  1. Yet it wasn't enough to carry Cutler who's defenses and special teams were ranked number 1 followed by years where they were top 4.
  2. The length of that contract is absurd but I'm sure there are some buyouts. Did I say the Bears are dumb?
  3. The Chicago Bears are really dumb. If I was a fan I would be furious. For sure. Apparently playing multiple seasons with the number one defense and special teams wasn't enough to carry Jay Cutlers offense. How did the Bears not win a superbowl?
  4. Lovie Smith is a good hire as HC and your suggestion seriously makes a lot of sense! Those two would be a good match.
  5. You do not need to keep close tabs on the Saints to make statements on situations which seem most plausible.
  6. Atleast kool-aid is a refreshing drink. What brand of snake-oil will Brandon whip up next offseason seems more appropriate.
  7. Crossmam ran the worst special teams in the NFL prior to be hired by the Bills. These results should be of no surprise.
  8. Yeah. It will never happen because Cutlers ego won't be able to take it but IMO his best scenerio to have success is to be the backup QB to Russell Wilson in Seattle.
  9. It's not about a WR core you have to worry about with Jay Cutler, he can get balls to receivers. It all boils down to the offensive line. He breaks down when his o-line breaks down. Cutler takes 7 step drops. The Bills can't protect that. For that reason alone he would be a horrible fit in Buffalo who have a below average offensive line in terms of protecting the QB. For some reason Hackett doesn't like rolling out QB's either which I thought would be a big part of the scheme with Manuel.
  10. Defense and Special Teams Rankings the last 5 years of the Chicago Bears Special Teams: 2013 - 11 2012 - 6 2011 - 1 2010 - 1 2009 - 4 2008 - 5 Defense: 2013 - 26 2012 - 1 2011 - 4 2010 - 4 2009 - 4 2008 - 7 With what these other two phases awarded Jay Cutler with, I would categorize what he accomplished with that team as a failure. The only outlier really being the 2013 defense.
  11. Yet Cutler and his offense was the worst of the 3 phases on that team. How fast we forget the other two phases of that Bears team where top 5 in the NFL as long he has been there.
  12. Chan Gailey is the one that enherited a raging dumpster fire of a football team. Marrone...not so much. While there are holes there is an excellent core of talent on this team.
  13. I agree with that, perhaps label him as slightly above average. I have watched a lot of Bears game and there are too many to count where Cutler played horrible (no protection from the o-line) and still won the game because of their defense and Hester scoring points on special teams. Not to mention all the great field position he gave their offense throughout those years too. Cutler is fools gold for the vast amount of teams in the NFL.
  14. Unlike QB's like Manning, Brees and Brady, Culter needs an above average to elite offensive line for him to play consistently well. Othwerise he is way to up and down. That being said Cutler would be a horrible fit in Buffalo with our personnel and his 5 to 7 step drops he likes to take in the pocket. He would get killed in Buffalo and would be an interception machine. That record is more due to playing on a team with a top 5 defense every year and the best special teams in the game (Hester scoring points) than Jay Cutler who has been very inconsistent and polarizing in his time in Chicago.
  15. Of all the players you listed I'd drop Byrd (Byrd has played fine though) on the list and add Kiko. I don't think either Dareus or Wood deserve to be in the pro bowl. If anyone deserves a pro bowl selection on the offensive line is Cordy Glenn.
  16. For some reason (dunno why) I thought he was with the Packers before he became headcoach. Thanks for the correction!
  17. Yes, I would define Marrone as being coy the week after leading to this Sunday's game against the Patriots. A big difference from when he declared EJ 110% to go the week before. The big difference between when Belichick is coy is that he is consistent and he never gives away too much information nor makes outlandish statements which contradict himself.
  18. 110% is a pretty bold and confident statement to make. That's the issue the people have I think. It just looks bad on our HC IMO. As the previous poster above said and I agree "its odd".
  19. This isn't imaginary...it did happen.
  20. That's only your opinion. Others disagree. Yeah but Brett Farve was their current starter at the time. Rodgers not playing was not a big deal. Our other options are Thad Lewis and Jeff Tuel. Big difference.
  21. Mike McCarthy are other examples...I'm sure there are more...its not the most popular avenue to get a HC gig but its not as rare as you think.
  22. I give 110% Mr. Trump! (you have to watch the apprentice to get this) RG3 knee injury was a lot worse I believe. I don't think it is an apples to apples comparison.
