  1. If you bet on all the outcomes you’re never wrong.
  2. So basically, if we don’t manipulate the stats he’s a bottom tier passer. Luckily he’s a really good runner because I’d hate to see him having to rely solely on throwing the ball.
  3. Bet the farm, it’s happening
  4. We have a good thing going with Allen. Please don’t ruin it with your predictions ?
  5. Cam Newton without the MVP season. Now who’s going to pick up a sword and fight?
  6. Only if you want to be smart and taken seriously. When did I say to ignore rushing stats or penalize Allen for having a good coach? Are you going to argue points I never made? Again, not once did I say to ignore rushing stats. In fact, I’ve argued the opposite. Nor did I tell you to ignore the talent around him. In fact, that’s what I’ve been saying. Context matters. Arguing the amount of games Jones won as a rookie as if it proves some kind of point without factoring anything else is stupid. It’s equivalent to criticizing Allen for only winning 5 games as a rookie without taking anything else into consideration. What I’m saying shouldn’t be complicated and I’m not sure why you seem so confused by it. You can assume what you want. Did you think Allen would get worse or stay the same after his rookie year? Probably not. That’s not what I’m doing but okay. Your responses thus far have shown me you don’t know what’s going on here so I’ll just consider this par for the course. You do understand this discussion isn’t based on reality right? Do you think there’s a world where Andy Reid would trade Mahomes straight up for Allen? That’s kinda what we’re discussing here. Try and keep up.
  7. Still going to bury your head in the sand on this? Yikes You’ve literally given me no substance so if that’s as much as you’re willing to give then it would just be easier to say you’re a Bills homer and you’d rather put your hopes on Allen. You’d sound less ridiculous that way. So you want to rely on history for proving your opinion about Lamar but you’ll happily ignore history that proves Allen won’t be as good as you think? I give up. You have your opinion. I think it’s silly but you can think what you like.
  8. Allen is just one hit away from serious trouble too.. He definitely has the talent to do it.
  9. Can you provide any kind of substance as to how Allen has a higher ceiling? If it’s just based on hope because you’re a Bills fan then I’d even take that. And calling Lamar a RB after having an elite MVP season as a QB is so ignorant. Just to clarify, because Allen may one day be a superstar, he’s clearly superior to the guy who proved he already was one? Got it...
  10. Wins still aren’t a QB stat and just blindly throwing them out there with literally no other context is stupid. Are we judging QBs based on a one year sample size now? Do we not take coaching into consideration? Do you think Freddie Kitchens was a good coach and maximized all the talent his team had? Did Mayfield suddenly become less talented? Does context matter at all to you? One could easily argue that in regards to rookie years, Daniel Jones was by far better than Allen. Even Jones’ rookie stats weren’t far off from Allen’s sophomore season and I’m sure the Giants are only expecting him to get better. It’s probably not as silly as you think.
  11. We could have beaten Baltimore, unfortunately Allen was horrible and overwhelmed by the Ravens defense. They admitted their plan was to make him be a QB. How was he exposed? He had a higher passer rating and threw significantly more TDs during the second half of the season. Versatile in what way? Smarter how? Allen has already suffered a concussion running with the ball and running is also a major part of Allen’s game so it won’t and shouldn’t be taken away. Not sure how you can make such a definitive statement about Jackson’s durability compared to Allen’s. How is Allen’s ceiling higher when he’s never shown an ability to play at that high of a level? With Lamar, he’s shown us elite level production. With Allen, it’s still about potential. When you consider Allen’s ceiling, what kind of stats is he putting up?
  12. Wins aren’t a QB stat. Did you criticize Allen for only getting 5 wins as a rookie? Probably not because that would have been historically stupid.
  13. If you’re only talking about long term prospects then the list of guys I’d trade Allen for straight is relatively small....probably like 5 guys. However we have a pretty stacked and complete roster ready to compete for a championship right now. So keeping that in mind, if the goal is more short term in hopes of taking advantage of this roster then there are definitely better QBs that I think make that list a little longer.
  14. A much better QB? Is this based on anything other than the fact you’re a Bills fan? It honesty sounds crazy.
  15. No Lamar? That’s interesting.
  16. You don’t get it, all other young QBs are trending down whereas Allen is only going to keep getting better. If there’s one thing we’ve learned from watching Bills QBs it’s that they always get better.
  17. Because Josh Allen is the greatest and there’s no chance another young QB could turn out better.
  18. After this season (assuming we play 16 games) and not including the playoffs, Allen will have played in 44 games and started 43. I think that’s a reasonable enough sample size to have a good idea of what we have with him. He’s had consistent coaching, a top defense backing him up and now has a great receiving unit. If he’s going to establish himself as one of the leagues best QBs then I’d say it has to be now. If not then I say the chances of it ever happening are pretty slim.
  19. How many games, attempts or years does it take before we stop calling him a project?
