You might as well blitz on every down if you are the Bills because if the pass comes out, there is always someone open in the Bills soft zone. -

That is such an important TD after the Lions fumble . 7 point swing and gut punch to the Lions momentum! -

More BS defense on 3rd and long! -
The point people on here made at the time was that the returner did not properly declare that he was killing the play. Under the old rules, you always had to take a knee to kill the play in the past 10? years it became like a waving motion to indicated that you are not returning it. The returner did neither and technically that should have been a TD. A 20-0 lead might have been nice at the start of the 2nd half!!

Shocked to see Colt McCoy still in the NFL. 36 now!

Week 12: Bills at Lions on Thanksgiving
Livinginthepast replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills have been great on Thanksgiving in the McD era. I hope it continues on Thursday. I think I might still have some lingering PTSD though from the last time in Detroit on Thanksgiving! -
That 8-0 loss snow storm game was extremely distasteful when I watched it live. When I went back last week to see the highlights and noticed that Derek Anderson was the Brown Qb who defeated us, I was even more appalled!

I would be interested to see the analytics on the officials and how likely they are to call penalties in that situation. You are probably right that the defense who got burned on a bad call might lay off on smothering coverage just in case. I would argue that would be the time as a defensive coordinator to really double down on borderline illegal or full on dirty tactics. What do you have to lose? the Chiefs are probably going to score and refs are inept and wont call everything. You might as well resort to full on cheating at that point.

Watching Kelce against some of these Dbs is liking watching 8th grade basketball, where the kid who was shaving and is 6ft2 is manhandling everybody on the court on his way to scoring 50pts. Its just seems so unfair. But at the same time teams are just moronic about defending him or even disrupting his skills with any kind of out of box defending. Its like they just give up. Why the Chargers didnt double team him on the last drive or jam him at the line is just nuts. Surely there is some way to consistently stop him.

Just watched the DVRed 2nd half. Had a great feeling with the Chargers in front with less than 2 mins. Slight nagging stress that the Chiefs and Mahomes would get close to a TD but watching that last drive was supremely nauseating. The defensive holding which was incredibly ticky tack just like so many called this year and then leaving Kelce WIDE OPEN on the TD pass?? No Jamming at the line? Idiots!

More injuries than in any year I can remember in the last 40. The big question is why this year??

Bills Dbs have to get better at separating the receiver from the ball and/or knocking it down. Their coverage seems to be very slack this year which would be tolerable if they could break it up once the receiver has touched it but they dont seem to do that. Best play today was by Poyer doing that but the rest dont seem to have the timing or the forearm strength. Ive given up on these backups ball hawking as they dont turn to the ball with regularity! So many issues (including today) could have been avoided with some more aggressive breakups. We desperately need Trey back!

Ive heard of "painting the town red" but thats a bit much!! Yikes, I guess you should be packing and wearing a kevlar vest in some of these neighborhoods!
