  1. I don't think we're ready for a SB run this year, so no, I wouldn't give away a first round pick in 2020 for a pipe dream in 2019. Also not real excited about a trade for Clowney; I suspect too many are over-rating him.
  2. Nsekhe Dawkins Morse Spain Ford Nsekhe filled in for Trent Williams in Washington as LT and did a good job. I don't see him as a RT; that is why we drafted Cody Ford. I think Dawkins loses the competition at LT but wins the LG spot. I think Dawkins needs a strong LG and C to appear to be an above average LT; without those he looks to be about average.
  3. All well and good, I now expect "The Process" to facilitate winning...sooner rather than later. Would also be nice if rushing the opposing QB is part of it, too. I have my doubts, but we'll see.
  4. I don't think Dawkins is on the hot seat, but probably will compete with Nsekhe for starting LT. If Dawkins loses out to Nsekhe, I imagine he will get a shot at LG or become depth and have a chance at further development at the position. From what I observed, and I'm just an average fan, that Dawkins is not good enough (at least at this point) to hold down the LT spot by himself. He needs a good LG next to him to be a more effective LT.
  5. I agree. Would like to see Beane move into the 4th to get one, if it makes sense to do so.
  6. Seems like he was primarily used as a blocker in Ole Miss. Knox made a statement about that and was frustrated by it, but did what he was asked to do. I can't imagine he'll be utilized as a Greg Olson type TE in Buffalo.
  7. I was hoping for an edge rusher, but if Singletary was BPA then so be it.
  8. Meh. Maroon is still the HC down there, so.....
  9. DET just traded back with NE, who is one ahead of us. Hope the Pats* draft a punter.
  10. I still wished we would have got Smith-Shuster.
  11. Zay's been trending up. Don't sleep on Zay.
  12. Rosen for a second round pick from Miami. Probably the best that could be done.
  13. I'll take VERY SOLID over flashy any draft. Can't wait for the third round.
  14. A few reactions from local and national sports media: https://www.democratandchronicle.com/story/sports/football/nfl/bills/2019/04/26/buffalo-bills-cody-ford-nfl-draft-trade-second-round-experts-positive-grades-mcshay-rapoport/3593927002/ Todd McShay, ESPN: "Why this makes sense for Buffalo, only Deshaun Watson was pressured more than Josh Allen." Louis Riddick, ESPN: "As far as the run game is concerned, this guy just destroys people and that's what Buffalo wants." Ian Rapoport, NFL Network: "The Bills traded up and take Oklahoma OT Cody Ford at No. 38. Surprised he lasted this long." Jake Trotter, ESPN: "The Bills grabbed Ed Oliver and Cody Ford... and their trenches just got a lot nastier." Joe Buscaglia, WKBW: The Bills signed a bunch of guys to their offensive line in free agency. The only sure thing is Mitch Morse. Cody Ford is now the second sure thing, whether it's at RT or at a guard spot." Pro Football Focus Buffalo: "Welcome to Buffalo Cody Ford. Ford allowed only 7 total pressures in 2018 and didn't allow a sack until the college football playoffs!"
  15. That would be awesome. Hope it works out this way!
  16. Could well be true. Though their FO claims they are not tanking.... Just like Indy didn't tank for Luck.
  17. Or ammo for trade up (if necessary) for Tua.
  18. Point taken. I'm guessing you wish we would have kept Stephon Gilmore?
  19. Concur. I'm a bit surprised, as well.
  20. Not aggressive against the run = can't tackle. Greedy better be as good of a CB as Deion Sanders.
  21. He's actually a good guy and a solid Bills fan. Joe just isn't looking at the big picture...
  22. And we brought in a wide out, slot receiver, and TE. So the skill positions were not neglected.
