  1. Stevie Johnson's is a poor mans Marcus Colston but that's a good thing. Johnson is certainly overvalued in the market for what he actually produces on the field but we really have no choice - we must resign him. He is the best WR we have had since Eric Moulds and we can't just let him go even if that means overpaying.
  2. I honestly think Stevie Johnson is done in Buffalo. My gut tells me. Wouldn't be surprised at all.
  3. Exactly! If you cut him, who do you replace him with? LOL! What people fail to realize is Merriman is actually a luxury to have with this current linebacker core. He comes cheap and is not hindering any youngsters at this position. We literally have no playmakers at LB with the exception of Merriman and Barnett. We also don't have the depth to cut players at this position that are under contract because you are afraid they might get hurt.
  4. Booger would have a point about Merriman if he was drawing a 6, 7, 9 million dollar salary but he isn't. He is a low risk, high reward investment. The point is Merriman is under contract and it is dirt cheap to keep him around. If he plays and plays well he gets his pay-day, win-win. Cutting him is the dumbest thing I have heard. If he does gets hurt next year, put him on IR and cut your ties with him. His contract would be done and the Bills would have lost nothing in the entire process. He is insignificant against the cap.
  5. Coughlin will be fired if they don't make the playoffs. Andy Reid there is a possibility (the modern day Marv Levy). Norv Turner a great chance especially if they don't make the playoffs. There is no chance Shanahan resigns. He would never give up that money and has WAY TO BIG OF AN EGO to ever do that. I don't think the owner would fire him at this point because of the contract.
  6. Playing in the weakest division in football, mediocre teams can pull of 10+ wins. Just look at kansas city last year. My money is San Fran getting blown right away in the playoffs. Don't get me wrong, the defense has played really well but I don't see the 49ers continuing this for multiple years. They are flawed offensively and the great teams in the NFC match up well to their defense because they are potent passing machines.
  7. The Packers were also really banged up that game especially in terms of the players protecting the QB. If they do have weakness it is their offense line but having 3rd stringers in there and guys rotated all over the place they showed they can be exposed. Your argument should be in context to a VERY injured Packers offense, KC dominated them. The Packers would beat them any other day.
  8. Cutting merriman is idiotic for these reasons. His base salary is low and probably guaranteed - incentive built on performance. If he plays well he gets paid. We have no depth at LB When healthy can rush the passer - something the Bills LB's can't do and defense as a whole. BIG PROBLEM. We don't have young stud LB's - who's performance would be hindering? He has and always be a low risk, high reward given his contract. Cap space isn't a issue We can't cut guys at this position because we are afraid they will get hurt. Ridiculous way of operating a team especially in an area were we are the weakest.
  9. Agree. And the single biggest factor is the quarterback position. This current NFL game is not the same as it was when the Ravens won the championship.
  10. Keep Merriman (he his still under contract btw) and let Parrish walk.
  11. They will end up meeting a high powered offense spread offense one way or another (Saints, Packers). Despite their record I don't think they are as good as their record shows. Surely their defense is all cracked up to what it is but they play in the weakest division in football. I don't think they match up well to either of these teams. Packers and Saints defense you can make plays on but they are opportunistic with turnovers. Having a great defense alone isn't enough to win championships anymore like it was in the past. The game has changed alot. I have a hard time thinking the 49ers will be able to beat two high powered offenses potentially like the Saints and Packers to get to the SB.
  12. I will take a healthy Packers offense over a healthy San Fran defense any day. The reason the packers lost is because of injuries. Playing 3rd string guys on their offensive line. I think that is more devastating than losing their #1 receiver. If they meet in the playoffs we will see who wins! My bet would be on the packers and winning big (they will have some of the guys back from injury at this point). However I still think the best team in the NFL is the New Orleans Saints right now with Drew Brees (I know the pack beat them week 1). I would rather have Brees over Rodgers.
  13. Tebow rushes for 175 the running backs rush for 135. So my prediction is the Bills defense gives up 310 total yards just in the run game next week. Go Bills!
  14. C.J Spiller and Brad Smith are the two biggest mind boggling ones for me. Gailey say's he doesn't believe Spiller can pound the ball 20-25 times per/game. WHAT!!!??? Brad Smith - ughhh this signing couldn't have worked out any worse Oh yeah the majority of the defense.
  15. The defense looked better in spurts, but the defense was still AWFUL today. I'm under the impression from the radio broadcast that Wanny was only calling the 4-3 defensive plays.
  16. Did Gailey bench Stevie Johnson in the 4th quarter? Listening to the game on the radio made it seem that could be a possibility? What's going on???
  17. Another game and another week we discuss Fitz's inaccuracy. Can we definitely say, pull the plug. He is way to inconsistent and inaccurate to run a spread offense. Do people agree that this QB experiment has gone Fitztragic?
  18. Chan doesn't like using players at their natural positions.
  19. I should be more specific and that they said Wansteddt was calling the 4-3 schemes, and Edwards the 3-4. They didn't say Wanny was calling everything, just elluding to the 4-3 alignments.
  20. Radio broadcast of the game. Murphy and Kelso.
  21. Rayner...lol His inconsistency is the reason we found him on the street.
  22. NO. The problem is they didn't use Brad Smith! But yes, awful coaching.
