He has always been a good coordinator but not a HC.

How confident are you the Bills beat the Bengals?
Livinginthepast replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm more confident facing the Bengals this week than I was back on January 2nd. I had a bad feeling we would be mauled in that game and that was before DH's injury. Now I think we are better position to defeat them. Home field will be the difference here and if we can finally put together a complete game for a 4 quarters with a good pass rush, Burrow will be exposed as the statue in the pocket he is. -
The media get hot and cold on the Bills depending on when the wind blows. I dont care if they made mistakes or that Josh in unpredictable. What worries me is when they are going to peak. I still think we havent seen the best of this team yet and even without Miller they can win it all. They are better with the intangibles than Cincy.

I knew the name, but reminded myself of Blanda by reading the Wiki article. What an amazing career that guy had! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_Blanda

I thought Brady coming back to tie the Rams last minute in that playoff game was a great way for Brady to end things but Tom just couldnt get past his own ego for another championship and unretired. In the end, I think this season tarnishes his legacy at least a bit. He really started to look like every other post 35 year old QB this year and esp last night.

Wow I just cant get enough of them showing Jerry Jones and entourage in his box seats, seeing them celebrate every Dallas score is so emotional and riveting! Must see TV.

Rules question: Illegal block to the back
Livinginthepast replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall
Sorry if someone else mentioned this in the thread but there was also a significant uncalled blind side block on Milano in yesterday's game. You know the kind that caused us to lose the game against the Texans 3 years ago. Milano looked like he got hit pretty hard, enough to give himself a shake when he got up. I'm all for the officials letting them play but at least have some consistency. The contacting the kicker call on the Cinci punter in the 4th Q was an absolute joke. The Kicker totally faked it. Then the Cinci kicker tried to do it again on the next punt. Gesicki yesterday was also faking. Is there no penalty for this kind of dbaggery? Unsportsmanlike conduct? -
Rules question: Illegal block to the back
Livinginthepast replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall
On the Dolphins last TD drive, the play where Waddle takes the handoff. Poyer cannot make the full tackle because he gets body checked from behind near the goal line by a Miami player with no call. The Cinci TD is not quite as bad but still a block in the back. The Officials so far in the playoffs have been their usual mediocre to terrible quality. -
NFL greed and when will you turn it off?
Livinginthepast replied to Back2Buff's topic in The Stadium Wall
Normally wouldn't care about game length but yesterday's Bills game was a ridiculous length. Combine that with the stress and the some of the frustrating play by the Bills and the overall experience was not pleasant. -
The Ravens.... OMG what a tease. On the 2 yard line, a chance to take the lead and then that stupid fumble happens. I wouldnt have tried that play with an inexperienced QB. Then Cinci get the benefit of their punter faking contact to get a penalty in one of the worst acting jobs on contact, Ive ever seen. Of course the gullible refs buy it and give them that call in a playoff game? That killed another few mins of the game for Cinci. (He actually tried to do it again on the next punt!). The final play on the Hail Mary and with their best receivers on, season on the line and the ball deflects right to the Baltimore player (at slow speed no less) and all he does is do a clumsy paw at the ball?? ARRRRGHHHHH!!!

Next to the Bills mega losses of the past (SBs, Homerun throwback, 13 secs) this has to be one of the most stressful and stomach churning frustration game Ive ever witnessed the Bills play. I feel awful. -

Cmon Dorsey, figure this out. -
Before the Atlanta collapse in the SB, I never thought a collapse of even 17 pts was possible in the playoffs. But the Chargers didnt just lose the game on the field their collapse was mental. How a team can let another team off the mat like that without applying the dagger to them is absolutely nuts. The Chargers literally panicked and played a perfect game for a Jags comeback in the second half. Sure the plays weren't made and stupid plays were (Bosa esp) but I think that is all on the Staley not preparing his team at the half and not taking chances with the playcalling on Offense in the 2nd. Absolutely outcoached by DP.

I thought Al had a "YUGE" performance tonight! Actually, I was glad the game became interesting for him considering the stinkers he has had all season. Etienne's name is old school French so I guess Et tee en would be the way to do it.

As soon as the Chargers couldnt get it done on their last offensive series I knew this was over. Staley if he had any balls or brains should have faked the punt on 4th down and ran the ball. Its not like it would have made any difference if they had failed. By the middle of the 4th, the Chargers D was gassed and Bosa mouthing off to the refs insured that they were not going to get any holding calls or breaks. It amazes me that these coaches are so useless in the moment.
