  1. Haha!! Thanks for including me.....and for the chuckle How about I go on record and designate either Buffalo NY or Watertown NY ?? Buffalo being home of the Bills and Watertown the closest US city to where I'm at? I've spent lots of fun time in both.. Flip a coin.....I'm good with either man!
  2. I hail from pretty much the opposite of Buffalo's relation to Lake Ontario...North and East. A small town north of Kingston ON. I do happen to have a number of good American drinking buddies tho if that counts for anything?!

  5. Hi everyone, I rarely post but others have encouraged me to try....I did a search on related topics but didn’t find any, sorry if this is in the wrong spot….here goes…… Yes there’s lots of negativity and uncertainty on the board heading into the 2014 season...things pretty much sound wrote off..…I’d say lately my confidence in the Bills was about at 25%. Here’s a bit about myself and a happy random experience that kind of refreshed my positive outlook being a Bills fan. Quick background: last weekend our neighbors at the family cottage (back lake north of Kingston Ontario) won a radio contest to have a local band play in their back yard for a Last Summer Bash Party. The band is called The Glorious Sons….they are an up and coming rock band and a pretty big deal up here in Canada.I have about 3 Bills jerseys in my wardrobe that I wear as part of my regular after-hours rotation. Before heading to the lake I threw on my white Bruuuuccce Smith jersey as its one of my favorite beer drinking shirts. Long story short, that evening the band absolutely rocked….after a few hours of beer drinking and live music and all the encores the lead singer left the stage and mingled over our way and walked right up to me and stuck out his hand and said “Man you’re a Bills fan?! I love the Bills!” We both had a bunch of pops in us but we ended up exchanging a couple quick hi-fives over the Bills and how much we love the team and looking forward to the season. It wasn’t a long conversation as he was a busy guy but I thought it was pretty cool that a younger Bills fan in his position would make a point of coming over to say “Hey” like that. I admit that something simple that simple pumped my tires up and my Bills Fan Confidence was back up to about 75%. It reminded me being a Bills fan was more than what happens on the field. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love a winner for once too, but at the same time, no matter what happens on the field I’m glad to belong to such a loyal group of passionate people. I am sure by the time I roll into the RV parking next Saturday morning for the home opener my Bills Fan Confidence will be maxed to 100% and I’ll be happy I’m there! Just wanted to bring up a positive topic not related to the game tomorrow….I’ll be glued to the TV in the garage with the smoker rolling. I am sure there are others on here who’ve have had their Bills jersey work for them randomly in public….if anyone has other random Bills fan stories to share please do! And if you’re curious youtube The Glorious Sons…those dudes wail ☺ Go Bills!
  6. Don't post often but check the site for news and chatter pretty much daily year round!
  7. It is and always has been a 100% chance the "JBJ/Toronto" group's end game is to move the team to Toronto. Whether that is right away or someday down the road. Especially with people from MLSE involved with their money grubbing hands in the pot.....As a life long leaf fan these are the last people we need overseeing the Bills. The Bills team, games and everything they stand for would be turned into a circus, all for the sake of the bottom line. That said I am sure this group does have the cash and is seriously pursuing the sale and trying to win. I live in Canada at the far end of the lake and Toronto is 2+ hours closer to home, but the team belongs in Buffalo NY. I happily drive to Buffalo a few times a year for the Bills experience. Please don't sell the Bills to this joke of a group....or anyone else who'd ever move this team from where it was born and where it belongs!
  8. Don't want to trade up unless its a steal....we need our second round pics, especially if we can land another starter like we did last year. So realistically at 9 I'd say one of the top OT's if they fall, or Ebron then OT in the second. If we can trade back and still get Ebron, then all the better.
  9. On a family vacation to myrtle beach.....I have the #78 jersey and a box of BLL's watching pre-game....I'd rather be at the Ralf but the wife wanted the beach for some reason. We'll probably watch the game at hooters since I am not sure where else to go around here. GO BILLS!
  10. If anything it was a fun off season and there was lots to read on this board to get thru the summer. I look forward to Bill's posts as well as many other of the Regular Posters and their replies on here daily. Can't wait for Sunday! Go Bills!
  11. I don't post much but I definitely check in every day at least once for a read
  12. Building thru the draft and signing home grown talent is a proven key to success in every pro sport, right? Out of all the arguments to keep Buddy around, him signing both these key, proven cogs has to be one of the top. Two of my favourite Bills. Lots of variables in the business, but I hope they can somehow ink both.
  13. Hey Reed, same 14th Bday for me too buddy...and #1 on my list. #2 - music city forward pass: at a bar and drank in silence the rest of the night #3 - last years steeler's loss: at the ralph and had to listen to my bro inlaw all night in the rv park
  14. I had my heart set on Kuechly, but it wasn't to be. Personally its hard to get excited about drafting a CB, I think the last coach/gm ruined that for me. But from what I read, Gilmore sounds like a safe choice and here's to hoping he's that impact player for us for years to come! I just hope we're not developing another top DB for some other team to scoop up in 4 years….as it feels like we've been doing for the past decade. Go Bills!
  15. YES! Happy New Year's TBD from Kingston Ontario
  16. Plus he's got his own jingle....and that song is classic!
  17. I am also a Canadian Bills fan, about 4.5 hours away from the Ralph. I've been making a trip for 1-2 Bills games a year for the past 12 years or so, and I can speak for myself and a number of other Bills fans that thought Toronto is 2 hours closer, the vast majority of us have ZERO interest in attending a game in Toronto. There is absolutely no comparison in the atmosphere inside and outside the stadiums between the Ralph and Rogers Centre. If anything, most of us feel alienated and insulted that this is nothing more than a cash grab by a greedy corporation that we refuse to participate in. You can make an overnight trip to Orchard Park for the same price as a ticket in Toronto. And we blame Rogers for that, not the Bills. The reason there are more opponents fans at the games is because they are all people who would never get to see their teams otherwise. The real Bills fans around here head to the real deal Bills Country to get our fix. If the prices were more comparable would that change things? Perhaps, but there is no way you could ever confuse the two, when you're at a game at the Ralph you know you're at an NFL game. Toronto has a lot to learn about the NFL. I don't blame you guys for being upset about them taking away one of your home games either. Anyway, I read a lot here, don't post much, but though this was a worthy topic. Here's to the Bills staying where they are forever! Lets Go Buffalo!
  18. I'll never forget where I was while watching that game....dark little watering hole named dailey's cafe'. Was a big flutie supporter at the time...but either way it was such a shame....that was our year to go the entire way.
  19. Hi everyone, long time reader and bills fan... On a side note, does anyone have any info about overnight parking around the stadium this weekend? Due to some family stuff the brother in law in I have to take a seperate vehicle down and are hoping to find overnight parking for sunday and crash with my regular buddy's in the rv lot. I asssume there is no overnight parking in the regular lots. From the RV lot I usually watch in amazement as the workers clean up the main lots later in the evenings. I did a search and found reference to Hammer's Lot, is this a possibility still? What about private lawn parking? Could that be another option? This is my brother in law's first game in buffalo so I'd like to show him a good time. I've been a long time fan and been to a dozen or so, but I've always stayed in the rv lot or had a sober driver so overnight parking has never been somethng I've had to figure out yet. Any advice would be helpful....keep up the good posts guys! PM
  20. I agree that we need to build thru the draft...but I would have felt better if he had said "build thru drafting correctly". At least acknowledging its not just the players on the field that need to be held accountable. oh well...at least he made a public comment about things...
  21. Watch...Ralf will live to be 100+ and get the last laugh at us all!
