible receiver, even though he is lined up wide.
  24. Was that supposed to be a knock on Dungy? We didn't win one with all the talent we had. I'll take even just ONE.
