  1. Damn, we need a top ten pass rusher! Why can't we find guys like these? Maybin gets to the quartback applying pressure every 6.45 snaps. That is 9th best in the league. I actually like this stat better than total number of sacks. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d824ec208/article/jets-de-maybin-finds-unlikely-bond-with-coaching-intern
  2. This just proves my point. If we would have thrown Maybin to the wolves this year instead of cutting him, at the very worst he has production such as this. We would also know 100% he can't play - alteast for our defensive scheme. Well, Maybin can't stop the run, he's one dimensional? My answer to this is neither can Kelsay. Anyone notice Kelsay can never read a screen pass and always gets caught in nowhere land over pursuing to the quarterback? I think another reason a lot of teams run fake reverses on running plays because of players like Kelsay over pursue.
  3. Maybin is being used on 1st, 2nd and 3rd down situations in NY. Kelsay is very similar to Maybin in that the only thing they can do is rush the passer, but even then they don't put up great production. Their ability to contain the outside and stop the run they are totally lost. At each point in there careers now, they are very similar IMO.
  4. I think each of their skill sets were pretty equal when Maybin played for this Bills. But they cut Maybins ass and Kelsay still makes it on the field every week. Neither can generate any pass rush and kelsay's outside contain is just horrible. I have never seen a DE over pursue as much as Kelsay. In coverage its bad. At this point, and with Maybin's recent success Maybin > Kelsay. And if he keeps on playing with the Jets his ceiling even might rise while Kelsay's is on the downfall. What I am saying, Maybin wasn't providing the production or the progress they expected, yet he didn't make it on the field. Kelsay somehow lacks production year after year and he starts every week. I don't get it?
  5. Just heard this on the radio...550 sports. Looks like we will see Rayner the rest of the year.
  6. Eric Mangini as defensive coordinator with Dave Wanstedtt retaining his position as assistant head coach and linebackers coach.
  7. In 2008, the season where we started 4 and 0, Trent Edwards FINISHED the season with a 65.5% completion percentage which is top tier. Better than Fitz has right now (or will ever be) and will likely be lower than Trents best year when the season is done . In 2009 it was 60.1%, which is again pretty good. See how its misleading and doesn't mean anything?
  8. When you throw passes <10 yeards, the odds of a completion is much greater. It's a misleading stat when you consider that is the type of passes he completes. He is an inaccurate passer downfield in the intermediate to long routes. I don't think anyone can question that. He is not a complete passer because he is one dimensional to the short game. Remember that Trent Edwards completed a lot of passes too. Instead of checkdowns to the back Fitz is completing short passes to WR because of the spread offense. Those are high completion throws by any quarterback. This is why there are some NFL stats like completion% that is VERY misleading and doesn't tell you much about quarterback play.
  9. Yup, that is why I was laughing about this. Doctor/Patient confidentiality.
  10. These are two really good football teams. From top to bottom. I'm jealous. Would love to see these two teams meet in the playoffs. It's a toss up for me. If I had to lay money down, I don't know who I would choose honestly.
  11. The only one I can come up with off the top of my head is Washington and maybe Miami. No QB, still missing alot of pieces offensively and defensively, disfunctional owner, overrated head coach that they are financially tied too... they are perhaps worse than the Bills IMO right now. Its funny to think about it but the team that will have the #1 pick will have Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck at QB. They will have a franchise QB either way and can trade one away to build a dynasty around in one or 2 drafts...lol...that must really suck
  12. Chan Gailey hasn't used him enough in the Wildcat to make that determination. Even though Brad Smith has been successful at converting 1st downs in short yardage situations, even then Chan Gailey shy's away from him. That's what bugs me the most is that you have to open up the playbook with this guy and he hasn't even come close to doing this. Even having him at WR why don't they try a Randel El (Steelers) type play were he comes around on the reverse and throws the ball. That's the stuff I want to see. The only time he has tried to throw the ball was in garbage time early in the year. Like I said he has been a waste, partially due to coaching staffs incompetence in how to use him.
  13. I'm sure there are people that are up on Brad Smith right now because he made a few plays at WR in the last few weeks but IMO I don't like him at that position. He has been probably the most dissappointing player for me this year because all the things he did excellent before he got here in the return game and adding a wrinkle gadget offense is non-existant. He was an electric player! Not no more... We have basically made him into a 3.5 million 4th or 5th WR on our roster. What a shame! We just line up out of the spread no matter what even when it doesn't work! Hopefully the plan next years is not to utilize him at WR but even before the injuries chan liked using him at WR. Only the Bills would screw this guy up...
  14. Mangina errr Mangini is just the ticket for DC especially in our division.
  15. Right now he is your assistant head coach and linebackers coach. Leave him be and bring in Mangini! Yeah, I said it.
  16. It's WORSE than the Jauron implosion! Time to lose out to get the best draft position as possible because we need all the help as possible.
  17. Miami is playing their best football right now. The Jets are somewhat on a downward spiral, but they have the defense to keep them in games. The Bills are imploding and how is it possible we are hitting rock bottom on defense after 11 years of mediocrity. This is the area which might lead us to the bottom of the divison....sigh.
  18. I don't have experience or knowledge about Grant Fidelity or their products. I don't have any knowledge on Shcitt really either, only what I have read about that one issue. They may well indeed be great products. The Beyers are excellent cans. Yes, like it or not if you are are buying AV equipment ASIA is involved somehow in the process with parts, manufacturing, assembly etc.
  19. I really like the AKG K271 MKII and the Beyerdynamic DT880 600ohm. The AKG's are low sensitivity and the Beyerdynamics are high impedance so keep that in mind when looking at an amp. http://www.headphone.com/headphones/beyerdynamic-dt-880---600-ohm.php http://www.headphone.com/headphones/akg-k-271-mk-ii.php NWAVGUY's blog would be a good start to read through on what to look for in a DAC and headphone amp. He has reviewed quite a few. The Little Dot website is unconventional. I purchased the MKIII from David Zhezhe on Ebay (you can also do it through email) who is the authorized seller of Little Dot. Excellent service, and shipping was quick from China. I would buy from them again.
  20. NWAVGUY knows his stuff and he has the equipment/test gear and knowledge to back it up. The only headphone amp I own is a Little Dot MKIII vacuum tube amplifier/pre-amp. Had it for a few years now (still on the original tubes).
  21. Read about that piece of schitt damaging headphones. http://nwavguy.blogspot.com/2011/07/banned-at-head-fi.html
  22. NO WAY! He's a headcase. He quit on his team in a contract year. I would be afraid he would pull an Albert Haynsworth after he gets paid the big contract. He might be alright when things are going good, but what happens when the chips are down and the team is struggling? I don't like his character and the possibility of him being a cancer diva WR. We already have one selfish diva WR in the making. Don't need another one.
  23. Oh, and another tip when using a meat thermometer is always find the thickest area of the meat to insert the thermometer and don't insert the thermometer to deep where it touches bone. That will give a false high reading. Where the correct place is can vary but in terms of birds like whole chickens or turkey the best place is the thigh. I will usually take another reading in the breast as well just for the sake of it.
  24. When your letting meat rest, the temperature is stabilizing and the juice/blood is redistributing itself inside the meat. So while this is happening the meat is actually still cooking during the resting/tenting period. So next time (this goes with any cut), have whatever temperature you have in mind and pull the meat before that temperature. If it is a small piece of meat, and you want to achieve 140 pull the meat and let it start resting at 135-137. For a large roast pull it 6-7 (maybe more) degrees before the desired temp. The larger the cut, the longer it will need to rest. Next time try taking the temp before and after the resting period to get that idea.
