I personally don't think the Pats D is as good as the national media thinks it is. They were lucky to get past us, having a rookie QB and Singletary out, as mentioned. Let's see what happens when they play Dallas, Philly, and KC. They'll drop a few.

Yes, the timing may be near perfect as far as the schedule goes, but the team isn't quite there yet. I'll say this - it hinges on Josh; if the light turns on and he becomes Mahomes-like, then the SB is not out of the question. I don't think that will happen.

The one that could happen is injuries; Josh could get a season ending injury against Miami in two weeks. It is a risk you take. Plus most of the current starters on offense are in the first year in Buffalo, including the rebuilt line. These guys need to gel a little bit more. Josh also needs more time to develop, he's not quite there yet; that is evident just by watching the games. Defensively, we're close and probably need a DE/edge rusher. Next year is a lot more realistic to expect a deep run in the playoffs.

I'd like to keep Shaq Lawson, he's been improving each year and is an all down DE right now. Like others pointed out, if we can sign Shaq in the Trent Murphy range, do it. If he wants Clowney money, have to let him go.

Didn't think this needed its own thread, but Dan Snyder is reportedly targeting Mike Tomlin as the next Redskins HC. Not sure how Tomlin would be lured away from Pittsburgh, though many Steeler fans wouldn't be unhappy seeing him leave. Again, who in their right mind would want to coach for Dan Snyder? Great post. I'm starting to come around to what McD has been preaching. And yes, it applies to him and the coaching staff. Better game management, aggressive coaching and playing to win, not just protect a lead. Good stuff. This was a game the Bills had to win since it will undoubtedly factor into late season playoff scenarios and seeds. The Bills took care of business. We needed this early bye to heal up. I hope the team can get and stay healthy during the longer post bye. Yes, this is a different team than years past.
