  1. Actually, Jerry Jones knows a good amount about football and how to run the team as the GM. He has put a good amount of talent on the team, both on offense and defense. Now why they haven't been more successful....not sure if that is a result of him being a little too 'hands on' as an owner/GM or Jason Garrett not being a very good HC. We'll soon see with Mike McCarthy.
  2. For the Jets, Wrex was their best HC since BB took over in NE. Now for us Bills fans, he was probably the worst, or very close to it.
  3. No doubt everything you have said about Kim wearing a headset are legit takes. I suspect (and really hope) she was just curious and wanted to see what goes on during a game. Otherwise, we become the NYS equivalent of the Washington Redskins, which is terrifying to think about.
  4. That is a good question, which I'm not sure of the answer. I am confident that the NFL does not want a lawsuit. This will be interesting.
  5. I doubt they care even a little bit about this and probably care even less about Buffalo.
  6. My guess would be zero. One would be too many and I doubt the NFL or NFLPA wants to deal with it, be it player, coach, official, and on.
  7. Do you really think Goodell wanted to investigate his buddy Robert Kraft? Patriots were going to skate through either way, and the Chinese flu just made things easier than Goodell could have hoped for.
  8. What you don't know is that he has Outlaw Country playing in the ear piece.
  9. Last year was the first full season that the Bills committed to Josh as the starter. He deserves more time, and ex GMs should see this.
  10. Probably just more out of curiosity than anything else. Doubt she’s making any football decisions; the Rex fiasco should still be clear in her mind.
  11. I do not believe the Bills are a SB contender this year, there are still question marks on both lines, as well as the QB. I like Josh and I think/hope he will be good enough to take the team to the next level. My larger concern is the the coaching staff, who I am not convinced is of caliber to take the team to the SB, or even AFCC.
  12. I think it is typical that first time violators get a break in sentencing. If the standard (if that exists in Roger's world) for a violation of rules/conduct is a 4 game suspension, making the penalty 2 games for a first time violation appears to be typical. Goodell is not going to drop the penalty for repeat violators.
  13. First violation. If Ed was a repeat offender your point might stand.
  14. That year they really didn't need a CB in the first round; they had Darby and Gilmore. Picking up Poyer and Hyde was a good move and was a much needed upgrade, though they were FAs. I think Hyde gets extended after this season, but it won't be a big extension; Poyer might be done after his contract plays out. They will want to make every effort to extend Tre, I believe, though I don't think he should set any new CB contract records.
  15. I think this is who McDermott is - DB is the most important position on the team and the defense revolves around the defensive backfield. That year Whaley was a lame duck and McD ran the draft; he knew less about offense than he does now, and he doesn't seem to know much about it now.
  16. Do you dip the Korean wings in anything (say, ranch) or just take them straight?
  17. I also doubt McDermott dictates the offensive approach. He gave Dennison enough rope to hang himself. Another poster commented that even if McDermott is not exactly enamored with Daboll, he didn't want Josh to have to learn a new offense. There could be something to that. I also think at this point in his career, McDermott doesn't know enough about offense (or SpT) to get heavily involved with them; he's not a Harbaugh, Belichick, or Payton. Disagree with your game management stance, I don't think they are overrated. Bad challenges translate into wasted time outs, which cannot be used later in critical situations. Poor clock management can cost points. Mistakes will be made, but McDermott hasn't proven to be particularly skilled in game management; the Houston game is an example, especially right before half time. Good point on time outs in critical situations to get a read on the opposing offense or defense formation; McDermott has done a good job regarding that.
  18. Addison signed a 3 yr/ $30M contract, with a little over $13M guaranteed, and he is 32 years old right now. He's probably not going anywhere until after next year. I thought Addison was a one year commitment, though other posters said that wasn't true, and they were right. He has put up typically 9-11 sacks and 19-27 solo tackles over the past four seasons. Not sure why a 2-3 year commitment was made on a DE 32 years old, that is about the time they hit a wall production-wise. Jefferson signed a 2 yr/$30.5M contract with a little over $6 guaranteed, and he is 27 years old right now. Jefferson can be cut after this year.
  19. None of those. Ranch and wings are like bread is to a sandwich.
  20. In the Southern Tier (Binghamton area)? No, I was born, raised, and graduated high school. I never lived in Buffalo, if that is what you're asking. People in Binghamton like wings, but there is not this odd penchant for blue cheese. Some people like blue cheese, others prefer ranch. I never found that having ranch on buffalo wings was odd, but actually preferred it.
  21. I've never heard of Rootie's blue cheese dressing, even when I lived in the Southern Tier. The only blue cheese I can get is Wish Bone, Ken's, Kraft, and some big grocery store chain's brand name. Plus the blue cheese I've had in restaurants isn't any good, either.
  22. Ranch is better than blue cheese. The only place blue cheese and wings are a thing is in Buffalo. Outside of that, it's simply personal preference. I suppose that can be an unpopular take.
