"Not to give any particulars, there wasn’t that much of a difference." (May 8th, 2014)
Doug Whaley when asked what was the biggest difference between Watkins and the next receiver on the board.
I agree with the Keenan (Tool, A perfect Circle etc) and Boyd (Incubus) choices but the only singer in this thread that can hit 6 octaves is Patton (Tomahawk, Dillinger Escape Plan, Mr Bungle, Faith No More etc).
I don't remember blow on the show even once. Marijuana, Meth (crank) and H. In terms of perscriped drugs that will get you high I remember adderall (season 3) being mentioned and Oxy (juice overdose).
You said you were giving up a low first round pick, is that a guarantee of the playoffs?
DW: That’s not a guarantee. I’m saying we expect it to be low.

When whaley goes on record that part of the rational he made the trade because it would be the move that would propel them to the playoffs. We can judge that. Whaley also stated the Browns pick would be a low 1st round pick. Not surprising, the nearsightedness that Whaley had for this trade didn't work obviously. The Bills currently have the worst offense in the NFL, we won't make the playoffs for the 15th year in a row and the browns 1st round pick could likely be a top 15.
Dynamic playmaker. That’s what this game is all about, making plays. This game is about making plays and surrounding our quarterback with playmakers. He’s automatically going to make our quarterback better and us better as a team. I do want to start this by saying this all goes back to Russ Brandon. He allowed us to make this move and he okayed it and was willing to give up the resources and future picks to go up and get a guy that we think will help us get to where we need to be.
Well that didn't quite happen this year Doug and Russ.
Great individual players, sure but it's a team sport and their individual contribution at that position means very little in the grand scheme of things.
Drafting WR's top 10 doesn't make much sense in today's NFL. It is fools gold. I believe there isn't a single one drafted in the top 10 that currently has won a superbowl. Most teams that draft top 10 WR's don't even make the playoffs. It's an over glorified position that relies heavily on finding the correct QB and finding WR's in the late 1st to mid rounds.
The Bills went all in on a WR and currently have the worst offense in the NFL and won't make the playoffs for the 15th year in a row. This trade currently isn't working out which Whaley banked on heavily.
I'm talking about bottoming out for the #1 overall. With all the seasons of losing they never managed to luck into that chance of an automatic franchise changing player. The Sabres are hoping for that right now.
I've always said one of the worst things to happen to Buffalo in the last 15 years is that they never bottomed out. At least the Sabres have finally realized this.
I haven't seen a single high profile WR in this thread win a superbowl yet. Majority are scratching at the surface to make the playoffs. You are behind the times.
Calvin Johnson, Aj Green, Julio Jones, Dez Bryant, Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Roddy White = 0 superbowls
Casuals need to learn that "high impact" WR's are not the answer to championships.
