Since spiller won't be on this team next year why not package Spiller + Williams for some offensive line help. -

It would be nice to have Stevie Johnson on this team right now. -
Mckelvin, Gilmore, not worthy; Buddy's picks
BuffaloBillsForever replied to rcatty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Neither are smart football players either. Gilmore plays soft coverage on a 3 second quick out with 6 seconds left in the half. This was one of the most egregious plays I have seen all year. Also, McKelvin and Gilmore play the man and NOT the ball on the deep balls. This is why they consistently get beat down field when it seems like they have good coverage, and why there are so many PI calls on the secondary. Same thing happened with Duke Williams yesterday as well. Our best CB is graham. -
Here are the highlights of the article. For the second week in a row, the Pats showed that reports of their decline have been severely exaggerated, scoring on their first four possessions of the second half to pull away from an overmatched and outcoached Bills team. Brady popped Pegula’s balloon and shattered myths – that he’s over the hill; that he can’t throw the deep ball anymore; that he can’t make quick decisions behind his current, subpar offensive line. Oh, and he punctured the idea that the Bills have some elite, dominant defense. Once again, when people desperately needed the Buffalo “D” to live up to its reputation as a top unit, it wasn’t up to the challenge. It’s not all on the defense, of course. Kyle Orton, in his second game as starting quarterback, turned into Kyle Ordinary. I can’t imagine Pegula was thrilled to see a journeyman in a shootout with Brady, knowing he doesn’t have a first-round pick in the next NFL draft. But the defense was supposed to lift them in tough moments. That’s why they benched EJ Manuel, right? Because their elite defense was capable of riding an average quarterback into the playoffs. Weren’t they supposed to be beyond such meltdowns? While they’re sorting it out, they might review the San Diego tape. This makes two straight home losses in which an elite quarterback cut them to shreds. Philip Rivers did it Week Three, getting the ball out quick and finding all the seams in the secondary. It was the same old Pats-Bills in Pegula’s debut. Brady is now 23-2 against the Bills. He played the way he did here on a Sunday night in 2007, when he passed for 373 yards and five TDs with no picks. Speaking of Mario, he was off the field for the first five plays of the Pats’ clinching TD drive. So was Jerry Hughes. Marrone said they were due to sit as part of the team’s defensive line rotation. The heck with the rotation. If I’m the new owner, I ask my head coach why I’m paying $18 million for a defensive player who’s not on the field for the biggest series of the day. http://www.buffalone...-brady-20141012

Myopic panic moves rarely work out in sports to appease the casual fan base or even worse moves to save ones job. Look who made the myopic herp derp trades at the baseball deadline (Beane and Dombrowski) and look who didn't. It's nice to see Baltimore and the Royals fighting for a chance at the World Series right now.

I'm just about done with Marrone and Hackett

Chip Kelly was a 1st tier college head coach and the Bills landed a 2nd tier college coach and a 3rd tier coordinator. -

Bills have a weak secondary

He is not the kind of corner for any defense in the NFL. -

Mediocre??? Doug Marrone on what he calls a miracle is going .500 in Syracuse. I guess if he can go 8-8 this year he can be canonized as St. Doug. -
Can we start the Rex Ryan watch?
BuffaloBillsForever replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rex ryan took an elite defense, elite special teams and a ground and pound offense with below qb play to two AFC championships!! -

No, you are not alone. Marrone and Hackett have been in over their head since day 1. -

Our current roster is shaped very similar to what Rex Ryan took to two AFC championship games. -
Bills have a weak secondary
BuffaloBillsForever replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The secondary is going to be the defenses undoing. They haven't played all year IMO and I think it's going to get worse as the season goes on. As I said numerous times McKelvin should not be on an NFL roster as a CB, Gilmore is average, Roby is undersized and there is no depth at safety. Our best secondary players are Williams and Graham. -
Bills #3 right now. I remember the Bills were the most penalized team around this point last year and they rounded out in the top 10 most penalized in 2013. I imagine most people wouldn't have known New England is only second to Steelers in terms of penalty count. New England is the most penalized team in the NFL in total yardage against them. In terms of beneficiary New England is in the bottom tier.

For 2 1st round picks I was at least hoping for a playmaker WR that can burn the secondary down field like what DeSean Jackson or AJ Green can do. It just is totally non-existent with Watkins. Whether it is Watkins or the coaches it doesn't make any difference, it still makes the pick bad...look at the other Clemson teammate

Had to listen to *Pats radio....
BuffaloBillsForever replied to Bronc24's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I dunno, I don't think it gets worse than listening to John Murphy's homerism of Leodis McKelvin and the Buffalo Bills.
