  1. My gut tells me that the division as a whole will be much improved and when its all said and done, one of the top divisions in football this year. That may play into why nfl.com is projecting to finish 4th
  2. I agree here. If I am Pegula, I look to extend Whaley and his team. Brandon would require taking a closer look. Nothing personal, but his background is Marketing. Since he was elevated higher in the organization than Marketing, the Bills have not had a season where they won more than 6 games. I would have to take a hard look at that. Option could be to have Brandon move back to run Marketing and hire a True Football Man as Team President.
  3. "I am going down..........in a blaze of glory.........take me down, the golden shutes........................."
  4. I live in Philly and tend to agree with your point. The sports complex here in Philly I personally (maybe selfishly) think is pretty stellar. The difference between the Philly Sports Complex and what is planned for Buffalo was transportation and road access already in place with no need for any major changes to interstates. But changes to interstates for the betterment of an area of a city like Buffalo I am a strong advocate for. About 14 years ago me and old friend had an very interesting email exchange about WNY and why it was struggling, depressed economically, etc and compared it to Charlotte, Austin, Boston, Philly, etc. The biggest reason people thought was the weather. I never believed weather caused an area to decline economically. My view was at the time WNY did not have the correct formula to keep the well educated college grad's from leaving to find prosperity elsewhere. From what I am reading and have read, I sense that the Buffalo and WNY rebirth has a lot to do with the Medical technology Investments, Call Centers, among others. Buffalo and WNY have found the a piece of the formula to keep its precious assets - students, in the area. You now add this very ambitious stadium plan with redesigned downtown area which should stimulate further growth, there are more reasons for students to stay and for transplants to say yes Buffalo is an area I would relocate back to.
  5. I thought EJ's mechanics looked pretty good here. Not really worried about the batted pass's. He needs to work on looking off defenders. 2 or 3 of the passes should have been pulled in for receptions. Hall of Fame game. No harm no foul.
  6. Bon Jovi's letter in the news way, way to late. He should have been advised better to get in front of the backlash from Bills Nation. I mean, really JBJ? Really? You really thought by simply partnering up with folks to buy the Bills that you would be welcome with open arms? Like I said, you should have been advised much better. Your letter and any vote of confidence about not moving the Bills if you lead the winning bid should have been published the same day you announced you were inputting a bid. Even then however with who you decided to dance with Bills Nation still would have not trusted you.
  7. I hope the sentence is reduced by a lot. I actually have him in an auction keeper league where you can resign players to 1,3,5 years with roughly 10% - 13% raises each year for 3,5. His salary was $1M last year, so I want keep him on a 5 year deal, but not if he is suspended.
  8. Houston comeback. Game was not on local TV so we had to find a local pub that would carry it. I went home at the end of the 2nd half then listened till mid way through the 4th qtr with my parents (both now in heaven) then went back to the pub for the end of regulation then OT.
  9. Regarding Trent Edwards, remember Monday Night vs Dallas! Jaws was raving about TE, then the veyr next play, boom, interception that was almost returned for a TD.
  10. Until EJ and the Hackett prove they belong and that they can win, the Bills wont see any true love. Not really surprising. What is surprising is realizing how bad the bottom half of the AFC has become. I remember about 7 - 11 years agao, the same was true for the NFC. But still.......wow. I am interested to see where the Jets land. Hate to say it, but they have quietly stockpiled a lot of good young talent on defense.
  11. I wish Sammy was our Offensive Coordinator.
  12. Not volunteering what I feel the intent of the original message was, my view and I shared this the afternoon the blew the KC game. "Why even put the 3rd string QB in that position to make the most critical play of the game????" Why? I have felt since game 1 last season that yes is JV. So think about this. Last year our JV OC had to go toe to toe with the following Defensive Wizards: Belichick x2, Rex Ryan x2, LeBau, KC D Coordinator, Mike Zimmer, Cleveland's D Coordinator (who is now with Tennessee, forgot his name), etc. You get the picture. Two words - outmatched, outclassed.
  13. Wow. Not really sure where this is coming from. Golisano cheap owner? I dont agree with that. When you have a less than stellar GM paying money to the wrong players from 07 - 10, you then get a crappy product. Rieger had the Sabres salary total in the top 10 for each of the last four seasons while Golisano was owner (I am looking for the article as we speak). I remember tracking this each year. I believe (not confirmed) that Larry Quinn had a lot to do with the contract shenanigans that occurred with Drury and Briere.
  14. YES!!!!! on your GM comment. Golisano wasnt cheap. Sabres had a top 10 salary roster from 06 - 09. GOlisano wasnt the problem. Rieger definitely was. All I ask is for Larry Quinn to please sit on the sideline and dont come near this bid opportunity.
  15. Both are right near entry's to major interstate's. I have attended multiple Ravens games and its so cool to tailgate on streets, in store parking lots, awesome environment. If downtown were to be considered for the Bills, need to have multi access to the 33, 190 N and S, and Rte 5 as well.
  16. Good pick for the Bills. Have done a very nice job in rounds 1, 2. This T is going to fit right in. We needed someone with his aggressiveness and temper cause of the young and big D line man in our Division. I like the pick. I think EJ, CJ, F JAX are going to like him better. Keep this young keep happy fellas cause he is going to be here a long time.
  17. I agree there will be more moves. In addition to Stevie, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if the Bills are again approached about a deal for CJ. With CJ headed into the last year of his rookie contract and with how many other playmakers we are adding to the fold, CJ for a #1 (a stretch I know) or for multiple #2's would do the trick. I see the Bills landing one of the three targeted Tackles with their 2nd rounder.
  18. Great move. When its all said and done, we will have not really given up as much as we think we did yesterday. Trading next year's 1 and 4 for the best playmaker in this years draft class................Great move. Hats off to Whaley on this.
  19. Make sure you turn your smart phone off when you say "I do".
  20. If I am the 49ers, I would cut ties right away. You just cant have this type of immature / mentally unstable behavior associated with an organization. If the report is 100% true, then he should receive the maximum sentence. If Plaxico can go to jail for shooting himself, then Aldon most certainly can go as well. There is no way I would pick him up if I am the Bills.
  21. I saw the movie. My review - Well done. What I liked the most is how Kevin Costner (GM for the Browns) stayed 100% authentic throughout the entire movie, through the scenes that were extremely stressful, everything. I liked it. FWIW - there are at least two members of the Bills Front Office in the Movie. Maybe three. I recognized one other besides Russ for sure.
  22. At the time and for where we drafted him, Travis Henry. Until of course he completely fell off the cliff with so many personal issues.
