  1. Yeah, some of these analysts might believe it, but I think they say that stuff to grab attention
  2. I don't think the team has to peak or earn their dues, so we are in agreement there. I do think there are a couple of pieces missing (another DE and DT for sure, possibly OT, possibly WR1), and some that are currently present and need further development (Josh). I don't think we're far off, the team needs to gel a bit more, especially on offense. Can this team beat KC as it is right now? Not out of the question, but not an automatic either. I hear you with the timing thing with regards to schedule; unfortunately that can't be controlled. They'll be ready when they're ready. That said, the NFC West looks to be a monster next year. No clear powerhouse this year so far in the league as a whole.
  3. Let's see how Duke Williams pans out. He has WR1 makeup - 6'3" 225 lbs.
  4. Don't watch the pre game shows, they've been bad for a while. I do watch the NFLN during the week, that is where you can get some good info.
  5. I agree, especially with the anticipation of Devin Singletary coming back healthy. They'll stay with the personnel in place. Additionally, I think Daboll places more emphasis on the WR and TE positions, especially when the offense completely unfolds as Josh is able to process it.
  6. Robert Kraft appeared on the NFLN pregame show Thursday night and was talking about Gronk. Kraft said he has not filed Gronk's retirement papers with the NFL yet. There is a chance that Gronk just wanted a year off.
  7. As long as the Bills treat the Dolphins like a professional football team, they shouldn't have any problem. Just don't take them lightly, like it is a scrimmage; I don't see McD or the rest of the team falling into that trap.
  8. The bolded is an interesting thought, and runs contrary to what many on this board feel. Tre is a very good corner, though I think I would stop short of elite. Don't get me wrong, he makes some great defensive plays in a position that is difficult to play, but he gets beat very badly other times. Levi Wallace might be the better corner at this point. That could change, but right now I'd take Levi over Tre. Like you said, fortunately there are a few years, and the rest of this season, to sort that out and see how good Tre really is. I'm not sure I'd want to break the bank re-signing any CB; the money is better spent on the front seven. I would want McD and Beane to do all they can to keep Poyer and Hyde; that is critical for maintaining a well run defensive backfield. I'd place priority on the safeties over the CBs, thought I'm just a fan and could be very wrong in my take.
  9. I harvest that stuff, send it to Kraft (not the owner) and they make blue cheese dressing out of it. You all really seem to like it.
  10. Cheese is mold...I guess that's right. No wonder I have gas. If peasants put ranch on anything and they look like this^, I'll take it!
  11. I'm sorry. I feel bad for you.
  12. Pizza is best simple, NY style crust (wheat preferably) with cheese...and ranch. None of this caramel or gondola stuff. Gondolas take skiers up a mountain, not for pizza. None of your Bidness!! That's what we say here in Texas...
  13. All good! Great minds think alike ? Seriously, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks we're still a little ways off on offense and defense; more so offense. One aspect that isn't being discussed is special teams. Is it me or does it seem like Danny Crossman is still the coordinator?
  14. Bye weeks are worse than being forced to eat chicken wings with blue cheese dressing...yuck. Try putting blue cheese dressing on pizza, can't do it. Why eat mold, anyway? Looks like stuff you find in between your toes.
  15. This is a dominant defense. I think they are a good DE/edge and another DT away from elite. I mentioned DT because Star has to start doing more than occupying space, even on the 30-40% of the snaps he's on the field. Everyone should be collapsing the pocket and making the QB uncomfortable. As of now, they're the strength of the team and have carried them to 4-1 (and nearly 5-0) at the bye.
  16. Yes they do. Not sure how to drill Brady on those sneaks, or even how to stop them (QB sneak). The O-Line has such an advantage on QB sneaks.
  17. The 2000 Raven's D was probably a little better than ours right now. We have a very good D, but still a good DE (and probably DT, Star has to do more than eat space) away from that equivalent. Trent Dilfer was a more mature QB than Josh is at this point. Dilfer was a game manager who did not make mistakes, Josh will never be that and makes too many dumb mistakes at this time in his career. It would be nice to go to the SB this year, but I think it is probably too soon to expect that.
  18. "Important" is what you came up with, not what I expect from a panelist. I want a former player/panelist to give me insight into game situations and matchups, various players, and football insights, in general. Gronk isn't going to do this, outside of what he knows in NE. Sorry if no one is buying into "your boy."
  19. Gronk sounded better than I thought he would, but had nothing to add. I was expecting him to be somewhere in between a cave man and a rowdy frat boy, so he exceeded my expectations there. He came in as expected with his "content," which was nil if it wasn't about the Patriots.
  20. Zerovoltz is still around. Jeffismagic is gone; after the Bills passed on Mahomes, he couldn't take it any more and left after the draft. I remember the non stop lobbying for Mahomes...just relentless.
  21. It's free, at least it was when I read it.
  22. The Pats have beat up on sub 500 teams with bad offenses; before this game and not counting the Bills game, their opponents were like 1-17. Against us, they were lucky to get away with a win and were not at all dominant. I understand you play the games on your schedule, but all the drooling and great defense talk is beyond the pale.
  23. Agree. They're coming into a stretch where they could see a loss or two...hopefully.
  24. Yep. A lot of lazy "analysis" in disguise of fan boy and girl drool. A few get it.
  25. What a bunch of d-bags. I can't wait for someone to run the score up on Belichick and NE, no one would deserve it more.
