  1. The cops need to pay for their Zamboni machines some way. http://rare.us/story/14-absurd-things-police-can-buy-under-asset-forfeiture/
  2. Despite having a black president as the leader of the free world, race relations in this country has gotten WORSE. When you got groups calling a rodeo clown wearing a mask a hate crime, we have issues.
  3. Pretty cool. Recorded what he was REALLY looking at at 2:26.
  4. I know you were joking, but there is also some potential truth there if you really think about it.
  5. With Spiller coming into his own, a capable game manager behind center, a solid O line, and new additions on the D line and corner, I thought we were going to push to make the playoffs. What we got was crap, especially on D. This year, honestly, with a potentially explosive offense and and aggressive D, I won't be surprised if we finally make that push. With green talent from HC to QB, I also won't be surprised if we get only 3 or 4 wins. Probably not alone in my ambivalence.
  6. He also had a cannon arm and was a good quarterback who broke records. (P. Manning is Herman Munster too) Last guy btw that brought us a scent of the playoffs.
  7. The best guy will be chosen. FWIW, Tuel played against third / fourth stringers (like himself) and soon-to-be truck drivers and benefitted from a defense worn down by an offense that played 15 more plays on average than any other NFL team. We're in a good situation. Both rookies look above average, and our veteran we already know is serviceable. I think he actually might be slightly better than Fitz who we know will be a solid backup. I have a good feeling about both of these rookies. They just seem to have IT, EJ especially. Can't describe it. It's there though.
  8. Teams tend not to game-plan for preseason games. Fact: There is NO correlation between preseason success, or failure, with regular season success, or failure. This is a good start, nothing else. Not to crush hope, or to buoy it.
  9. Marspeed Goodwin Morespeed Goodwind
  10. Cue the obligatory "I don't care what they wear as long as they win" response...
  11. Good question, and I think it did. Fitz had one of the quickest releases in football. This line was built to open holes, and the O was built to create horizontal space quickly. Losing Levitre makes it even worse. EJ/Kolb/Tuel will be under a lot of pressure this year I think. Maybe Hacket's no huddle uptempo O will also mask deficiencies. We can hope. Agree. His offense the past two years was exciting. It seemed as if we were constantly moving the chains, even though our TDs were average, and our No. 2-4 WRs were below average. The big flaw obviously was Fitz' inability to throw deep and Wanny's vanilla schemes. I guess you could also fault him on under-using CJ, but I think the offense performed pretty well last year.
  12. God forbid the face masks get "out of hand." Who knows what will happen then.
  13. Excuses, excuses. Like you have to breathe to cover football or something.
  14. Pretty soon, smiling will be excessive. Let em play, and have fun. Fine only if it delays the game or is in poor sportsmanship. Nothing wrong with a quick endzone dance.
  15. I think it's fair to say we can bury the following phrases: 1. We live and die with our Front 4. 2. Fit it up.
  16. AstroBot. His camp reports are incredible.
  17. Just wait until you see what a bad tipper he is.
  18. I'm going to try to have low expectations ... throughout the entire season ... but that is really tough for this eternal optimist. Only can think of two years in which I thought we'd be horrible. Both years we were like 5-1. Then, I got my typical optimism back, only to get crushed by typical Bills crash and burn suckitude. Every other year for the past decade-plus, I thought we had a 10-win team from the get-go, then got a rude awakening with the usual. The moral: You'll almost always be pleasantly surprised when you have super low expectations.
  19. NY could easily be the least free state in the union.
  20. RI, here we come. I'll make sure we bring a cap gun, rope, beer, pipe, toothbrush and toothpaste with us. For the record, I kind of agree with the not biting the leg off of another person ... although that could be covered under general mutilation or assault.
  21. Ha ha. The Big Gulp ban is done. A court overruled Bloomberg. I could do an entire season on NYC and never even mention soda. But Bloomberg might give me a stern finger wagging if he does see me with one.
  22. And mods (SDS): This isn't an advert, I'm not making any money off this, and this is a political show on a political forum. Thought everyone here would appreciate it. If there is a better forum for this, please let me know.
  23. Have 12 episodes mapped out, and am well aware of that book, and need to get it. Will order it t-nite. Thanks.
