Behind Morse ? Bills are not a team who can run up the middle by pure force , no matter if it was Derrick thebeast Henry. No knock on Morse but as long as he is center Bills cannot be a ground and pound , or cloud of dust type of team. Finesse would do them well. Morris is a fine blocker and why he is on the team. He is very underrated as a pass catcher hes more a slot receiver than a TE. We shall see how he develops, and or how he is used. One of my favorite draft picks for bills in a long time. They are different species of TEs But Knox has been the best all around TE we have had in decades. period

The offense needed to grow. Build the running game. use TEs. Screens sweeps checkdowns quick hits. RB out of the backfield. Stop with the shotgun and five wide bs. Not sustainable for Allen's health. Just because they messed it doesnt mean the concept was wrong. Allen still can dump the ball off short for some reason. we all see the open guys while Josh pats the ball waiting poor kids a mess by now do away with that damned shotgun ! and the shotgun draw we saw dorsey go back to it late in the game last sunday. getting to the next play slowly is frustrating. It should be a sequence of events with options . Does this mean Dorsey etc are reacting to defenses as compared dictating ? Seeing the play clock at or near zero last week was a concern, Agreed C3 , pace is an issue. Which leads me to think communication is at the heart of it. Confusion is showing on both sides of the ball actually. aaarggh

I cant agree with the range. But i do agree the range varies each week. One of our biggest gripes is wishing to see a more steady Josh. Cerebral even. But then folks are unpleased he is playing what the defense gives him. And thats when the Dorsey blame (for me ) fires up. Give Josh direction along with accountability, and create opportunities for success more often during the game. Some games I have watched , I absolutely wondered where his head was at. Also still see him growing into a more responsible owner mostly he might need 5 more years to get us to the Promised Land though arrrggh

I might suggest , you have to be able to set those plays up with other plays to preface. And motion might be a better way to get there. O Line is much improved , no question. But still 5 wide is a hard core play call and you better have a hot read (or two)

I am not sold on Dorsey still Some improvement ? Yes But adjusting and getting those down to the field are not showing up For context as some have mentioned , we do have a ton of at least mid level talents and much of it is above. and a few are Top Level. yet Bills offense does not play up to their potential it seems Josh can say whatever he needs to. lets see some consistent drives where defenses are adjusting to the Offensive gains for a full quarter again. I am sure its everyone on the team who can take some blame. But it still looks like the play calls and execution are lacking. Dorsey has to own that. and the McD has to own all of it

On a slightly different perspective. I think McBeanes and Dorsey need to better plan how to use the types of talent and skill sets they brought in. Seems to be a slight disconnect there. the rotation at RB seemed to be a real asset for a game or two in the run game. Lets get the pass catcher doing what they do best. Davis has a skill set that might be better served, if we involve the others. Allowing the offense to dictate a bit more. I feel a good few passes are forced plays , by Allen and Ken , when they may need to look at the third or fourth check to find the soft spots. Keep poking around till they find it. Since they have a run game available now, defenses should have to play a tad more honestly in the pass game. And we have seen that with some nice one on ones running routes. Davis has a role. We just need to get everyone more involved to create the proper match ups, and then see them Post Snap.

yes. he needs perhaps, to combine horizontal and vertical out of the condensed. And even a curl to force a defend to choose to run or stop to play over the route. Yes its noticable and why i questioned is it poor route running , understanding of the timing with the route or just a poor play call . i dont understand why i too see this happening
