  1. Makes sense, since the people are a lot more skilled in that expertise which are employed by a multi-billion business vs. the casual football fan posting on two bills drive from their home. Vegas preys on the casuals. It's how they make their money.
  2. From the shows inception Sutter has always maintained he knew what the final scene would be and how it was going to end, just didn't know the road that he would take to get it there. Like the majority of the shows I like, I usually am underwhelmed with the finales. I hope Sutter can surprise us all, but I doubt it.
  3. I'm not talking about the Bills. Just a general philosophy.
  4. I mentioned this before in another watkins thread. QB, o-line. Top two priorities. Then defensive (LB, NT, DE)
  5. That's not my position at all. My position is that I don't put a premium on the WR position (reaching in the draft, trading up, top 10).
  6. And sammy doesn't get assigned that "win" without those other players. Sammy didn't win anything. The team did.
  7. Except your assertion can be said about a dozen other players in those wins.
  8. Receiver wasn't a priority position for me personally with the Bills leading into this season.
  9. “That which can be asserted without evidence, can be dismissed without evidence.” - C. Hitchens The evidence to the contrary (what would the bills be with Beckham) doesn't exist. It's a silly point to make.
  10. Considering how dominate our defensive unit has been this year in pretty much every game, assigning wins to individual players is even more rediculous. Using that same rational we would have one less win without Chris Hogan and Scott Chandler and Sammy wouldn't have been responsible for that 3rd win. Really? Really!?!
  11. How about that extremely low % kick from carpenter in the detroit game or the 7-11 and chandler catch in the final drive of the minny game. The fact is football games don't come down to one player. We don't win any game without plays being made by 3 units consisting of 11 players each.
  12. What you are really saying is that plays are made by a team (several individual plays from several players) working in tandem with the rest of the unit throughout a course of a game that leads to wins.
  13. So who gets the win for the Detroit game, Sammy or Carpenter? How about Minnesota? 7-11, Chandler, Orton or Sammy? I hate that casual way of looking at wins. It doesn't exist.
  14. Receivers are also easier to replace than OL, CB's, DT's, LB's, DE's and TE's IMO.
  15. I really don't think there is a top 5 that is head and shoulders above another. It's a flooded position in the NFL with a lot of great players.
  16. The Percy Harvin that was out for the entire regular season. Brilliant argument. The overall Percy Harvin factor was miniscule to their successful season last year. They need players around them too especially a solid defensive unit if they want to win championships.
  17. It sure is a casual fan rationalization, because an individual player can't "win" a football game. Football isn't broken down that simple except to a casual eye. There are hundreds of variables in a single outcome of a game. The single player argument doesn't exist.
  18. I would say more like WR's are a dime a dozen in the NFL. IMO they are becoming more like the running back position. Definitely important but a position you do not need to reach for or draft really high in the 1st round. Not really.
  19. Football is not an individual sport. There is at least a minimum of 33 players/game that work in units of 11 in three different phases. To attribute wins to a single player based off a few plays in a game is a casual football fan rationalization as you can get.
  20. I guess the only thing Whaley got correct was that there wasn't a large difference between him (Watkins) and the next guy.
  21. I can name every NFL coach off the top of my head and yes I would take everyone of those guys listed above over Marrone.
  22. Harbaugh 1 Harbaugh 2 Carroll McCoy Arians Tomlin Kelly Mike Pettine McCarthy Reid Belichik Ryan Payton Fisher Smith Coghlin McCarthy Garrett Lewis Fox Philbin Gruden Whisenhunt I can get to 22 easily. 23 and 24th choice is tough as I don't think the rest are any better than Marrone. Marrone is essentially a bottom tier coach.
  23. When was the last time the Bills had 7 wins in week 12? #notshockedatbrowns2014success
