With Hackett back in the booth, every shot to the bills sideline had Todd Downing. There was a lot more communiction going on than usual. Did anyone notice he was basically glued to Orton the entire game. I didn't notice much of that with Manuel prior?
Equally in-effective offenses.
Equally effective defenses.
Where there wasn't any parity in this game was with the kickers
Another spectacular performance from Dan Carpenter (he has been the best kicker in Bills history since he has been signed).
Another win for our/my favorite whipping boy in the off season Danny Crossman who is putting out an elite unit this year.
Greatest of all-time. Carpenter already had the best season as a Bills kicker in 2013 and is performing to that expectation this year and well Jim Schwartz and the Bills defense...you get my point.
Spiller can be an all-pro in a spread offense.
He is not RB you run up the gut and have rely on pass protection. That said he should have benched after the botched protection in the red zone.
It's party scheme, partly a one dimensional RB.
As probably the biggest Pettine fan on this board your assessment of Schwartz is spot on. I love how some of the players hoisted him up in the air after the game!!! The defense is why we won.
Sammy Watkins made a couple of nice plays but he is not GOAT at the moment. Carpenter is on pace for the best kicker in Bills history as is Schwartz and the defense. Carpenter I believe has already had the best season in Bills history in 2013.
But I still feel Marrone and Hackett are VERY inexperienced and shouldn't be in their respective positions in the NFL and Whaley has botched the QB position. This win hasn't changed my tune in that regard.
The bigger issues you should be thinking about is Doug Marrone, N. Hackett, the offensive line, our QB situation and how Doug Whaley botched assessing it.
He wasn't very good the second half of the season. Certainly one of the problems with the defense getting gashed for bulk yards in the run game last year.
Didn't you read the Jarius Byrd thread? A player suffering a freak injury (non-chronic prior) is the front offices fault. This should be a thread bashing Whaley and Brandon.
