  1. Bob McCown just had a segment with Dave Wannstedt. Wannstedt basically went over that we were in a 43 base defense the majority of the time last year. He likes the 43 in terms of what you can do with defensive backs in the secondary as opposed to linebackers in coverage. It will be a heavy 43 hybrid. The team has 5 positional needs and if they can get the best player in the draft at the position it will improve the team drastically. He's been doing stuff at the combine, evaluating talent and even makes suggestions to Gailey and Nix on who he likes. GO BILLS!
  2. You have to look beyond the words. This is posturing at its greatest. Irsay is a master at this. Irsay is playing a public relations game in order to minimize his blame from the fan base because of Mannings departure.
  3. Lets assume Hines Ward is washed up as a WR. He still would bring in better production than a guy like Lee Evans, would bring leadership and would improve our run game out of passing formations with his excellent blocking (which Gailey loves to do). It wouldn't be the worst move ever.
  4. The decision of a Manning trade revolves around Manning himself. For there to be any discussion of a possible trade he would have to be willing to go to that team first. Polian wouldn't have to deal with Buffalo for manning because I'm sure he wouldn't waive his no trade clause to come here.
  5. Oh and btw, there is a BIG stipulation with Mannings contract that you left out and that he has a no trade clause. In this scenerio if he would get traded Manning dictates where he wants to go NOT Polian or Irsay. Buffalo wouldn't be one of the teams he would want to play football for in hopes of another title before he retires.
  6. Cool story. You high bro?
  7. HELL NO! Evans is garbage. If people haven't realized this yet, our GM thinks this too. He has just been politically correct about it IMO. Ain't gonna happen.
  8. Jacobs is always due for a great quote. Love this one!!! When you factor in the spygate cheating as well.... http://www.chron.com/superbowl/article/Giants-Jacobs-on-Pats-We-decapitated-them-3059136.php
  9. While making her way toward the elevator, Giants fans were harassing the supermodel, yelling, “Eli rules, Eli owns your husband.” She responded to her entourage. “You [need] to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball. My husband cannot [expletive] throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time,” she said in a video obtained by TheInsider.com. “I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.” http://itiswhatitis.weei.com/sports/newengland/football/patriots/superbowl/2012/02/06/a-frustrated-gisele-stands-up-for-her-man/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter Now its time for me to call out your husband. That throw that Welker dropped was equally Toms fault. A back shoulder pass you NEVER throw to a wide open receiver in space. That type of throw is to a covered receiver along the sideline. If you watch the replay Brady turned Welker around...catchable but really tough catch for a receiver that was WIDE OPEN. Now what do you have to say Gisele about the boneheaded throw down field pass to Gronk after he flushed away from the pressure. There is something called throwing the ball away. A jump ball to a TE with a high anke sprain...yeah really smart. DOH! Brady CHOKED in the big game as well.
  10. Great day! Belichick and Brady lose...AGAIN!!! Love it!
  11. Giants got really lucky on that drive in question. There was some confusion with LB's and Welker was wide open for a big play but dropped it. Game changer there.
  12. Fewell haven't you learned yet that you can't match your linebacker against Hernandez?
  13. Yeah. Nice play by the linebacker but that was one of the worst decisions Brady has ever made. Jump ball with a player with a high ankle sprain.
  14. DIME DEFENSE! Well it was 3rd and 8...SACK!!! Keep it up!
  15. The patriots are NOT a power running team. They will run more like they did last week against the Ravens dime defense. Ravens played it correct last week using a lot of dime. Patriots are destroying their linebackers right now. Total mismatch. Match speed instead of power on Hernandez. Gronk is a non-factor right now. Game over if they don't adjust IMO.
  16. It's Fewell who has not adjusted! Fewell should have seen this at halftime that their linebackers are getting pwned! Put a corner on Hernandez in a dime package. Fewell you are blowing it! Make the adjustment dude!
  17. The game has been very boring including the crowd so far and the halftime show is just awful...wow!
  18. Colingsworth made a great point about the Gaints should be using their dime package. Fewell hasn't made that adjustment and their linebackers are getting destroyed. Why is PP dropping into coverage? Is that a mistake by him or Fewell? Doesn't make sense in that situation. Fewell getting out coached right now.
  19. Awfully high numbers by the majority of you. You can keep my post #5 officially locked in. Good luck everyone and enjoy today's game! Go Bills!
  20. I really like artichoke and crab dip served hot. There are a lot of recipes on the web. You can mix and match recipes to get the ingredients you like. Canned artichokes work fine for this (just squeeze as much of the juice out). If you can find it, use lump crab meat over the "imitation crab".
  21. Good stuff. I'm too lazy but since your brought it up can you compute his inside the 20 and touchbacks as a %. I'd be curious how he ranks within the top 10.
  22. Inside the 20 stat means something and to an extent number of punts for proper context. Longest punt doesn't mean a damn thing and neither does total punt yards.
  23. OK. I just looked up some statistics on Moorman. So punt AVG he is ranked 6th. But from rank number 1 to rank 20 there is only a 6 yard difference. So punt AVG is a meaningless statistic. All punters can kick the ball far. The inside the 20 and touchback stat is interesting on Moorman and exactly what I thought from watching the games. He isn't even mid tier in this regard. He ranks among punters 24th inside the 20 (bad) and ranks 1st in touchbacks (bad). Ranking first in touchbacks means he can't pin his punts within the 5 yard line. This is the important field position battle. Moorman is very low in fair catches ranked at 29th so a lot of his punts are getting returned. So the fact he can't pin the team back or get a high fair catch rate is a very bad thing for our special teams. http://espn.go.com/nfl/statistics/player/_/stat/punting/sort/puntsInside20/seasontype/2
